Love thunderstorms, especially severe ones.
I usually don't mind them. However they have been interfering with me firing up my grill/smoker all week. I got steaks and a brisket to get cooked. But for the most part. I enjoy rain and the occasional Thunderstorm.

Elk leaves a waxie residue/after taste on the roof of your mouth like venison as I remember but hot chilis cures that.
I soak mine in a liquor of somekind first. It tames some of the gamey taste, breaks down fat, and tenderizes. I used to grow all kinds of hot peppers. had em with every meal. so I hear ya there :)

I don't drink much wine. When I do it is usually a Beau Noir a red table wine.
Usually I have Brandy or Scotch. And like last night sometimes mix Jack and Pepsi or Bourbon and Pepsi. Always after or with a meal and usually only one. All my docs for the last 15 yrs have recommended I have a drink or two. If someone struggles with addiction then no, it would not be wise. If a person also has liver damage or blood sugar issues, or takes certain meds it is not wise. One should always talk to their health care provider.
I like the light n fruity ones like Reislings but those probably have the calories due to sweetness..

I understand just south of here in Texas wild boars are such a nusance you don't even need a special liscinse or tags, just go kill 'em but take what you slaughter with you. I've even seen them sold out of the backs of trucks.

Yep, we caught an 8' lemon off the coast in FL. I was not a big fan.
I did some research on meats, after my doc told me they were bad. IE.. pork, catfish, shrimp ect... Then I look at the bible to understand some of the food restrictions. Most is today common sense. for example pork if full of bacteria, it can't sweat, and eats everything and anything. It is a filter organism. very bad for your body. Catfish, shrimp, ect... all are bottom feeders and a filter system. it would be safer to eat your own unclean liver than consume some of this stuff. So after hearing from my doctor, doing research and looking at God's word. I stopped eating alot of things folks eat told. My body has thanked me for it!!

Shark is tricky, not all breeds are good or eatable. I've had lots, Dad worked for Chicken of the Sea 38 years. Stuff they didn't can, pack or otherwise make into food like Sea Bass, Shark, Calimari, Smelt, Octipus and the like could go home with the employees. Well untill they figured out hoe to powder and dehydrate it. And sell it as cat chow, dog chow, fertilizer and almost anything with the word chow in it.
