I wish I could be numb sometimes, but I feel too much. Ignorance is bliss, about being a sucker. I am hip to what’s going on, and not being a sucker is no fun, I can tell you.
 
Morning moment has gold in mouth, we say here. It sounds better in Norwegian: Morgenstund har gull i munn.

Anyway. I am excited for a new week. Who says they hate Mondays? This is the week and this is the day when it all might happen. Suddenly the prince of my dreams comes knocking at my door, my dream job is offered to me, I have a bankaccount flooding over with money and I might get healed and lose half my body fat. You never know.
 
Monday is the day I scrub the oven at work. I'm not too big on Mondays.

On the other hand I had a great Sunday and I have plenty of dark chocolate to act as a backup battery if I tire, so I'm ready. Bring it on oven. With grill cleaner and a scouring pad I can take anything you can dish out... er, bake on.

I just hope the manager doesn't listen to me. I always give the manager a courtesy reminder that today is Monday and I will be shutting the oven down at a certain time. About two fifths of the time the manager doesn't listen, with the result that I say "I'm shutting the oven down" and the manager says, "Oh wait, we need this and this and that cooked first!" Which means I get paid to stand around and do nothing for a while. I like getting paid to stand around and do nothing, but NOT reminding the manager about the oven would go against my work ethic, so I really hope the manager doesn't listen. :cool:
 
Sometimes an ignorant boss is a blessing. My boss ignores my "other activities" in the office, as long as I am there and teach what I should teach and do my reports in time.
 
Yes, it is a blessing. I hope the absent-minded boss blesses me with more time on the paycheck today. :D

Sleep and coffee do wonders....

Thats why I have both, oh and drinks that give you natural energy.... like vitamins and stuff to help you keep going...

Or you know.... just coffee in general. :confused:
 
4 hour wait in the ER and I've yet to even see a doctor. And here alone and no one to talk to so all i have done the past hour is fight off anxiety in a dimly lit room.

I am sorry to hear that. I hope you got the help needed, and that you are feeling better.
 
Well, I guess the doc read my post. I went for xray and scans minutes later. When I got back I was mobbed by 5 nurses all at once. And not in the good way. The one that did the IV was very pregnant. She must've had a labor pain while putting the IV in. That would explain the intense pain I had. While 4 other nurses srood there and watched.
Oh. And the three tries for the blood gas, with some digging around for good measure. Nurse Ratchet doing the heart tests. And the second blood gas girl walked in acting like she was going to do a Betty Boop impression just for me.
I did some close to getting injured when I made the blood gas girl laugh right before poking me. I stopped talking after that rkll she was done. =X
Last time I had the attention of that many women at once I was 20 haha.
 
Ouch. I hate when they are digging around to find the right spot to take the blood sample.

Betty Boop or not, I hope you will get home and feel better soon.
