And we rejoice even more when our sweet purpley one is around – how are you darling? J
I have many complaints but nothing to complain about :D LOL

On other fronts, I am preparing some of the images I made
to display as part of an art collective my church has rented
gallery space for following this Friday's special service :)

How are you this fine day that the Lord has made?

Here I have altered that image a bit :D

Which do you prefer?

Yes lol, no point in complaining, for I’ve heard it said that “When we complain, we remain.” To that I say NO THANKYOU haha :D Now for your pics - well they’re both so purpley and beautiful too – but since you asked me – I’m going with the first one because it reminds me of where a dear friend of mine lives. You might know her – she’s very purpley! J

Oh! I think I do know her

You know, aside from the fact that the cityscape against the backdrop of the mountains does remind me of where I live, that image represents our removal from the world, shown in the distance the person/people has/have from the city, which is in the distance behind them :)

Someone once told me that my images were too busy or cluttered or something... of course I am well aware of all the elements I add to any given image :D Though of course I am also aware that sometimes, as they say, less is more. Not all my images are so busy, and I do like simple things, even if I have a tendency to complicate things :D Any ways, I just simplified it a bit :)

One thing I hate, I know this is not the self pity thread, is that I am needing help to do very basic things, like going to bed. So today I have to go to bed at 9 pm. It is not fun. But I have time in quite to pray and seek the Lord. And I am blessed I don't need attendance 24/7 yet. So I have to enjoy the privacy and independence I have.

Glorified bodies? Yes please! Come soon, Lord Jesus.

Well you come praise with us – it’s sure to make you feel better – He dwells in our high praises and He listens to what we say! :D

Malachi 3:16-17 “Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name. “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”

I also made it more purple. A funny thing with working digitally is that something may look very purple on one monitor, but then seem a completely different shade or hue on another monitor/medium. When I went to print some of my images, they were looking so PINK :eek::eek: So I had to make some adjustments to compensate for that to prepare the images I will be showing. I am just going to put them in a book for people to look through, if they want. One will be a small 4x6 inch sized book that can hold 24 images, and the other an 11x14 inch scrap book, with mostly 8x12s in it. I have put a few of my poems into my collection, also

I like the combination of both elements, the cityscape and the uncluttered view – it represents to me the diversity of the plan God has for you! J

That is very kind of you to say

I have worked in the photo industry for the last 42 years. I actually started my first job on my twenty first birthday, after having applied there many times and being turned away because I had no experience before they finally hired me, which is a fact I did point out to them (that I would never get any experience if nobody hired me for lack of experience :)) :D During the time I was applying for that job, a few people had been hired and they had all left shortly after being hired, because they did not like it

I worked at the first lab for about a year and a half, at which time I crossed the country to make the west coast my home. I have had two jobs since being here, my current one miraculously lasting 36 years. A lot of changes have happened in that time, both personally, and professionally. The biggest change in my personal life was my conversion, becoming a Christian in 2004. The biggest change professionally was the transition to digital.

Digital has many advantages, including the ability to majorly play with the images more than you really could before. I like playing with images  How much talent I have may be questionable, but the drive to create, not so much :) I love losing myself in the creative process :D I am also grateful that others appreciate the things I have created with what God has given me. I like sharing what I have learned :D

Well you can certainly see the Lord’s handiwork in that! I love it that you informed them that to gain experience one has to get the job first hardihahar – no wonder you go the job sweetie hahahaha! :D I used to write my posts in purple some years back on a different forum to here – we’re talking 7 or 8 years ago and I believe it was the Lord’s request for me to do so because the colour purple was to them, an invitation into the Heavenlies… J

People say all kinds of things about the color purple

I did not wait until I was old to wear it :D

Now that I am old, my wardrobe has built up over the years
to be almost exclusively in the realm of purple  I only say
I am old because that is how other people see me ;):p

However, realistically, I am aware that every day is a gift, and
I have had more than some people are gifted with in that regard.
The fact that I survived the stupidity of my youth is also a miracle :)

Do you work, HUFL? I don't mean to pry  Please excuse my curiosity :D

Magenta, I noticed the cityscape background image has fuzzy edges around the text and images. Maybe it is the way my browser is displaying them.

I just got through reading walls of text when some OP started questioning the deity of Christ. They made the mistake of posting links to JW and Muslim sites. I wanted to say a couple of things, but I couldn't critique all the text. My eyes got tired. Maybe I'll take a stab at it later or tomorrow.

Hello Deade :) It could be a number of things, actually, including your power cord  One of my daughter's cats bit into my laptop's power cord a little while ago. I did patch it up with electrical tape, and then my daughter bought me a new one which was supposed to be specifically for the laptop I had at the time (I have since gotten a new laptop due to ongoing unsolvable problems with wifi). I suddenly had many problems, including pages jumping around in magnification size, the scroll bar not responding properly, my mouse touch pad/cursor not responding properly, not being able to save images during the process of creation, and the one that really did it for me was my monitor started to look blurry  I plugged the old bitten-into power cord back into my laptop and all those problems instantly disappeared :)

I hope it is not your eyes :)

Is that thread still there?

Is that heaven or is that NYC in the background? There's probably animals in Central Park though. It's not so bad if you think about it.
New York is part of the city scape. There may even be bits of Miami in there :D:eek::D
