I didn't say that you were but that it's a real danger......but even if I did say that to someone it would be biblical as that's what many people did in the new testament just with more context, i assumed since i was talking to someone who knew the Bible that wasn't needed. I'm sorry if i offended you by being arrogant or selfish in any way but if you're offended for any other reason it's probably not my fault anyway God bless
You can't "save" someone while looking down your nose at them. Just a friendly life tip. And no, I'm not a Bible expert. I read it entirely in school, I attended Catholic school for 12 years. But at 38 years old, I haven't read it front to back for years. I retained enough to know that there are things in it that just don't sit well in my soul. Which is why I'm still on the fence about why Jesus has called to me. I've been Pagan most of my adult life. Then again, one could argue that Christianity does have a lot of Pagan roots. But that's an entirely different subject. I didn't join this website to argue with people. I joined it to share my perspective and learn from others too.[/QUOTE]
I'm not looking down on you at all sorry if i made you feel that way, im simply trying to share what the Bible says. I've been very general for the most part i know i don't have all the answers even if i wish i did. I hope you find Jesus but to do that you should pray and read the Bible maybe add some sermons for context and such, i haven't once said that you are less then me or anything even close. I'm not here to argue either just trying to explain my argument but in all honesty i don't think you're even trying to listen, i could be wrong ofc. Anyway I'd ask that you continue to seek Christ but know now that you won't agree with most of what the Bible says because humanity is diametrically opposed to God until changed by Him. Anyway I'll take your advice into consideration, I appreciate you trying to help me talk to others God bless.

Well, I guess I could never be a "true Christian" because there are things in the Bible I will never, ever agree with 100%. I have LGTBQ friends, whom I adore with all my heart, who've been rejected and shunned by Catholic and Christian churches. I came here because I am confused on how people can say that they "love all" and that Jesus "loves all" in one breath, and then the Bible says it's a sin to be gay in another breath. So you tell me how someone is supposed to just accept that.

I'm wondering if someone can ask a moderator to delete my account? I need a membership to ask a mod by private message. I really don't want to stay here, and regret joining all together. Thank you in advance. Take care.

My sister is a lesbian, my brother is a homosexual i love both of them but proper true love means that you hate whatever goes against it. If you love children you must hate child murderers or molestors. True love doesn't hide truth from people it brings it out even if it means hurting their feelings. The Gospel is like a cure to cancer, but if i want someone to get cured from the disease I need to let them know that they are in danger, and that they are sick. Jesus came to cure us of sin and save us from Hell, and he expressed that love by telling people the good news and dying as a sacrifice for our sins. If a doctor loves his patient he has to tell them that they can die. It might make them cry, they might be torn to pieces emotionally, they might get angry with the doctor for bringing them such terrible news but without the knowledge of danger they dont need a cure. If i were to tell them they are ok to make them feel better would that be the loving thing to do? Of course not, doctors would be fired for such things and it is the same for Christians, if we truly love others we tell them they are sick( they have sinned and are evil by nature) we tell them they can die(go to Hell) and when they understand both of those things then we can give them the cure( the gospel) but repentance is required i can't force anyone to take the cure or accept the gospel, but neglecting that duty would be like watching somebody die from a disease without ever offering help, the cure. I love my sister and brother, i love you too. I do not think I'm better then anyone as a matter of fact I'm probably the worst person here, i truly look at myself as scum and it would be immoral to look at myself otherwise, but I care about you and my family so if i don't explain sin, that you, just like me, have sinned against God and deserve Hell I'd be a selfish fool, and i would show that i care more about how you look at me then i care about your well being. So yes i can love my sister while telling her that she is committing sin and that she deserves to go to Hell for it, love demands it.

Wow, your sister is sure a lucky gal to have a brother who'd tell her she's going to hell for following her own heart. You should be so proud. What an advocate for LGTBQ rights. Way to go. Just so long as YOU are saved, and YOU can sleep better at night for telling others they are going to hell, right? Oh, you mean that mythical fire pit? Some people don't even believe it exists, and I'm one of them. Again, I would like a mod to remove my account, so I stop getting notifications and replies. I regret the decision to join Christian Chat, and regret for veering off my Pagan path for even a minute. THIS is why I can never be Christian, right here. THIS is why so many people turn away from Jesus. It's people like you who give this religion a BAD NAME. Serves me right for questioning my own Gods, for being weak and giving in. A great lesson from Odin himself. Blessed Be to you, and I hope that one day you can think for yourself too.

