Well said, there is no universal church, it is pure fiction, no truth in this at all,
as you have clearly stated.
At one time there was 1 Christian church. The headquarters of that church was in Jerusalem. The foundation of that church was apostles and prophets and Jesus was the chief cornerstone. (Ephesians 2:20)

Off thread so no more.

On judgement day, I will say that I was born of the water = water baptized, just like Jesus and I was born of the spirit = baptized of the spirit, just like Jesus. Where is the baspheming? Accept I am blaspheming your theology, but certainly not the HS. Don't throw around blaspheming lightly. At least 1/2 of Christianity is according to you blaspheming the HS. I don't think so.

And jesus will say depart, because you replaced 5e baptism of god with the baptism of man.

Good luck trying to earn your dalvation then deny it, you will be in the same line as he jews who tried to add the work of circumcision

Whatever you believe. Just what happened to Jesus when he decided to be baptized. First he was born again = water baptized by full immersion, by another human man. Then when he came up out of the water, he was born again of the Spirit = baptized of the Spirit. The HS came from above and settled upon him.

This is the same order that Peter taught in Acts 2. Remember: Repent, and be baptized for the remission of sins, and then receive the gift of the HS.

Do you see how the bible confirms that water baptism by full immersion is what Jesus meant when he said you must be born of the water. It all fits nicely.
jesus was not born again, wow, i mean really,?

to be born again jesus would first have to be dead, he was never dead (in sin)

he was baptised for the same reason areon and his sons were baptized by moses in the jordan river, to reveal to Isreal they were set apart by God to be priests of God, in Jesus case, our one nigh priest and redeemer, as he sacrificed himself.

you need to study more my friend

Will you be doing these good works:
1 Peter 4:7-9 King James Version (KJV)
7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
It will be revealed what works i did, when. My works are tried by fire, if my worked endured i will recieve good silver or precious stone

if it does not, it will be burnt as wood hey or stubble, but even then i will still be saved even as through,

your works will be considere bloddy rags, because your doing them to save yourself,

me, i am doing them to serve god. Because I AM SAVE

No you can't.

You can lie to yourself about it, but you can't lie to God.

Agape love that forgives and cleanse and empowers you to acts of compassion and mercy that you would never do on your own...that is just one of the things the Holy spirit does when He enters and lives in a born again believers life.

I am beginning to wonder if you have even a hint of what I am talking about.

If you have ever experienced it, you would know you could never fake it.
Do you think that there are Christians walking around today that believe they are saved, but really have not had the baptism of the HS?

Do you think there are a lot of Christians who are lying to themselves about their experience with the HS, and think they are saved?

I have experienced the baptism of the HS and I know what you are talking about, but I meet lots of Christians that declare that they are saved, but seem to have little love in their hearts and are not necessarily good people. So it makes me wonder where they are coming from.

We are one body and United in One Spirit.

The Church encompasses not only those who are in Heaven but also all joined by the Holy spirit on Earth.

It's a spiritual nature and the Church are the Remnant that carry out God's will now...many body parts but all joined to the Head who is Christ Jesus.

You may view each church as a body, like each person's body is Called a Temple to God.

However I see each person as a single cell and each church as an tissue and each denomination an organ.
.God has a purpose and function for all who call upon His name.

Some become cancerous and have to be cut out. Some get viruses and must be burnt out.
We are not one body today. We are certainly not United in One Spirit. You can feel it on this forum. How do we solve the problem, when there are many different paths taught by the different churches to how one is saved?

No, You do not interpret it the way I do

Peter told EVERYONE to repent, and they will receive the HS

He told those who received remission of sin to be baptized in the name of Jesus.

You need to look at how it was written, 3rd person, 2nd person, plural and singular. they all have meanings.
Wow, what a pure twisting motion.

My dead sister in law could not get baptized because she had a neurological disease that cause her to have to have a shunt in her head to drain the pressure off her brain,

According to you, She is in hell and must be a fake believer.

According to God she is in heaven, Because she had great faith and GOD baptized her, like he did the rest of us.

