What does God want in Christian churches?

In order to learn what Christ wanted for His church we must first realize the NT is a completion of the OT. Christ said He was a fulfillment. So to understand what Christ stood for and what Christ wanted in God’s church we need to search for what the church fulfills.

That is found in Isaiah 56. Scripture explains what Paul taught as an apostle to the gentiles.

6 And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to minister to him, to love the name of the LORD, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant—
7 these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer.

This is a description of the people God wants to gather on the Sabbath to worship Him.

I don’t believe that these people can add church traditions to scripture like Easter and Christmas, but they must obey God. I don’t think they can change the Sabbaths that God outlines for us in scripture. I don’t think they can toss out what God ordains except for the rituals that the Holy Spirit we are given replaces. The innocent blood of Christ replaces the symbolic blood of Christ that animals were, we must not use them.

We are to be God’s people who love and does not change Him or add or take away from God’s instructions. We are God’s church. The church gathers people who go to Christ to be forgiven their sins so they put on the spirit of Christ. They can then live with the fruits of the spirit.

Brother/Sister, our future is eternally secured in Christ always.
Our "job" may be to suffer the slings and arrows of those in service to the wily-one. And yet, we do have a choice as to whether we shall allow ourselves to be a target or not.
I choose not. I know God does not hear the prayers of sinners. His word tells me this. i won't presume he is unaware of the wily one's agents anywhere they appear at all.Even on the Web that covers the world wide. I pray for such one's once when they bring themselves to my attention and then I carry my light forward and leave them to God. If they find him it is his will. If they remain property of the wily-one, they proudly served in public when catching my attention, they shall not be surprised to meet him when it is time. My prayers for them , are they wasted? If God doesn't hear the prayers of sinners, John 9:31, would he hear those who pray on their behalf? When he's known who are his, those who shall come to him through the son, before the world came to be?

The scriptures teach us and yet God is all and does as he pleases.
I don't suffer the slings and arrows of devils much. If God knows them they'll find their way home.

That is why we have to obey 2 Timothy 3:5. It is the hardest command for me to obey. Many many times I have kept trying to reason with a mixed-up or mis-informed individual past the urgings of the Holy Spirit, because of my soft "heart" and compassion for him or her. The hardest of that was recently with my former wife. So many "have a form of Godliness, but deny the power thereof". It took me until now to move on. I had to leave Nigeria on November 9, 2016. But now I am fulltime again doing ministry, mostly via the Internet. Please pray for me daily. The spiritual enemy doesn't like those who are sharing God's wonderful truths, wisdom, and concerns.

I'm clearly not above it at all either. I tire of a bunch of darkness aligning together to go after me. And yet, rotted fruit stinks to Heaven and God is watching. If my presence here brings that out in those who are here for that purpose, so be it.

Everything according to God's own plan. What happens here does happen in churches.

That which I refer to are so familiar. That which in church sings the hymns, keeps their eyes open while their heads are bowed for prayer, listen attentively to the sermon. And when the service is over gather in their little groups outside and talk like the devil about others who are leaving. Sometimes they smoke. And where do they cast their butts? You got it.

Microcosm, Macrocosm.

God is good all the time! And his opportunity for lessons in his word put into practice are never boring!

Amen! I'd add, don't let anyone stamp a doormat label on your forehead in the meantime. As we know there is that wicked spirit that is lord of this world and that has his own disciples just as our Lord did. If they think we'll turn the other cheek until they beat us to death, they'll happily commence. Physically and verbally.

Um, no. That's not what Christ was telling us to do when under attack. Turn the other cheek, let it not take root in our heart, and draw us out of our peace.
We're to emulate Christ, "Christ-Like" = Christian. God didn't suffer his enemies to abuse him without redress.
Years ago while at a company house that happened to be located across the street from a newly constructed women's health clinic I watched a pro-choice woman get nearly beaten to death by a woman on the other side. Turn the other cheek was her belief apparently as after she was struck the first time, dropping her sign, she did turn her cheek and looked right at me from across the street. Everyone on both sides stepped back and watched as the offender woman hit her again.
Long story short, one of the biggest men I ever saw had pushed his way through the choice crowd from the back and wrapped his arms around the middle of the still swinging offender woman. Her victim was now on the ground having never once lifted her hand in self-defense.

There are those who claim they take the Bible literally. Besides being impossible, in that poor woman's case that I witnessed being beaten, if she ascribed to the scriptures, pro-choice or not, she nearly got beat to death holding to the idea she should stand, and then lay, and take abuse. Horrible. Worse? No one helped her until that giant guy finally showed up.

You responded to my giving others a good information source and you falsely accused me of pronouncing judgement? I am not judging anyone. I don't hate anyone either. I hate the slander and false accusations against me and others. Slander is against God. Also Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul and many other Christian leaders throughout history warned others of false preachers and false prophets. Also much of the Scripture is negative. Easy believism and automatic sanctification teaching makes Satan very happy.

You are a true Christian sister. Thanks for the sympathy or empathy. In John 14-16, Jesus warned His disciples that those of the world would hate the agape ministering as they hated Him for doing such too. Also Matthew 23 after the Two Great Commandments in the chapter before, He stated His hatred against the Pharisees back then. In most churches there are such too. Such a shame. But 2 wrongs never make a right. But there is a righteous anger.

Seven Types of Anger

2.) One is because of very selfish reasons and usually is done to hurt or stop a relationship. It can and usually has violent results.

And in the Macy's parade and 3 football games I watched, I don't think there were any false accusations and slander. How come many secular humanists behave and communicate and cooperate better than many professing Christians?
