My brother in Christ , may I just say to you , I love your simple heart , I have a simple heart that God has given me also , your words do touch me , regardless off what is going on in this thread , your love for our LORD shines...In Jesus name Amen...xox...
Thank you for your love for the Lord and for us that are rather argumentative. I try not to be, but sometimes it comes out of me. But I really believe we should be able to discuss our differences without being ugly with each other. There may be a time that we have to acknowledge our differences and part friends, but if we cannot do this we become divisive and our enemy, satan, can come in and destroy.

So thank you for a genuine salutation of Christian love and friendship, I return the sentiment, and hope I can always be worthy of it.

When God passes judgment and the gavel falls Christians are pronounce not guilty, and there is no double jeopardy. What Christians do after being place in God's family is our "sanctification", a life long pursuit of holiness and living for Jesus our savior. There is no boasting in self only in Jesus Christ.

"as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." Psalm103:12

Two cannot walk together unless agreed...Jesus said this and your gospel/root is false.....it is that simple....the bible is clear on what saves a man eternally....what you espouse and push does not equate to truth......
If my gospel is not true, Then the bible is not true. Because everything I believe comes straight from the bible. We have to agree at one level, don't you think?

Can you tell me when the gavel falls? Does it fall when you are 13 and you have confessed Jesus is your Lord. Or does it fall whenever in this life you fall to your knees and confess Jesus is your Lord. Or does it fall when you are resurrected and you are judged whether you go to heaven or hell?

I didn't think of benhur as simple or even common. He has mighty friends in the Spirit.
To be honest I'm glad he is here to help.
I'm not sure what "even common' means, because the gospel I follow comes straight of the bible. So I hope that's a good thing. What an interesting statement that I have mighty friends inn the Spirit. Thank you, and hope that we all can be in the spirit as we commune on this forum. I feel your good spirit in your post. Thank you again.

Again you mock, and call names. Not a good way to discuss the issue.

We 'workers' cannot do enough good works to become sinless perfectionists. We must believe in Jesus Christ and have faith in him and trust that he will sanctify us and finally justify our entrance into his Kingdom. We know that and you know that we know that. So why do you continue to say those mocking words?
Everything after the word trust above = a false gospel with no power to save a flea much less a man..

There is no "finally" to justification.....it is instant and past tense at the moment of faith.....

Therefore we conclude that a man is JUSTIFIED by faith (before God implied) without works.

Wake up...your working for dogma is false!

If you think this or believe this you are in deep trouble and have major issues..no what you believe does not come straight from the bible, but reather is your skewed opinion and false due to a total lack of understanding and or comprehension man....your view lacks context, applied Greek verb tense and plain honesty with the verbiage used.....

Hi Ben.

When do you think it falls?

For me I think the gavel fell when

John 19:28-30
It Is Finished
28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

If memory serves me the Greek for it is finished is an accounting term or the signing of a document.
The only thing that comes to mind is the Greek word starts with Tetel.

Basically completed.

So to me Jesus completed the transaction on the cross.
Then we ourselves have to be party to that transaction.

Which is where we

Romans 10:8-13
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

What do you think?

I would further add that if we do that then we will want fulfill what we have signed up to.

There is no end to your questions ad nauseam - "Notice to thread benhur is going on ignore."

When you are pronounced not guilty at the point of your justification - "and no more questions"

The more you lie about what I am saying, it just deludes you and anyone who wants
to listen to you.

You think that if you had a pure loving heart you would share as you do? No.
You would prize the love and grace that resides in any hearts, because this is rare,
and mainly people are over burden with hurt, pain and sin.

The problem with our hearts is always they will justify not changing and paying a
price of sacrifice for love and life, but that is what Jesus calls us to every day.

Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.
What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?"
Luke 9:23-25

I would please ask you one question. A man who asks His followers to do the above,
do you think he would then say, I do not mind how you live your life? No.
You would have to be deluded to think this man, this Lord, Messiah, God, the creator
would say or mean such a thing.
Another post with a lot of hot air ^^^^^, no substance and nothing more than opinion from a working for sinless perfectionist.....and your cited scripture has nothing to do with gaining eternal salvation/life.....context alludes you once again!
I wonder what Jesus can say for some "believers" to be capable of listening to Him.

Answering a call from Jesus, encourages us and pushes us forward in praise and
victory. How do we deny ourselves, pick up our crosses and follow after Him?

But for those whose theology is you have arrived, and such considerations do not
even enter their mind, the answer is clear. They have not arrived, and they
must not even have begun.

Yep strange for a "believer" to keep asking questions one after another like a little child who has barely begun to live.

Are we to judge that child...xox...In GODS eyes he is a child of God , we all misunderstand each other , does not mean we are no child of God , we must be very careful who we ignore , we are ALL fallen...xox...

Each to their own Rosemary, some can't stand a bunch of ponderous, pestering questions, some can, imagine a curious child asking questions all day long one after another, until time for sleep it can be "exhausting",just the same with adult "musers" some can "get through to"such individuals some can't it's really that simple.

No I fully understand, some like benhur are still at the "ego" phase, and "no it all" phase, both can last forever if one "wants" them to.

This is a total authority attempt, not with argument or facts, just a bararge of a viewpoint
but not even the contents. I have seen this in cults, "your wrong I am right". It is only used
because actually putting the points and winning fails and is obviously flawed.

Jesus calls us to follow, and failure in following loses the goal. To believe we are called to
follow admits the possibility of failure, so even following is denied, or the need to repent
of sin which one is battling through, or the need to repent, feel sorrow and work things
through. It is like a cancer of belief that strips away sanctification from the believer and
leaves them justified in faith, as if this alone saves and is the purpose of Christs message.

On this basis the pharisees were saved, because they sure believed.
One way of looking at my viewpoint is the members of the Kingdom of heaven are saved
from the point of coming to faith, because they truly are entering heaven.
They can never lose their salvation because from eternity they are eternal.

The joke for me, is because I believe we are called to walk in purity and righteousness,
the way of Jesus, they will be abusive and dismissive as if this is not rebellion against the
King.

But in truth how many of the people here are active members of a fellowship with a real
ministry and house group where the exercise faith, love and sharing?

It is easy to spout this bile here, rail on about extreme positions, while very few fellowships
dare to hold such obvious heresies. So where is the value? Where is the communion in Christ
and encouraging one another to good works and seeing Christ bring us to victory?

Grace and peace to you in Christ Jesus, Amen.

One difference,we are not "Jesus",all of us are different, not "perfect" in patience and wisdom as Jesus was and is,remember "Moses"?
Moses's father in law noticed how "pestering" the people of Israel were and a lot of their bickerings led Moses to do "wrong" for instance smiting the rock at Mispah, instead of speaking to it,for even though his father in law arranged priests to help he was still under alot of "strain" as a "role model".
