Yup but doesn't it also mention that he chastise his sons. How do you become a son?
My neighboring kids and myself, when I was young would do some bad stuff together and my Dad would give me a spanking, but he would not spank the neighbor kids because they were not his children. That is the same way our heavenly Father does to his children and if they are not his children, he does not punish them until the last day. Yes, discipline shows a love for those who receive it, and God does not love those that have not the Spirit. Romans 8:9, Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he in none of his.
God created all of us..your neighbor didnt..lol..God didnt give your dad the neighbor kids as his responsibility..he gave him you...i dont think the analogy is quite the same..God wants ALL PEOPLE TO COME TO HIM..some people just dont choose God..unfortunately but that does NOT mean that God doesnt love them...
If God tells US to love and pray for those who persecute us..why would God not love his own creation even if we persecute him? Example..thief on the cross and many others that didnt believe that God loves..but you cant chasten a person if they dony know any better..if they never hear about God how can He chasten them for not living a Godly life? Doesnt make sense..but once we have an undetstanding who God is and what He expects from us and CHOOSE to be disobediant..we might be chastened...

Agreed but how one becomes His son or daughter doesnt answer the OPs question..

God isnt talking about the christians here..ones tgat already HAD accepted Him..pretty clear

I am under the impression that we become his son's and daughter's when we are born again as stated in Eph 2:5
Good ussumption but God loves the lost and unsaved..thats the reason Jesus died..not for the SAVED people..we ALL were lost at one time..God didnt start loving us just when we become saved
we became His SONS AND DAUGHTERS IN HIM at that time and thats why He CHASTENS us after that fact...LOVE EQUALS CHASTENING..remember? Ive said all this 3 times..given you scripture and you still fail to acknowlege anything regarding it2 Pet 3:9, We have to go back to 2 Pet 1:1, to keep it in context to see who Peter is talking to, and it is "to them that have obtained like precious faith". The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward ( Peter is including himself in this warning of being disobedient to God, by using the word "US-WARD" ), not willing that any should perish ( when we are disobedient to God, we separate ourselves from fellowship with God, which in other scriptures, means [death = perish], but that all, (them that have like precious faith) should come to repentance. Any time you find scriptures using the words, repent, trust, confess, accept, believe etc. they have reference to disobedient children of God, not to the unregenerate. John 3:16-17-18- For God so loved the WORLD (greek translation = pertaining to believers only) that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth - [present tense, not will believe - future tense] in him should not perish [die ], but have everlasting life. Pardon me for repeating myself, but you need to re-read 1 Cor 2:14 to see what limits the natural man has.
I am sorry that you have not been observant of the scriptures that I have given you. If God chastens those that he loves, which you say is all mankind, then why does David say in Ps 73:5 they are not PLAGUED [divinely punished] as other men? Yes, love equals chastening, and if God does not chasten, does that mean he did not love them? Answer- YES. In John 6:39, For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, [that of all which he hath given me ] I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. Jesus said he would raise all (mankind?, no, but all the Father gave him). If God gave him all mankind, and he will lose nothing, will all mankind live in heaven? I don't think that will compute. First of all, read 1 Cor 2:14 to get an understanding of the limitations that the natural man has, in the fact, that he cannot discern spiritual things, until he has been born of the Spirit. Romans 10, Paul is praying to God for Israel that they may be saved (delivered) from their lack of knowledge. He says that they have a ZEAL (the natural man cannot have a zeal of God) of God, but not according of knowledge, for they are going about to establish their own righteousness, by working the works of the old law (like most on this forum are doing). Paul further tells them if they will listen to the word he is preaching, confess and believe it is by God's grace and not by their works that they shall be saved (delivered from the sin of believing in their works). The natural man cannot confess of a spiritual law that he does not understand. Anytime you see scriptures that are using the word's, confess, repent, believe, accept, etc. they will be referencing the disobedient child of God, not the natural man.
So..tell me this..why did Jesus die?
God lives ALL MANKIND but not ALL mankind will choose to love HIM. And those that CHOOSE not to love Him will not go to Heaven
I think I explained this passage already (or perhaps in a different thread?).
Where it says "all THAT [neuter]" it is not referring to individual persons, as it does where it says "all [or every one] WHO [masculine]" (which ARE individual persons). What and who He will "raise up AT/IN THE LAST DAY" is all that He has and possesses (things AND persons), such as His earthly [Davidic] throne [and governing] and so forth. [the last day being more than a 24-hr day]
Jesus is NOT just merely repeating Himself, here, in these several verses.
Jesus died to do the will of his Father. His Fathers will was for Jesus to die as a sacrifice to God, not to man, for the sins of all those that God gave him, and all that he died for will live with him in heaven, without the loss of even one. Tell me this....... Why didn't Jesus die for all mankind?
God didnt need a sacrifice..if you feel he did..what sid He need a sacrifice for if it had NOTHING to do with man? Did you not read and believe the scripture John 3: 16-18? You cant pick n chose what scriptures to believe and what not? Lol

WE/mankind make up the "world".WHO Created the world/mankind? (God)
The verse doesnt say he l9ves ONLY THOSE THAT WILL LOVE HIM BACK..lol. "ALL" not exclusive
I dont know why this is so hard for you to understand because quite a few other people have explained this to you as well..
@ForestGreenCook...please show me a scripture that states that God only loves the saved people..and..that Jesus only died for the saved people

Does G-d hate you? If not what do you do to be the type of Christian He does not hate? Or do you trust G-d or just yourself to be good enough to meet the standard, Yeshua…. perfection?
God does not hate me and He never did.
I don't do anything to cause God to love me, I actually committed some of the worst sins imaginable before my conversion and I will continue to sin until I die, but His Son has paid for all of my past, present and all future sins.
I don't have a clue why God choose to save me and give me eternal life in paradise and all the riches of the universe, while others who are very good people who love everyone and strive to help the poor and they do as much as they can to make the world a better place are going to spend eternity in hell.
So I don't know why God chose to save me, a wicked sinner and cast good people into hell. It's a mystery which nobody knows or understands apart from God Himself.
