I see. If you believe that the King James Bible is inspired by God, then that would explain our differences right there I think.

I'm not sure what you mean about "The farther away we get from where it first began..." are you saying it all began with the King James Bible?
No, I mean the farther we get from the beginning of time. Those that were here after the flood knew the truth about what was going on in the world. The farther away we get from that, is full of lies and deception.

I'm married and my husband works away from home weeks at a time. So lately I have been watching porn to satisfy my sexual desires. I know that it's wrong but it's so hard to give up.I feel at times that it's better to watch porn that physically cheat on him with someone else. I'm so ashamed to talk to anyone else about it. Has anyone else had a problem with watching porn?
Now that you are aware of your sin make a conscious effort to not do it. Don't sit here and let people shame you into thinking your bad and theres no point in even trying. Instead
Your doing something wrong, realize it and dont do it again.

Do you mean that the King James translation is more accurate then any translation today because it's 400 years closer to the flood?

Your Pornography Habit Will Send You To Hell.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”

We mustn’t forget that 1 Corinthians is a letter written to Christians, not non-Christians. Apostle Paul is reminding believers, “Do not be deceived.” That is, do not be misinformed, if you (even as a professing Christian) walk in habitual and unrepentant sin you will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

there is an eternal difference between the person who is apologetic about his sin and the person who is repentant about his sin. One will send you to hell while the other won’t. The word repent means: To turn away from.

So, I have a question for you. If you’re continuing to look at pornography week after week and month after month after asking God for, forgiveness of sin, have you truly turned away from your sin? The answer is no. Your repentance is in fact, a mere apology. You are sorry, shameful and even guilty of your sin but you are not repentant.

Let me illustrate it another way. There’s a difference between the man who walks a hundred miles, slips into a mud puddle, gets up, wipes the mud off his clothes and continues moving forward; and the man who walks a hundred miles, slips into a mud puddle, pulls out his beach towel, stays at the muddle puddle, and willingly jumps back into the mud over and over again.

how many unrepentant sinners are in Heaven? According to Paul, there’s zero. Now you might add, “But doesn’t Paul also tell us, ‘There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus?'” Yes, as a matter of fact he does. But let’s look at the second part of that verse—the part everyone seems to leave out.

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”

Yeah. That means there is condemnation for those who choose to walk according to the flesh and not in the Spirit.

Conclusion

Pornography is fornication & idolatry. It creates a habit of lust that leads a person to surrender his mind, body, money, time, and purity in service to it. It becomes his/her god and master.

Like Nehemiah6 stated; sit down with your husband and talk to him about being away from home for long.

Communication in our relationship matters alot. Lastly, quit the porn sin asap and start living a holy life.

May the Lord help you.

I see, and of course a person is certainly welcome to decide that.

Following the same idea, would the Wycliffe translation be even more accurate, since it's 200 years older then the King James?

Well then I'm confused. The King James is more accurate because it's older then say the American Standard Version, but the Wickliffe is not more accurate even though it's older than the King James?

So ... if a person has studied Old English, and can easily understand Wickliffe, for that person it would be more accurate than the King James, sounds like.

There is nothing in Scriptures that teaches that if a person sexually gratifies themselves they have committed a sin. It is usually the method that a person uses to sexually gratify themselves that is considered sinful. such as porn usage.
A person who sexually gratifies themselves on a regular basis will have need to have outside support to continue said behavior. For example a person who desires to masturbate daily, will need outside support in order to do so, such as looking at porn. Opposed to a person who masturbates once a month, needs no outside support.
So then determinedBeing7631 Do it less often, so that when you do need to sexual gratify yourself you can think of your husband in whatever way you desire to achieve desired goal. You only need the porn because you desire to do it more than you actually need to do it.

And if you are one of those who feel like you absolutely need to look at porn, then make some porn with your spouse, and when he/she is gone, look at those to do what you feel is needed. What is sinful is lusting after those who are NOT your spouse, nothing wrong with lusting after you spouse, even with pictures or videos.

I know your post is over a year old, but I like to bring forth my view on masturbation. The questions that has to be asked is, not if masturbation is wrong, but can a person masturbate without fantasizing, in other words, portraying in the mind porn or thinking of sexual gratification with women? Is it okay for person who never got married to masturbate to release sexual tension? Is it okay for a married man to masturbate? I will briefly respond to the three questions talking to the men ...

1) Can a person masturbate without fantasizing, in other words, portraying in the mind porn or thinking of sexual gratifications with other women? I will say this... that even though one can, most likely a high percentage can't. In my opinion, I will say over 90s will fantasize because it is extremely difficult to not fantasize about other women while masturbating.

