It doesn't work as well in reverse though. I can usually take a nasty tongue toward me without anger and shreiking but when I see the nasty tongue directed toward another brother or sister I have a harder time with it...

I feel the same way and will not tolerate it either. Say anything you want to me, no problem. Watch what you say to those that I love otherwise big problem.

For starters notice the grey Brahma Bull in the back ground with a saddle on. Well just by judging this hostile scene it appears the gentleman in the gray suit possibly made fun of the other guys mode of transportation, a Brahma Bull, and ka-pow, the guys beautiful quarter horse goes down in the dirt. Was he an angry person or did the other jerk make him angry, ya see.

For example this cowboy has some definite anger issues.

Okay. :)
Why do you think the penalty for murder is the same penalty for anger? What are your thoughts on why?

James 4:1-3 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members?
[SUP]2 [/SUP]You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Romans 1:28-32 (HCSB)
[SUP]28 [/SUP]And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,
[SUP]30 [/SUP]slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
[SUP]31 [/SUP]undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]Although they know full well God’s just sentence—that those who practice such things deserve to die—they not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them.

Matthew 5:22 (NKJV)
[SUP]22 [/SUP]But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.

You are asking the WRONG QUESTION.

"WHY, if GOD thinks ALL SIN deserves Death and Eternity in HELL, has HE let us LIVE?"

Yes, I understand what you're saying.
You would have had to see the origin of the discussion earlier today and how it evolved and how it ties into not by works but through trust.

I would guess it was a hurt pride problem...:)

Hi Magenta! Great to see you.
Let me go a little deeper beneath the surface of my comment.

I believe people say that because they think their understanding (and acceptance) of their unworthiness makes them worthy. They falter in understanding grace. So they try to show people how unworthy they are. Because they themselves feel unworthy. This isn't to say we are worthy by our own merit, but it is to say that it leads us to understanding the goodness and purity of grace. But many will not look at the freedom found in grace because of fear they might be mislead. We however are not given a spirit. But one of love, power and a sound mind. The one who fears is not perfected in love. Look at the tone of people's posts and listen for fear or for adoration for God. This will reveal the spirit they are listening to. And this isn't just about others. I often listen to my own words to see what my heart is believing. Am I speaking from a place of fear or from assured faith in God's goodness?
Hello, Cee, thank you, and it is always nice to see you :)

We obviously are not talking about the same people ;) Then again, you do not seem to be here as much, so you may not see what some others see on a regular basis. In fact, a former member who has since been banned, said he WAS worthy, as opposed to having put on the worthiness of Christ... as if he earned his salvation by his good works, works that included his misrepresenting what people said and what they believed. He was one of those who condemned others quite often, and making allowances for his misunderstandings, trying to set the record straight with him, as it were, did no good once he set himself on a mission to malign (which is probably why he was banned, come to think of it).

Those people who say -paraphrase!- they have God working in their lives while they sit at home twiddling their thumbs and doing nothing, will waste no time in condemning others for not having good works to show for their salvation. They deem themselves worthy of judging what people do when they are not here (even though they don't know these things), and go after anyone who places their faith in Christ to keep His promise to never leave us or forsake us, and to finish the good work He began in us, while they brag about how God is working in their lives, all the while slandering and misrepresenting others. I don't know but to say that seeing such things is pretty disgusting from my point of view, and it makes me feel dirty just watching it, let alone being called upon to speak about it. It brings to mind that saying about not wrestling with a pig in the muck, because the pig likes it, but you won't.

There once was a young man that had the seed of the gospel planted early in his life.
Yet every day he spent time away from a Congregation of believers he was attacked by those who put forth a pretense of being christian.
Every day this young man was beaten down and told he would amount to nothing.
And so over time the young believer has many missgivings about our Lord and savior because of how the person who put forth the pretense of being a believer abused the

. Then the enemy creeps in to quench the Spirit, and even put obstacles in the way of the blind while cursing the deaf.

what do you mean by live? eternal life is given to the saved, and eternal death is the consequence of sin. This life isn't worth living with so much pain and suffering but we have a chance to accept the gift of eternal life, and share it with others. So this world is like a second chance, time of probation, before the judgement.

