Please read what the scripture plainly says, that you just wrote -

  • so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

"We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21God made him who had no sin to be sin for us,
so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

We have been given all things that pertain to life and GODLINESS.

The New nature is a gift, given to those who obey the Gospel.

Now we have the been given everything we need to godly lives, and to inherit the kingdom of God.

Look at what we are to be doing, with what we have been given, in order that we MIGHT BECOME, the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

  • as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 2 Peter 1:2-9

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence - we are to be diligent to add these following things to our faith.

  • IOW there is a process to us becoming the righteousness of God in Christ, so that we live according to the Spirit, and practice righteousness, and not practice the works of the flesh,

add to your faith virtue,
to virtue knowledge,
to knowledge self-control,
to self-control perseverance,
to perseverance godliness,
to godliness brotherly kindness,
and to brotherly kindness love.

8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Please don't reject what is being said here.

Please discuss these things with honesty.

Not sure what warnings your talking about.

If we think we can lose salvation, Satan has a stronghold and a door he can attack, and pry open, especially if we for whatever reason start to struggle, And that is a dangerous place for a child of God to be.

We have to rely and strongly hold on to the hope of eternal life, which God, who can not lie promised before time began. Only through grace can we find victory over sin and victory over the evil one.

now, there are impostors among us who need to be warned to make sure that have true saving faith, but for thse who are true children of God, we are not given a spirit of fear, but of sound mind, I can not have a sound mine if I must worry about some day falling from grace.
I was thinking pf the scripture that says, only those who remain faithful to the end will be saved. We have so many examples in the world of people who look to be genuine believers and their life looks impeccable, then we suddenly hear they are committing adultery.

I would say that we do have power over sin.
Any child of God having the Holy Spirit in him can and will walk according to spirit.

Will we be sinless before we die?
I would say no we will not be.
Some people do take longer than others to overcome but if we hunger after God he will provide when the time is right.

I would say though that we should never be sin focused as this takes the focus of Jesus.

We should focus on Jesus and as we do he increases and we, are flesh decreases.

When we look at the Lords prayer we see the part about sin comes down the line.
The first part focuses on God.
I disagree with you, I don't know of any Bible passages that teach us that we have power over sin. The Bible teaches that Jesus defeated sin on our behalf and we need to believe in His victory over the power of sin.
So we live our lives repenting every time we sin, so we are at constant war with our selves. We won't get the full victory over sin until we die and receive our glorified sinless bodies.

DID JESUS STOP WORKING AFTER HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS (CHRIST’S FINISHED
WORK ON THE CROSS)?
WHAT WORK WAS FINISHED ON THE CROSS?
DID CHRIST FINISH HIS WORKS OF SALVATION BY DYING ON THE CROSS?

John 5:17 Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am
working.”
...the reason the son of man appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. (1 john 3:8)

John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He
will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

Luke 24:44-49 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything
must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”
Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance
and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in
the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

IS SALVATION “VOID OF WORKS” OR “ NOT BY WORKS (OF OURSELVES)?

ARE SERVANTS CONSIDERED WORKERS?

ARE PREACHERS,TEACHERS, EVANGELISTS, PASTORS, MINISTERS,
ADMINISTRATORS ETC. CONSIDERED SERVANTS AND WORKERS OF GOD?

WHAT IF THEY ONLY HAVE FAITH VOID OF WORKS, THEN LOOK DOWN ON THE OTHER
PARTS OF THE BODY IN HYPOCRISY AS IF THEY'RE THE ONLY LEGITIMATE PART OF IT? WILL THAT FAITH SAVE THEM?( 1 corinthians chapter 12)

WE ARE GOD’S FELLOW WORKERS(1 cor 3:9)
SENT OUT TO HARVEST WHAT WE HAVE NOT WORKED FOR...THE CROP FOR
ETERNAL LIFE.

Luke 10:2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.

John 4:34-38 “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. EVEN NOW the reaper draws his wages, EVEN NOW HE
HARVESTS THE CROP FOR ETERNAL LIFE, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad TOGETHER. Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ I SENT YOU TO REAP WHAT YOU HAVE NOT WORKED FOR. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.”

