Yes, that would be an error. And I didn't say that.
Uh, no.......it's the same 'you', but with a Holy Spirit makeover. You're only new in the sense that you think, act, and look different than you used to. There is no little reneweddaybyday running around inside of reneweddaybyday as if a new little baby got brought home from the hospital the day you got born again for you to google at.
Yes, your body received a spirit, again, the day you were justified, just as you received a spirit the moment you breathed your first on the day of your natural birth. But this time around you received the Holy Spirit. That Spirit birthed a different you, not an additional you.
Just because the word of God by which we are born again is incorruptible doesn't mean it can not be uprooted from the soil of one's heart. It was planted and growing in soil #2 in the Parable of the Sower, yet it got uprooted when trouble and trial came around. So we now 'incorruptible' doesn't mean the word can't be uprooted and cast away in unbelief from the person who receives it.
Right, the Holy Spirit leaves when the person no longer cares about or wants the efficacy of the blood by which he was sanctified, thereby leaving him unprotected for the Day of Judgment (Hebrews 10:26-29). The sin that accompanies such a decision to abandon the protection of Christ's forgiveness is just the result of that decision.

And yet you disagree with him that the person who falls away was never saved to begin with. You claim that the person who no longer believes is still saved. You are in very obvious and contradictory standing with traditional Calvinistic reformed theology regarding 'once saved always saved'.
"Believing" is an action word..believer is a title..ike i said before..different
Jewel I saw your post about Elijah and the priests of Baal, but I don't remember the page it's on. Am going to check it out to see if I can see what Holy Spirit is saying to you. Thanks for the challenge.I love doing this kind of thing.
I was in a small group many years ago and we had unity. When one of us was absent from a meeting, the Lord would give the message to the absentee at home. No one ever was behind in that way.

... a different you in your spirit, but you (we) still carry around souls that need upgrading ('by the renewing of your mind' and all that [and which we need DELIVERANCE from]), and a physical body that will eventually be "clothed upon" (with that "oikētērion which is from Heaven) at the time of our Rapture (the 2Cor5:2-4 context).

Yes, your mind, and your body are in addition to the innermost 'you' that has been transformed by the indwelling Holy Spirit. That is my understanding.

The point in contention being the thinking that you are still somehow a believer even if you stop believing. In Free Grace theology we somehow still get to be a believer even though we have stopped believing. That's the confusion that gets created when 'believer' is no longer someone who believes but rather someone who is saved, as if were possible to still be saved even though you don't actually believe in Christ anymore.

Heres a little story...at 20 i got married..to a christian man..had 2 babies n in the 3 yrs that we were married he had 4 afairs..he actually left the state with another woman..leaving me with 2 babies..i thought God..if this is what a christian marriage is supposed to be about..i want no part of it (my ex an i r saved..went to church..knew the bible etc) i "walked away" from the Lord for 4 yrs..didnt care..did my own thing..but aftet awhile there was an uneasiness and conviction in my spirit. (God was persuing me to come back)..and i did..i repented..fell to my knees and submitted my life to Him again...did i LOSE my salvation in those 4 yrs because i "didnt belive"? No..God was patient and is with a lot of people..it took me 4 yrs to come back..some it takes longer..others never or its too late when they die..im glad God didnt give up on me and "withdraw" His grace and salvation when i did my own thing....

@Ralph- @justpassinthrough @preston39 ...you think people are just arguementative with you and continue to bicker to prove a point..but for some of us..including ME..its PERSONAL its our LIVES or something weve lived through that has brought us to our personal beliefs and convictions so when we share and you say its blatently WRONG..that can cut because of it being personal..our walk with God are all different and personal in different ways..we gotta remember that when in heatec debates