Dead Faith cannot save. Do you deny this?
NO IT IS NOT PART OF SALVATION.

YES IT IS WHAT WE DO AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED.

THAT IS TO LOVE HIM AND THE BRETHREN.

1 John 3:14-19 (NKJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
[SUP]18 [/SUP] My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
[SUP]19 [/SUP] And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

IT IS PART OF GOD"S LOVE THAT HE HAD THE HOLY SPIRIT POUR INTO OUR HEARTS. {Ref: Rom. 5:5}

NOW where did you get that from what I just posted?

You TOTALLY misunderstood what I posted.

I was talking about, HIS GRACE AND MERCY.

Funny how people think, the bible never say's this world is like a, "second chance." The truth is we have "one chance" and this world is our testing ground to prepare Christians for serving and worshiping God for an eternity.

Dead Faith cannot save. Do you deny this?
Hmmm which Faith?
there is Faith meaning Trust or faith meaning religion or faith in something or someone.
Dead faith is meaning when referring to faith in God or Jesus or those that have faith in objects or people, the heart of any faith is "truth" for example say a preacher for hire(they do exist) preaches an entire sermon about saving faith in either works or Jesus or both but he himself does not believe in what he preaches nor does he minister outside of being "in a church" this means the preacher has "dead faith" for one with "dead faith" does for one's self for profit and their words "don't carry",dead faith as James exclaimed is "wasting one's life for trivial purposes" and "trusting noone entirely" nor any one belief outside of what is before them.
To be honest both works and faith alone"Have saved",but what is exclaimed of "show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith with works" is referring to "equality" for both in past time have saved and to boast of either one is likened unto "shouting into the wind" and "expecting the wind to answer" but when "you have faith in a truth due to making up your mind regarding God/Jesus"
you must "keep to it".
If your faith is through Jesus alone then that is what you must stand by, if your faith is in works alone to serve God then you must stand by this,if your faith is through Jesus and works then you must stand by it,otherwise you are just "confounding your self and others".
Faith inevitably "must have a beginning" and it must "have certainty" for it to "Save" for if it is not established then it is just as useful as a brittle piece of armor after a rainstorm.

It's not a sin to be angry. It's only a sin if you act on it.
Not necessarily. Working out is a great way to act it out. Working out isn't a sin. Jesus acted out on His anger by flipping over the tables in the temple. Although in today's culture, a man might have the cops called on him if he did such thing.

so, when someone disagrees with you, it is because you are preaching the Gospel, and it angering our hearts.

so, I gave you the Biblical definition of grace, free grace , and you rejected it, then you claim to speak the Gospel, with grace being a centerpiece of it.

since you do not like Biblical definitions, try this one - congnitive dissidence .
Hahahhahahahahahahhahaha hilarious

Obviously anger is not sin. Or dont you know where it is written, "do not let your anger carry you off to sin. However it is also written "man's anger rarely is about the righteousness of God." Our emotions are always perfect. They are part of our spirit. They are a perfect representation of the condition of our SOUL
I like the biblical examples of righteous anger by men....

Moses breaking the stone tablets
Jesus with a whip
Paul not sparing the Corinthian assembly

Be ye angry Paul said.....and Jesus said, "Without cause"......anger is a God given emotion.........

So now we have come full circle. Since we do not believe 100% in what you believe, then we other Christians actually deny Christ. You are a true saint, and you have just condemned 65% of all other Christians (who have faith in Jesus Christ and trust in his mercy) to hell. Good going, and may the Lord be with you too.
No......what I condemn are the false, embellished, street organ player false gospels......and the number would be more like 90%...get your facts straight!