2) Is it okay for person who never got married masturbate to release sexual tension? I know that in the human anatomy sexual tension comes upon a man, but the question is... What moved the person to want to masturbate, was it a though, was it that they saw a beautiful woman or is that the body just created this sexual tension? Only the person himself know, but again, a high percentage cannot escape the thought of fantasizing about other women.

3) Is it okay for a married man to masturbate? I would follow with this question... Why would a married man want to masturbate, doesn't he have a wife? Then one might say, that he masturbates because he cannot be intimate with his wife due to some kind of medical issues that she in going through that involves sex. The question I bring forth, doesn't your wife have hands that can arouse you to release you from that sexual tension? Now, assuming that the wife actually depriving the husband from intimacy whether it is through sex or arousing with the hands? Then there is a problem with the marriage, you need council and I would refer you to read again number two.

Scriptures is not clear in the subject of masturbation, and maybe because God knows all things, but remember that if a man masturbates fantasizing in porn or with other women, then I will say that it is sinful, but if he masturbates without those thoughts, but just to release that sexual tension that fell upon him then I will safely say it is not wrong. The danger here is that one can condition themselves to masturbate all the time, which will ultimate cause them to do it with filth, sinning against God.

I hope that with the above, God through his Spirit is able to open your eyes, giving you an understanding of this topic, and to strengthen you if you have a problem with masturbation. It is a difficult subject to talk about and many will not discuss it and if they do, most likely they will not be direct, they leave it to the individual to decide for themselves. With this being said, I will safely state that one can masturbate to release sexual tension, but only if they do it focusing on just releasing the sexual tension that came upon them and not fantasize, but remember, it is extremely difficult to masturbate without fantasizing and the danger in masturbating is that one can condition himself to continue masturbating and that is dangerous for the above reasons.

Pray and seek deliverance.
Confess and tell your spouse, who will forgive you and will do soemthign about the problem. But if you cant do that, tell God and He will deliver you, its a spirtual thing to do with idolatry. Demons find it easiest to enter via sex and graphic porn...the Israelites had the same problem. what happened was they even put porn in the temple and needed to confess and remove it.

I dont usually answer old threads but masturbation is something you CAN be delivered from. God wants youto be pure and to know how to handle your temple without concupiesece..(sp) that is, to keep it clean. Your body is a temple of the holy spirit. It is not meant to be shared with anyone else unless its your spouse.

--------------

The person who indulges in self-gratification which probably would be a better word, not only should he confess his sin unto God, but he should seek God so that God can teach him. One can pray all the times, but if you are not picking of the Scriptures to read you are not allowing God to teach you. I don't think he has to tell his wife what he is doing, he needs to be clear to her that if she deprives him from intimacy it will driving him to self-gratification and that is dangerous for several reason and explain them. I am not giving the reason because they are the one that needs to tell their wife what they are going through.

Year old news, but what is posted on this topic can help someone down the road.

I'm going to post a video here that has some good advice, and understanding. I know he is talking to men, that's only because generally speak it a universal man's problem, but we have to also recognize that it is a growing among women.

I didn't even look at the date of the op.
But from what it looks like concerning the help she got here, it's not a wonder that she isn't here anymore.

Oh well, maybe someone else may benefit from it.

I remember you from 5 or 6 months ago...:)
Is the porn something your husband got you into and encouraged?
From what I have seen, it's usually the man who talks the woman into it.

I remember you talking about catching him in a dalliance with another woman online, correct?
I hope this is not a troll... 😐

Are you not aware that in some societies, due to a lack of opportunities, some persons have to go outside of where they live for work and education?

A man or woman who can leave their family and go far away, even to another country to earn a living for their family, is not a poor excuse of a person. As far as I'm concerned, that person is a hero.
It's not good to be separate though, they need to sort it out somehow; maybe move nearer to his work, or he get a different job if possible but if they pray I'm sure the Lord will lead them in righteousness for His Name's sake, to a solution...

Nope I am pretty confident that I have Grace completely right. What you have done above is what many in my life have done before. Quote a verse and I would take it as fact because “that’s what the Bible says” but Thank God he has grown me in my wisdom to know better.

Most often people take the Bible out of text becaus they want to put our today’s definition on the words of way way yesterday. When the Bible was being written the word “fear” had several meanings.

Fear of the Lord can be defined as “the continual awareness that our loving heavenly Father is watching and evaluating everything we think, say, and do. Godly fear isn’t the same as fear of a tyrant, or a dictator. We don’t need to fear His anger, unless we fear punishment due to a bad conscience and impenitent heart because of sin. (Romans 2: 5-9)

To fear God is absolute reverence and awe for an Almighty God, the Creator of all things

So do I fear in that definition; Godly fear...YES, but I got the impression you weren’t thinking that; more tyrant role. I apologize if I misread it.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” ( 1 John 4:18)
You should be talking to your husband about this not other men on a forum.