Maybe God did not baptize you, and thats why you can not seem to understand??
This is the first time I have heard of your sister and her particular circumstances. So you cannot tell my what I think is going to happen to her.

Only God can judge your sister, not me or any other man.

Your first error is in bolded....the second...two cannot walk together unless agreed....you teach a vanilla twist gospel that is not truthful and or correct man....to even imply that Jesus was not born a son of God until immersion is as false and blasphemous as it comes.....

Benhur, to think water baptism is required for salvation is not scriptural. the mikvah did little to help the Jews, what do you think water will help you.

baptism is of the heart, then the obedience is a outward showing of what God has already accomplished in you.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? I tend to USE the simplified English Translations, for those who have a track record of NOT LISTENING. Disciples DOES NOT MEAN that a SAVED PERSON can fall away. It only means a Willing Follower of a Specific Teacher.

NOW BORN AGAIN, MEANS THE HOLY SPIRIT CAME INTO THE HEART and BIRTHED THEIR DEAD HUMAN SPIRIT INTO ETERNAL LIFE, and THAT IS TRUE SALVATION, and IT WILL NEVER FALL AWAY. You seem to think a true Christian is MUCH LESS than I do.
You made a big deal of: go and find disciples (who are saved) and then baptize them. And you made the point that a disciple is saved before they are baptized. Matthew 28:19-20.

Then you quoted the 'followers' of Jesus who turned away from Jesus because of his 'bread of life' sermon. Most translation use the word 'disciples', that turned from Jesus because of his 'bread of life' sermon. (John 6:66)

My point was you use 'disciple' to make your point in Matthew 28, but do not use 'disciple' in John 6, and the reason is that those disciples left Jesus and did not believe in him any longer. Were they saved too like the disciples in Matthew 28? I don't think so.

IOW translations matter, you have just proved the point. You have just proved that you can prove anything with any 1 of many translation of the bible, depending on the translation you choose.

The Church is not One Body, in your mind

Yes the Christian Church is One, "One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism." Eph.4:5. God will unite the true Church the Body of Christ and we will all meet together at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

2Peter2:9

"The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment."

You are so wrong, The Ecumenical Movement is wide spread and doing well. When I said, "can't we all get along" of course we cannot all get along, it was a joke, and it has nothing to do with The World Wide Ecumenical Movement
"You are wrong". Nice opening line and wonderful social skills when dealing with another Christian that doesn't believe 100% of what you believe.

What do think that love and goodness imply? Love and goodness imply lots of good works that lightens the burden of the down trodden, and the naked, and the hungry, and the lonely, and the prisoner. Lots of good works that glorifies your Father in Heaven and Christianizes the world.
Love and goodness is a state of being. A characteristic of a person who has walked with God, His Holy Spirit,

Do you know the difference between Martha and Mary?

Do you k ow the difference between focusing on good works and focusing on God?

For example, when my husband comes home from a long business trip he just wants me to sit down and spend time with him.....not rush around trying to "do" things for him but just be with him.

Maybe your love language is acts of love where you show your love for others by acts of service for them,

However you should recognize there is more than one way to show love.

Perhaps if you don't know them you should learn them?

God shows His love in so many ways. Its part of growing up and being mature in Christ to learn those ways and share them with others also.

You can't give what You never have taken the time to receive.

How do you feel and see God's love for you in your life?

There is only one path....being lead by the Holy spirit.

How the Holy spirit leads people are unique to the task God has for their lives. Just as the hands tasks is not the same as the mouth...one person's tasks is not the same in the Body of Christ.

Those who have the Holy spirit are united as One. God tells us that just because someone is different fronts,we can't declare them as not part of the Body of Christ. Only the Holy spirit presence in their lives tells them and is if they are members or not.

Those who think the baptism of the Holy Spirit can be faked, would not understand this concept, because they don't have that direct connection.

Some believers who are young and immature need help learning to pray and discern the Spirit in their life...sometimes people have false beliefs they need to tear down that blocks open communication, but God is powerful to save. All of God's children can through prayer approach His heavenly throne, enter the gates of the Holy heavenly city and speak with our Father. Even if many don't remember it upon waking in the morning, the sense of peace and love is still present in their hearts.
