Really, to put it into simple terms and context, the teaching that claims we have to work to stay saved is not only straight out of the pit, but insults the work of Christ on the cross. And God's sovereign grace.
Thinking a self professed Christian has to work to stay in God's good graces and remain saved is narcissism. And a characteristic of selfishness.
Living to go to work every day with the idea those efforts keep that worker in grace is that which keeps that workers mind on self. And reward for self. And it therein distracts from where an actual Christian's focus is meant to be. On God and his will for those in his church, the body that are the actual grace blessed holy spirit filled individual Christians in community. Serving God's purpose for each and every one of them individually as servants of God in this world where the evil one controls the fallen.
And for sure I think 3664 pages in this thread arguing back and forth about what is crystal clear in Christ's death on the cross proves that. The worldly self-absorbed narcissism spirit cannot accept what is sacred and holy and absolute in God's breath. Because such persons demonstrate what God's breath (the scriptures) forewarn.
The things of the spirit cannot be comprehended by those who are not in the spirit.
That's why those absorbed in their attentions by that which gratifies the flesh, the idol of self, insist they and their committed fleshly, thought filled, efforts and arguments make for God keeping his irrevocable promise of eternal life and salvation in him.
That ideology isn't capable of letting go and trusting God. Self is thought to work in concert with God to keep God's promise.
That's not what Immanuel Jesus died for.
And if 3664 pages don't prove that which is in covenant with that fleshly delusion shall never be swayed by the spirit of the word they clearly do not comprehend, what will 3664 pages more do to change that? We don't save ourselves. We certainly won't persuade worshipers of the flesh to change their focus when no one comes to the father but he calls them. Meaning, we have nothing to do with that. And we certainly can have nothing to do with turning flesh idolaters away from their mirror arguing page after page against that works saves teaching that is unbiblical from the first word of it.
We're trying to argue the devils doctrine into the Lord's grace? Really? 3664 pages and months later how's that working out? Has any flesh idolater, works saves, promoter changed their mind here?
No?
Why is that?
Because GOD SAVES!
People don't talk the fallen into salvation.
