Are you suggesting that ALL OT saints have been bodily "resurrected" (and that that is what Matthew 27:52-53 is about)?? I disagree. Why does Peter then later say, in Acts 2,

"29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day."

No, Matt27:52-53 is NOT about the BODILY resurrection of ALL OT saints now existing BODILY up in Heaven with Christ (presently). Peter was not wrong in what he stated in Acts 2. ;)

Daniel 12:13 refers to what will occur at the END of the trib. Daniel will be present on the earth FOR the promised and PROPHESIED earthly Millennial Kingdom.
Yes he did die and his sepulchre was /is there today.

The question is, is it empty.

If The Lord wanted us to know when he was returning don't You think he'd of told us? We are all liars and cheats and if most of us knew when he was coming we would know when to repent. He wants us to repent NOW not the day before he returns. It might be a wink from now or it might 1000 years I choose to be ready now. I'd hate to disappoint him or get LEFT BEHIND!
Amen

Tribulation is indeed a purifier.
But not for the wise virgins. They saw no tribulation ( in their waiting for the groom).
Infact, neither did the foolish until AFTER. The groom came and went.
Wow,yet another verification of a pretrib rapture.
I had never considered it before!
...but yes, they were sorta purified by the AC.
It says " they washed their robes", indicating soiled garments.
Solidly a pretrib rapture
I am not a pretribber. In fact I believe the rapture where the faithful are caught up to God, to be spiritual in nature, and not one where the faithful will be whisked up to heaven having departed the earth.
The devil on the earth going to wage war with the woman's offspring (Revelation 12:17) who earlier have been caught up God and His throne (Revelation 12:5), indicate the remnant surviving offspring man child are physically on the earth.

As for the ten virgins, they all fall asleep.
This falling asleep is during the reign of the beast at which time its system through the AC will be standing where it ought not, that is within our hearts.
The AC will have 1,260 days in which he will wear out the saints (Daniel 7:25), overcoming them (Revelation 13:7).
The beast and AC's system that will have the whole faithless world adoring its system, will be so marvelous that it will even have an effect on the faithful, overcoming them for 42 months (1,260 days).

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

The first is the rapture.
Mat 25 depicts it vividly.
Show me a single verse depicting a post trib rapture or resurrection.
Just one will do, cause in 40 yrs of study i have never seen one
My post wasn't actually about when the rapture happens but as you mention it I will answer your point.
If you read Matthew 25 in its entirety there is not a single verse about the timing of the rapture at all.
In fact none of the verses so often quoted by Pre Tribbers actually say when the rapture happens in
reference to the tribulation only that it will occur.

In Matthew 25 Jesus gives the parable of the bridesmaids. Immediately
after that he teaches the parable of the talents and how the unprofitable servant will be
cast into outer darkness which pre tribbers never include in their scererio at all. He follows
on with how he will come in glory with his Angels and divide the nations for judgement
as a shepherd divides the Sheep and the Goats. None of this sounds like the silent secret
coming that Pre Tribbers are so fond of.

The disadvantage of having the Bible divided into Chapters and verses is that it allows
people to do cut and paste jobs on scripture by taking bits out of context and other liberties
Groups like the JWs among others would find it hard to exist without them

Paul actually gives the order of events quite plainly to the Thessalonians. He says that there will be a falling away
first then the man of sin will be revealed and the Lord will destroy him with the brightness of his coming,
Thess 2:2 1-12. It didn't take me 40 years to understand that

Nothing in the Olivet Discourse speaks of our Rapture.

And Paul does supply the SEQUENCE; that is, how [when] the Rapture occurs IN RELATION [TIME-WISE] TO the tribulation period's commencing/arriving/starting (commencing/arriving/starting at its INITIAL "birth PANG [singular]," the first of many more "birth PANGS [plural]" to follow on from that initial one).

Okay (and you're welcome :) ), but what do you mean by "interesting," if I may ask?

Do you mean that you agree with me that David's BODY is still in the sepulchre (awaiting "resurrection"), or that you still believe David has already been bodily resurrected and taken to Heaven (physically/bodily, present there now)?

Well, again thanks for that.
I am looking at it now. I had to work today.
Glad you are independently searching the word out. You may be right. I will gladly ( cough cough ) admit i am wrong if need be.

There are symbols given denoting events just prior to the end times. No time given though!

Let me ask you a brief question. :)

Do you believe the following context indicates a few things [in bold] which only took place on a specific day, in Israel's [OT] history (even though this refers to events in the future trib)?

Revelation 8 -

1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into/unto the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

[thus providing timing/sequence/chronology that is not overtly evident to the casual reader, but is indeed woven throughout nonetheless, here and other like things...]

