Gracie, this earth is already over-populated. Babies are born (and aborted) every day.. many are given up for adoption, some sold into sex trafficking as they get to be teenagers. All ppl care about these days is getting their nut off, and not using protection.. so yes, there ARE too many babies already.
first of all I don’t agree. Second all I this is what I want to say to those who are for abortion (not saying you are. Just spread the word)

I don't know why you're mad at me. I'm against abortion. But like I said, too many ppl just have sex with no protection, and a good many of them don't even want a baby..

SOOO, you don't agree that abortions happen every day? You don't agree that parents give up their kids for adoption? You don't agree that parents murder their babies in all different ways because they don't want them? You don't agree that children get sold in the sex trade? It happens every day..

And you don't agree that too many people are just horny and have sex with no thought of protection?

No, not what I said, I just get angry that this is a thing, that it’s a unsolved issue. I don’t agree that there are too many babies because usually when that becomes a fact they usually try to find a way to get rid of them. But I’m not accusing you that you are saying that just like a mindset that I’ve been feeling that has been tried to be pressured on us

It makes alot of people angry. That's why they boycott and protest doctor's clinics, Planned Parenthood, etc..

I know it’s like how God populates the world and kids raised by Christian parents are a good thing for possible future believers but...do I HAVE to have kids? Is it ok that I don’t want any?

I have a coworker who was talking about her daughter giving her grand babies and that when someone else hadn’t it was like the kid OWED them grandchildren. Like really?

I know it’s a millennial thing but am I alone here? Am I wrong in my attitude?
There's a tee shirt for sale on-line. "7 Billion plus is enough. Thank you for not breeding". WOW! Clearly not a Catholic.

I don't think it is wrong at all to not want children. In fact it is an entirely personal decision a woman or man arrives at an it is entirely right because it is entirely for their own reasons.

Knowing what it means as pertains to me, I'll make it personal. My parents should have never set eyes on each other. Truly.
Mom hated dad to the day he died. And a year and a half later mom died too old and too sick to make a better life for herself after he was finally out of it. Her dreams of doing better for herself never arrived.
My paternal grandmother was abused by her husband all their nearly 70 years of life together. When she was diagnosed with cancer she was glad of it because it was the one way she could finally leave him.

Relationships like that, highly dysfunctional, should never have children in them so that innocent impressionable minds witness what is a role model, as bad as it is, for "relationship". Kids trust without question and believe their parents always. Never thinking they'll lie to them.
Is it any wonder kids in those type relationships end up in them ?

I don't have children. I determined a long time ago I would not have kids. And I love kids. And that's why. It was time to bring the generations of relationship dysfunction unfolding before innocent eyes to a close. And I did. Only one member of the paternal side of the family had kids. And he was so far gone from influence of the paternal side of his mom's family that he likely wasn't a repeat of that poor example.

The greatest responsibility anyone can choose to undertake in this world is that of being a parent. Influencing an innocent mind to grow into a life of their own by your example as their parent(s), is a legacy every parent sets of their own choice into the future. If they are in a toxic relationship the kid see's that even when they don't know it is anything but normal. But it is their normal. And that then progresses into that child's life and they repeat what they witnessed as relationship between two people. They become their parent(s).
Generational curses? No such thing according to scripture. The child does not inherit the sins of their parent(s). However, they can inherit by their example the dysfunctional relationship their parent(s) displayed before them.

And then they spread it forth in their own life as they move forward in relationship.
It has to stop somewhere.

That's my story and opinion.
If you don't want to have kids, don't.

And whatever you do, don't EVER let anyone guilt you into changing your mind through their opinion. They don't have to raise the kids they think you must have.

If you could go back in time, keep your parents from marrying and getting together, and prevent yourself from existing so you could not be a target for Satan, would you?
I do wish I hadn’t been born. I despise life and all of its meaninglessness. Thankfully there is the hope of an eternity with Christ, a King to bring peace and purpose.

Not that I was a bad son, but I think after the hard fought custody battle over me, perhaps my parents also wish they hadn’t met and had children together.

Participating in pointless activity is daunting when you know it lacks purpose. Doing it for Christ gives it meaningfulness but it doesn’t make it less daunting.

(My opinion) well when it’s God’s way He’ll make a way that may just keep you on your toes yes but it’ll be awesome

It is ok to not desire kids. I don't want any kids now as I am not married and not ready for children yet. There are some things that appeal to me about parenthood and other things that don't appeal to me. I may be right now on the fence more or less about it.

Blue, the world being “over-populated” is a myth. As simple as that. For heaven’s sake, how can you say there are too many babies/children on the earth when the birth rate in the western world has decreased significantly…. Women aren’t having more kids as they used to, you know why? Birth control methods/contraception…. Women are encouraged to take the pills to avoid pregnancy when they have intercourse. It’s all out there for them to get. For the sake of having sex without the consequence of having children…. And that’s why the pharmaceutical companies invented the Pill so that they can de-populate the world….believing that it’s over-populating to reach their utopian agenda…it sickens me for people to believe we are overpopulating…..we ARE not….

Look at this….you may say, “But we’re growing exponentially!” Um,...No. We’re not. We are growing, but definitely not at an exponential rate. In fact, our rates of growth are declining. Between 1950 and 2000, the world population grew at a rate of 1.76%. Between 2000 and 2050, it is expected to grow by 0.77 percent. So yes, because 0.77 is greater than zero, it is a positive growth rate, and the world population will continue to grow.

Look at this fact, Blue…. About 48% of all people live in a country with below-replacement fertility.

And that the global total fertility rate is 2.53 children per woman. Sooo please, don’t tell me we’re over-populating…coz there’s no evidence for it….
