If you are trying to discredit my character you will not be successful, but go a head an try if it makes you happy. Also I am done having a one way conversation with you, thank you and God bless!
I do not go around trying to discredit another good Christians character. I think of you as a good man, I have told you that before, so I apologize if my advice was not well written.
TT,

I do have to say that I do not think benhur wants to discredit anyone, even if he disagrees with anyone.

To be honest he wants to talk and discuss.
Like we all do.

And here it is. The signature of the evil one.
Dcon first called Yeshua cursed, and now shows he sides with the evil one that calls God a Liar.

Just as all the readers here once witnessed a poster here use the account of iyov to call God a liar.

Now,
All readers can see for themselves what spirit dcon is speaking from.
The last speaker in the account of iyov dcon is speaking about was the filthiest liar in the account.

Readers be warned, these are luciferian tactics.
This is completely unacceptable. Do you understand what you have said here about this member and why it is unacceptable behavior in here?

Was the theif on the cross water baptized by John the Baptist before he was put on the cross?
My view......

a. He was being put to death for thievery and murder <---no murderer hath eternal life dwelling in him
b. He seemingly railed on Jesus at first based upon one testimony
c. There is no evidence he was immersed by John and or had ever given proof of repentance
d. He acknowledges his guilt and deserved punishment
e. He acknowledge the innocence of Jesus
f. He acknowledges JESUS as LORD and seeks to be remembered in the Kingdom of JESUS

The above proves the following....

a. He had to believe in the resurrection of Christ based upon "f"
b. He acknowledges Jesus as LORD AFTER he rails on him at first
c. As a murderer he did not have eternal life dwelling in him when he was crucified
d. His public profession of faith is in calling JESUS LORD in front of ALL

Are you saying one must work to remain saved?
I didn't say anything ... I only posted God's words ...

James 2:14-17 [SUP]14[/SUP]What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? [SUP]15[/SUP]Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. [SUP]16[/SUP]If one of you says to them, "Go in peace; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? [SUP]17[/SUP]In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

That's a cop out.
If you quote scripture then you need to interpret it and give your thoughts.

First you list "your view"

Then you say this "proves this"

I believe your view is correct, however I did want to let you know that it is not your "view" that proves anything ... It is the word of our ALMIGHTY GOD that proves things ...

The bible teaches the following about works and faith (summation)

Romans--->A man is justified before God by faith without works
James-->the above faith that justifies before God without works is seen by MEN by our works

End of story....works do not save, keep saved, embellish salvation.....

Obviously......and if you knew me or anything about me you would know that I fully believe that the only thing that matters is the word of GOD.....having said that a-f is biblical based upon the WORD

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:20-21

What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "You shall not covet." Romans 7:7
What do you think the scripture means when it says: "even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life.

Does that mean we have to be righteous in order for grace to reign?

You are a doubting Thomas, and I think everyone is done explaining to you about the proper method of baptizing, also described as a ship sinking. If you were there during the baptism of Jesus, even standing next to Him, would you believe then what the proper method is? Doubtful. Go forth and re-read your bible and ask God to open your eyes. Makes me wonder if you were ever baptized.

Baptism of Jesus: Matthew3:16
"As soon as Jesus was baptized, "he went up out of the water." At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him."
Everyone is not done explaining the proper method of baptism. It is an important discussion to have and one that is not finished in a few posts. So stay with us.

Concerning the bolded....that is what the bible teaches.......

Concerning those who labor n the word 1st Corinthians 3<---some have works of wood, hay and stubble, some have works of gold, silver and precious stones....both are saved, both have works tried, one is left with purified gold, silver and precious stones after the dross is burnt off, the other left naked and shamed, yet still saved "yet so as by fire"

Crowns to be won by service, martyrdom, service out of love etc.

Those faithful over a few things made ruler over many

The word MISTHOS (REWARD) is pay or wages for service rendered

The parable of the talents

etc......God is faithful, our salvation is secure and eternal in Christ. After salvation we are rewarded for service....in God's kingdom as in any kingdom there will be the ruled and those who rule (some are given rule over cities-->And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.) There will be those with crowns, those without, some wealthy, some lacking, etc.....through and through we see this principle seen....even with JESUS we see this truth...HE was 100% faithful and as God's SON gets IT ALL and we even see there is a place PREPARED for someone to SIT at the right hand and left hand of CHRIST on his throne.....

That is the point of many verses that are erroneously applied unto salvation....it is not about the loss of salvation after one has been given salvation, but rather our eternal reward and inheritance in the kingdom....By faithful service we are rewarded greatly, and those who are not faithful or who serve less their eternal reward in God's kingdom will be less, but their BIRTH by faith is eternally secure....

Since you did not mention it, I will come to a conclusion that for you, the words of Christ are not applicable to our salvation, but only to our position in heaven.

This is true and this is what the bible teaches.....either a grand entrance into the kingdom or a not so grand entrance into the kingdom....with every gambit in between all based upon our level of faithfulness and service after we have been saved.
This sounds a lot like how the Mormons believe. All believers go to heaven, but which heaven they go to depends on their faithfulness. The higest kingdom is compared to the glory of the sun, obviously the most faithful Christians. The middle kingdom is compared to the glory of the moon, those who are fairly good Christians. And the lower kingdom is for those who were not valient for Christ. Very poor Christians. And it's glory is compared to the glory of the stars.

Not hardly....and is no where near what Mormons believe....you have no interest in the truth as evidenced by your continual rejection of biblical truths.....

Hi decon, my conversation with benher has always been one sided, as if all that mattered was her opinion. And as soon as one question goes un-answered another one pops up and over and over again. The best example I can give you is she continues to ask questions non-stop just like Franc use to do remember. And I have always had a feeling that I was being baited by her line of questioning, like she knew the answer's already, ya know.

Ask dcon and your group that question.
1 Peter 3:15-22 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. It is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, through whom also he went and preached to the spirits in prison who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

Yeah I know...there are about 5 or so on here that have no interest in the truth.....we can give a plethora of truthful answers and scriptures to support our positions and they will come back with some crap like found in the post above about Mormonism....We can quote direct scriptures and they accuse us of calling JESUS cursed or God a liar....I am just going to quit responding to people who continually trample the word of God underfoot all while claiming to be spiritual, righteous and all that and a bag of religious chips....!
