It is written that faith comes from hearing the message. May I know if these 4 kinds of soil refer to those who heard the message but differ in their manner of acceptance and endurance. Did they believe the message or not? Thanks and God bless.

Here is my take on the Parable of the Sower. Only the GOOD SOIL is a Real Born Again Christian, and the Rocky Soil and the Thorn Infested Soil are those that Fall Away, because they NEVER PRODUCE A HARVEST of LOVE FOR HIM. They were NEVER BORN AGAIN.

They Art the Ones how think they are Christians, but find HE SAYS "I NEVER KNEW YOU":
Matthew 7:21-23 (HCSB)
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but ⌊only⌋ the one who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 On that day many will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?’ [.They did those deeds with a WRONG MOTIVE in their Heart, it has to be purely LOVE FOR HIM.]
23 Then I will announce to them, ‘I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!’
He is referring to true Repentance and receiving HIM genuinely,
in an Inner, Personal, LOVE Relationship as your LORD, meaning MASTER.
Therefore that IS what Born Again, actually IS, when the HOLY SPIRIT Births our Human Spirit into ETERNAL LIFE.
That is why this verse in 1 John is ABSOLUTELY TRUE.
1 John 2:19 (HCSB)
19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.
My view:
God sows the good seed (THE WORD) into the field with four kinds of soil. Just as God sows the WORD into our hearts upon hearing the message through a preacher or receiving the message through the inspired scriptures in the bible, we will understand that if we confess Jesus as our LORD and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved.
My question is, did the 4 kinds of soil in the parable heard and received the message and did they believe or not?

Hi Arguless, the simple answer to the parable of the four soils is; the seed is the word of God and the soil is our heart. So yes each persons heart heard the message and yes each heart received and accepted God's word but under different circumstance. Did they believe the message? Yes but with differing degrees of belief…
I agree with Truthtalk here that they believed, and as some here in this forum teach and say that “we are saved the moment we believed”, do you agree then that this parable refers to the kind of believers because what was sown were good seeds as compared to the one sown by the enemy that grew into weeds. That even believers can be snatched of their seed and fall away because God allowed the weeds to grow with the wheat until the day of judgment when he will separate them and throw the weeds into the fire to be burned.