I assumed that people would be accepting and open-minded here, but I assumed very, very wrong. And this is why Pagans and Christians have been arguing for thousands of years...
I'll gladly return to the Gods of my ancient ancestors, who pre-date Christianity by thousands and thousands of years.
Joining this forum was an eye-opening experience that I was supposed to go through. A test, if you will.

You are so "accepting" and "open minded" you believe Christians do not think for themselves... but isn't it funny, people who believe that often want to tell us what to believe instead? You think you have the right to espouse the truth as you understand it, but when others espouse the truth as they understand it, you mock them, and blame them, and people like them, for your decisions, and the decisions others like you make as well. Guess what? That will not fly in the face of God. When you stand before God, you cannot boo hoo and blame other people for what you chose to do, and what to believe. He knows all your reasons why, any ways. He knows you are deceived, and that your pride of life blinds you to the truth of His eternal Word. You're smarter than all that, you are better than that, right? He knows you supress the truth. As creator of the universe and giver of life, it is His right alone to decide how to deal with those who, in the final analysis, reject Him, whether you like it, or not. Romans one was written for you :)

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

1. Being feminine means... holding yourself with grace and extending lots of help with warmth and kindness (nurturing), probably more emotional

2. Being unfeminine means...being cold and foul mouthed (not nurturing)

3. Being masculine means...Being a strong and steady, ready to take on the day

4. Being unmasculine means... being extra sappy and super dramatic

Do you have any alcoholic or adulterous friends? Any friends who are atheists or take the lord's name in vain? If you can admit they are doing things that are sinful, yet still be friends with them... Why do you do have to justify homosexuality in order to be friends with homosexuals?

Also, being masculine can be:

-Saying Grace before a meal
-Protecting the family
-Headship in the family and in church

This is your truth. It isn't mine.
I'm certain of that now.

There is no "rule book" for my beliefs, mainly because when the Romans invaded and took over ancient lands, they made good and sure that whatever was written, was destroyed.

If I did have a rule book by my Gods, it would be simple:

1. Be a good person.
2. Don't hurt people.
3. Be true to your heart.
4. Work hard.
5. Help others whenever you can.
6. Respect your elders.
7. Share what you have with others.
8. Feed the poor.
9. Take care of animals and the Earth.
10. Don't judge unless you yourself are perfect.

But apparently Pagans are "wicked".

I would rather be "wicked" and be true to who I am, than to follow the flock.

Blessed Be
)O(

Because I have friends who are part of the LGTBQ community who have been shunned by the community and turned away by the very Church who claims that they will accept and love all. This is the contradiction about the church that drives me nuts. The church claims to love and accept everyone...which it does not. At least none that I have seen. At least none where I live. Yes there are people who do other things behind closed doors that are easier to hide from others. I was using the experience that my friends have had who are part of the LGTBQ community.

It sure does. Because I'm speaking for the many other religions in the world that are not Christian. You do realize that Christianity is but one of many paths that people can follow? Just because you have found truth in it, does not mean that is the truth for the entire world. You can't tell me that every other religion, including those that predate Christianity by thousands of years, are wrong. I'm so glad that I have an open mind and I don't live by one rule book, and I don't live in a little box of ideals. But thanks for looking down your nose at everybody who doesn't think like you do.
I came here with honest questions and I asked them very politely until I was met with hostility and judgment. It is not your job to judge people, that is Creator's job.
And that says it all.

Far it be from me to be the voice of reason here but I feel compelled to bring order to a chaotic thread. Lets discuss our differences as adults and not behave as children. I am sure we can settle our differences in peace without judging or attacking peoples character. Carry on :)

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved, other than Jesus Christ. Yeah, you come here telling us how tolerant you are like everyone else who looks down their noses at Christians. There is nothing new under the sun :) You have been very hostile but I guess you do not see it.
