You apparently do not know that 'may be' is not even in the text:

That makes it even more emphatic than our English rendering.
This sinning fellow HAS to be turned over to the destruction of his fleshly desires to be saved in the Day of Christ. But your ridiculous
'once saved always saved, no matter what' doctrine says he is already saved and his living in sin does not matter. If that were true that would make dying to the flesh unnecessary. But Paul says to turn him over to it for him to be saved in the Day of Christ.
That's right, his spirit, that makes it all the more clear that this is about his salvation. Paul says he is to be turned over to the destruction of the desires of his flesh to be saved when Jesus comes back. But you say Paul is wrong and that isn't necessary to be saved when Jesus comes back because he is already saved and can't lose his salvation.
I'm telling people to continue to believe in Jesus so they will be saved when Jesus comes back. You are telling people they can stop believing in him and they will still be saved when Jesus comes back. And I'm the one doing the wrong thing????? Good Lord, talk about calling white black, and black white.
One of us is going to be paying the price for causing people who believe in Jesus to stumble and go to the eternal fire (Matthew 18:6-9) and it ain't me. I'm telling them to
keep believing in Jesus. You're telling them they can
stop believing in him. Wouldn't want to be you. You've got a load of payback waiting for you. Repent while you still have a chance.