ARE THERE WORKS NEEDED TO BE DONE FOR SALVATION?

WE ARE TO SERVE IN THE WORKS OF THE GOSPEL WHICH IS THE GOSPEL OF OUR SALVATION.

1 Thessalonians 3:2,5 We sent Timothy, who is our brother and GOD’S FELLOW WORKER in SPREADING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, For this reason, when I could stand it no longer, I sent to find out about your faith. I was afraid that in some way the tempter might have tempted you and our efforts might have been USELESS.

Philippians 2:22 But you know that Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his father he has SERVED WITH ME in the WORK OF THE GOSPEL.

Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,

John 7:18 HE WHO SPEAKS ON HIS OWN does so to gain honor for himself, but HE WHO WORKS FOR THE HONOR OF THE ONE WHO SENT HIM IS A MAN OF TRUTH; there is
nothing false about him.

John 9:4-5 As long as it is day, “WE” MUST DO THE WORK OF HIM WHO SENT ME. Night is
coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in
vain.

BUT WE ARE NOT WORKING FOR OUR OWN SALVATION BUT FOR THE CHURCH WHICH
IS THE BODY OF CHRIST OF WHOM HE IS THE SAVIOR (eph 5:23), WHERE HE PUTS THOSE THAT ARE BEING SAVED AND ARE MADE PARTS OF HIS BODY FOR WORKS OF SERVICE.

Ephesians 4:11-13 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be
evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, TO PREPARE GOD’S PEOPLE FOR
WORKS OF SERVICE, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the
faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole
measure of the fullness of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:28 And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets,
third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help
others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.

Romans 12:4-8 Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do
not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member
belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift
is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is
teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy,
let him do it cheerfully.

1 Corinthians 11:3 Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head
of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

THE TRUE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS IS SELFLESS LOVE.

GOD GAVE US HIS ONLY SON.
JESUS GAVE HIS LIFE FOR US.
WE OUGHT TO LAY DOWN OUR LIVES FOR OUR BROTHERS.

1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we
ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Philippians 2:4 Each of you should look not only to your OWN INTERESTS, but also to the
interests of OTHERS.

Philippians 2:21 For everyone looks out for HIS OWN INTERESTS, not those of Jesus Christ.

Colossians 3:12-17 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe
yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord
forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect
unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called
to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish
one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude
in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of
the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Galatians 6:2,10 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Matthew 16:24-28 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, HE MUST
DENY HIMSELFand take up his cross and follow me. For WHOEVER WANTS TO SAVE HIS
LIFE WILL LOSE IT, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if
he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his
soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will
reward each person according to what he has done. I tell you the truth, some who are standing
here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

2 Timothy 2:14-19 A Workman Approved by God Keep reminding them of these things. Warn
them before God against QUARRELING ABOUT WORDS; it is of no value, and ONLY RUINS
THOSE WHO LISTEN. Do your best to present yourself to God as one APPROVED, a
WORKMAN who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
Avoid godless chatter, because THOSE WHO INDULGE IN IT WILL BECOME MORE AND
MORE UNGODLY. Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and
Philetus, who have WANDERED AWAY FROM THE TRUTH. They say that the resurrection has
already taken place, and THEY DESTROY THE FAITH OF SOME. Nevertheless, God’s solid
foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and,
“Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord MUST TURN AWAY FROM WICKEDNESS.”

"We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21God made him who had no sin to be sin for us,

The whole purpose of Christ's shedding His blood on the cross is this; that He became sin on our behalf and that we become the righteousness of Him.

To deny this is to pervert the words of the bible. Not one commentary ever singles out the word, "might" and disputes the imputation of Christ's righteousness. For you to suggest any other interpretation of this phrase other than, we receive Gods righteousness is a lie.

Your fake gospel is the worst I have ever scene in my life time, repent and believe the Gospel and be saved.

We will all continue to sin until the day we die, Scripture is crystal clear about that. That doesn't mean we surrender to it and go with it, we fight it every moment. We still live in a corrupt body of death, so our spirit is at war with our body. We need the Holy Spirit to help us so we aren't consumed by sin, but we war against it until we die.

