The man was rich in spirit for considering Jesus as only being 'a good teacher' and never good God, and was also proud for he thought he had everything covered in terms of keeping the law.
There's no cut mark for being materially wealthy or poor, having functioning eyes/ears/tongue (mouth)/hands/limbs to some is all the wealth that they ever needed. Jesus's teachings are embedded in the spiritual and not the material.
Jesus ended this teaching with an interesting saying, "..the last shall be the first, and the first, last.." what did He actually mean by that?
According to you, it means the most wealthy person shall be the last and the poorest person shall be the first?!!