P.S. I believe the 7-yr/70th-Wk/tribulation-period runs from SEAL #1 to the time of His Second Coming to the earth, Rev19.

The vast majority of people who call themselves Christians believe that Jesus could come any second, any minute, any hour, any day, any week, any month. I disagree and here is why.

YOU are not ready. And when I say YOU I don't mean you as an individual, I mean you as part of the universal church from which emerges the Bride of Christ.

What do we see when we look at the church today?

First we see division. Denominations are in competition with each other based on doctrines. They fail to unite to influence towns and cities and states and countries with the gospel. Denominations and doctrinal disagreements are Satan's greatest tool to keep the church divided.

Next we see sin. Yes, the church is full of the same sins found in the world. No wonder the world mocks the church when it is full of the same sins it judges the world for committing.

Another big problem is that people who think of themselves as saints are living the same way as sinners. It's every man for themself and keeping up with the Jonses. "Christian" life is all about trading up to a newer and better and more expensive home or car or cell phone or LED TV or etc. It certainly isn't about sharing all things and not seeking possessions and the pleasures they bring.

Finally the church is utterly failing to realize its earthly responsibility to show the world what life in and with God is all about. For God so loved the world that He sent his Son, Jesus, to save it. This is the ultimate task of Jesus, i.e. to save this world, and the plan is to do this using the church.

Jesus is not coming back to marry a dirty slut lying in a gutter cowering in fear of persecution and begging to be rescued. He is returning to marry a glorious Bride who is standing tall wearing dazzling robes of righteousness which represent good works. She is an overcomer and a conqueror. She is without spot (sinless) and without wrinkle. This word wrinkle comes from a Greek verb meaning to rescue and with the prefix "a" means not needing to be rescued. Wrinkle is a terrible translation.

I believe it will be several years before Jesus can turn His church around and get it headed in the right direction. This will be the reason for the big worldwide economic collapse that's coming. He has to shake up the world and especially those who claim to follow Him.
I think you are not seeing clearly.
There are Christians through out the world laying their life on the line for Christ. There are many Christians world wide making overcoming sin a priority.
There are many praying day and night.
Many out reaching and testifying and defending the faith. So while some tares have grown up among the wheat and while there are hypocrites and phonies and false prophets his word declares that it is as he said it would be. I see nothing that isn't foretold us in the scriptures. Ardent passionate lovers of Christ and vile self satisfiers and slovenly lazy and sleeping would be servants world wide and interspersed. So yes he could come at any moment, it is exactly as he said it would be in the day he would return.
It's probably a good day to make ready because if he comes today or of he comes in 100 years at some point along that time line you will meet him face to face because if you don't live to see his return, you will go to him. Could be in a car wreck, plane crash, or heart attack or any cause on a long enough time line your mortality will come to a halt, and there you will be standing before him as either an object of his Mercy or of his wrath.

Some will be ready,some not.
Not being ready would be the 5 foolish virgins.
They were not ready but amazingly had physically positioned themselves to watch and wait.
Those mocking his appearance at any moment will not be taken in the rapture as they have not even positioned themselves to await the groom.
Seems a little foolish.
"....but pray you are counted worthy to escape...."
Not only are they not praying, but mocking those that do
"....as it was in the days of noah..."

It could be any time since it's coming "by surprise" and "quickly". Maybe you thinking it's not going to be in your life time, but then it is, is exactly what it means by surprise and quickly? ;)

I mean
There you are thinking it's not going to be now or yet because of x or y or z reason. But you don't know what's going on behind the scenes my friend. Sure I'm swayed into believing we could yet see some kind of apocalypse. Hey every civilization has! Why not us? And that indeed there are seemingly some things that appear like they are to happen and yet to happen like a new temple and blood moons signs and wonders in the sky (project blue beam?) Wars and rumors of wars. Peoples tongues melting in their mouth (nuclear radiation?), hyper diseases, a great falling away yadda yadda yadda but then bam! He could still indeed come back at any moment in time especially even right now. Literally today even. Nobody knows, not even the Son accept God only the day and time. You know? :)

Like a "thief in the night!"
Means unexpected. Like ya won't even "see" it coming! Like, SURPRISE!! But, not a good, nor welcome one!
Sometimes, words and terms used in the Bible in describing an event, are trying in the conveying of emotions, feelings, and "effect/s", as well as "aftershock/s", concerning the same event.

THE LAST WORDS OF THE BIBLE;

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

JESUS ARE YOU COMING????
YES,YES,YES,YES,
YOU ARE COMING!!!!!!!
YOU SAID SO.