2 John 1:4-11 It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. And THIS IS LOVE, THAT WE WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDS. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. ANYONE WHO "RUNS AHEAD" AND DOES NOT CONTINUE IN THE TEACHING OF CHRIST DOES NOT HAVE GOD; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and TEACHING THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Philippians 3:12-16 NOT THAT I HAVE ALREADY OBTAINED ALL OF THESE , or have already been made perfect, BUT I PRESS ON to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I DO NOT CONSIDER MYSELF YET TO HAVE TAKEN HOLD OF IT . But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and STRAINING TOWARD WHAT IS AHEAD , I press on TOWARD THE GOALl to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

1 Peter 1:9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

I'm not talking about the word - I'm saying there is no condemnation in Christ, "condemnation/damnation/not the point"

You left out part of the verse.

  • no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1

Philippians 3:9 - And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Seems you left out the context.

  • these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

  • that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Walk in some of that and you can also say with Paul -

  • not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ,

7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

The highlighted part was not included in the original texts, but let's just say it was. Later on in Romans, Paul states very clearly what is needed to remain in Christ.

Romans 8:8-9
9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit,
if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness

Or another way to put it would be...we begin to abide (trust and count on Him) in Him more and more and so we begin to abide in Him for longer and longer periods of time and don't stumble in mistrust /unbelief as often. Because if/when we abide(trust) in Him we do not sin. Whatever is of unbelief is sin.

The goal is not to try hard to not sin. The goal is to keep abiding and He sees to it.

So what would make that person you spoke of any worse than me? or you or any other christian who sins? And don;t forget abraham and David, both adulterers, and both mighty men of God.

not trying to downgrade the sin, the sin is serious, and will cause serious trouble, including the chastening of God. But sin is sin, we shoudl be careful of trying to focus on certain sins, while refusing to acknowledge our own sins, which in Gods eyes, are just as damning.

not sure why people respond to this person any more. But since this is new, I will respond

the term "who do not walk after the flesh" is not a requirement, or a condition required to be met, or a rule which must be followed in order to earn the wage of not being under condemnation.

it is a defenition, and explanation, a picture of those who by Gods grace are no longer under condemnation. ie, They walk no longer according to the flesh, because they have been saved from condemnation, and they have been shown Gods love, we walk according to the spirit (love) because God loved us first.

Yes, there is a verse saying those who remain faithful to the end will be saved.
Be careful that you do not paint yourself into a corner, because God saves men through faith.

Don't assume that to trust Him to the end means a man never sins or stumbles.
Being faithful means continuing to trust (abiding in that trust).

Our obedience is not by laws. Our obedience is the obedience of trust.

  • The only thing that makes us righteous and keeps us righteous is obedience.
  • The only way we love God and Love our neighbor is by obedience.
  • The only way we are justified is by obedience.
  • The only way faith functions is by obedience.

Disobedience = Unrighteousness
Disobedience = Hate
Disobedience = Lawlessness
Disobedience = Dead Faith

If you don't understand any or all of these things, then please ask me for the scriptures, that pertain to these statements and we will discuss them.

The Life of Jesus within us, desires to express obedience, and lead us in the way of righteousness and love.

The sin within our flesh desires to express itself through unrighteousness.

Our choice is be a slave to sin by obeying the sin in our flesh, or be a slave to righteousness, by obeying the Spirit of Christ within us.

  • Only Christians who have obeyed the Gospel, have this choice, in which they have a new nature that is compatible with righteousness and holiness, able to contain the Holy Spirit and be led by the Spirit, having dominion over sin that dwells in our physical body.

Everyone else is a slave to sin.

Your Lord, your master, is the one you obey:

  • “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Luke 6:46

16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.
Romans 6:16-19

Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey,

  • whether of sin leading to death,
  • or of obedience leading to righteousness?

I think that verse actually says, "he who endures tot he end shall be saved".
I was trying to explain the difference between genuine Christians and false professors. I know David committed adultery before he was saved, then he was very remorseful and he never committed any more serious sins. I'm not sure about when Abraham committed his, before or after but I'm almost certain that it was before.
I don't believe that a true Christian who has the Holy Spirit indwelling them is capable of committing adultery or any other serious sin.
