Goodness Dan, how does the word "the" that nearly all bible translations use, change the meaning of the scriptures quoted to you that disagree with youy understanding of "UNDER THE LAW"?

The GREEK is still different from the translation you used and the majority of bible translation agree with what has been shared with you.

Honestly man. Seems you are really trying hard to close your eyes to God's WORD.

Sorry my friend I am just being honest with you. You belief will keep you out of God's KINGDOM if you believe you can break God's LAW and enter God's KINGDOM without repentance; forgiveness and faith.

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.......................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Really? Colossians 2:16 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. How does that equate to the Sabbath day is binding on the Church under the New Covenant? Where is the Church commanded to keep the Sabbath day holy under the New Covenant?
While I can agree that to hold a particular day as holy is non binding to Christians, the Lord nevertheless is well pleased when the church does good and communicates with each other as we do here on this and other Christian forums.

Hebrews 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

If you are living in sin you are under the law. Condemned.
this presents an interesting situation

as i understand the idea presented, it's
You must keep the law in order to not be under the law

You have the correct idea although the application is through FAITH that works by LOVE.

Faith establishes God's LAW in us as we abide in Christ and walk in his Spirit. Of ourselves we can do nothing but sin. With Christ we can do all things. Our job is to BELIEVE God's WORD. The Sabbath is to teach us the POWER of CREATION in us who BELIEVE the WORD of GOD. All CREATION is through the WORD of GOD.

GOD said let there be light and there was light.... God's WORD is God's POWER to save us from SIN. This is the Gospel of Christ to those who BELIEVE it is the POWER of God unto salvation.

If the Son shall set you FREE you shall be FREE indeed. When Jesus bids you come you will walk on water if you BELIEVE his WORD.

You posted things out of context with your own understanding rather than the Spirit's.
i disagree that they were out of context
i think they fit well with what i was talking about

not sure what you mean by
"with your own understanding"
they were bible verses

that can be solved- stop trying to understand what the sabbatarians are trying to say. it makes little sense, and is certainly not Biblical.

Even when Sabbatarians set out to worship on the Sabbath, are they truly "keeping the Sabbath?" To "keep the Sabbath" as it was required in the Old Testament under the Old Covenant would involve compliance with specific regulations (Exodus 16:23; 35:3; Leviticus 23:32; Jeremiah 17:21) that were strictly enforced.

If Sabbath day observances are still required, so would the burnt offerings which went along with them (Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3; Numbers 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13). So no kindling a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath (Exodus 35:3). Every man must remain in his place (no traveling) on the sabbath (Exodus 16:29). No trading (Amos 8:5). No marketing (Nehemiah 10:31; 13:15,19).

These were commanded by God to Israel (Exodus 35:1).

If the seventh day Sabbath is still in affect, then why do not the Sabbatarians seek to obey ALL that the LORD commanded? How can a person keep a certain law when he keeps only part of it?

If the Sabbath day laws were still in effect today, then according to Exodus 31:12-18; 35:1-3; and Numbers 15:32-36, anyone who profaned the Sabbath was put to death and any person who does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from his people.

Who is going to enforce that? The Jewish synagogue? The Seventh day Adventist church? The Government? Since we do not live under a theocratic state as ancient Israel did under the Old Covenant, no Sabbatarian can live consistently under these Mosaic regulations.
yes, that "Every man must*remain in his place" is an interesting one

i believe the synagogue system we see Jews traveling to today is a post Exile addition

i was simply saying that if one wishes to go word for word with the Greek, there's no definite article there

i agree that the translation i posted is different than most

that's because the nirv strives for an easy reading level

big picture:
some people are good at math or music, others not so much.
and, some folks are not so good at reading

the nirv breaks down long sentences into smaller ones and makes inferences clearer.

I do not share my own words but the Word of him who sends me; What he tells me in secret I must preach on the housetops. He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me. Yet you have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed come judgement day.

He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Do you know the scriuptures posted above gb9?

SIN is the breaking of ANY of God's Commandments (Rom 7:7; 1 John 3:4; James 2:9-11) Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

We all agree that God made the Sabbath for man.

What I asked you for was specific instruction from God’s word in the New Testament, that teaches the Church how to observe the Sabbath.

Please point out for me the New Testament scriptures, in any of your post’s that instructs the Church as to how to specifically observe the Sabbath, under the New Covenant.

Most of your post is instruction from the law of Moses.

Example:

If you believe the Church is to attend a synagogue on the Sabbath, then please quote some verses where Paul instructs the Churches to attend a synagogue on the Sabbath.

If the Church is commanded to attend a synagogue on the Sabbath, I know everyone here would want to obey that command from the Lord.

If you have some important things to add to the Church about the Sabbath, such as attending a synagogue, please quote the Chapter and verse from the New Testament, that teaches this.

If you have any other things about the Sabbath, that we need to know, such as limited travel, special foods, or anything else, please point us to those New Testament verses, so we can comply.

I would honestly like to study any scriptures from the New Testament that instruct or direct or command us how to observe the Sabbath under the guidelines of the New Covenant.

Paul was the main apostle, who was sent by Jesus Christ to preach, and teach as well as instruct the Gentiles in the way of God’s Kingdom.

I find nothing from him as to how the Church is to observe the Sabbath.

Nothing about commanding the Church to attend a synagogue, or restricting travel, or commands to not gather sticks to build a fire...

In order to have a Bible Study, we first have to have pertanent scriptures that pertain to this subject, in order to study and discuss.

There is no use in quoting Old Testament scriptures that pertain to the Sabbath since the law of Moses commanded death, to those who so much as gathered sticks to kindle a fire on the Sabbath.

You have ignored this request of mine for months, and have lied repeatedly that you have answered when all you do is post scriptures from the law of Moses.

Or , post a scripture that says it’s ok to do good on the Sabbath, or that the Sabbath was made for man, none of which give us specific instructions as to how to observe the Sabbath under the New Covenant.

here's something that might relate

Acts 21: 21. They have been informed about you, that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children neither to walk after the customs. - Bible Offline

the concern is about what Paul is teaching the Jews

i see a strong implication that no one is concerned that Paul is not teaching the gentiles about the law

The Pharisees also had some of God’s Commandments written on their heart, not all of them, just the ones their god promoted. They omitting some of the Commandments that they found, that they saw, that they judged of unworthy of their respect. Jesus said the should have included the Commandments they omitted and not to leave the others undone. This is how we know if we are following the true Jesus or one created in our own mind.
Not leave the others undone?

So yes, wear tzitzit? Yes, keep new moon? Yes, physically kill violators?

Or you neglect the ones you don't like, too?

Now JBL, your only making things up now.

Please tell us WHY there would need to be a new commandment to specifically tell gentile believers to keep the Sabbath when God's people received it from God already, 4000 years earlier before Jesus?

Under the NEW COVENANT gentile BELIEVERS are now grafted in to God's Israel (Romans 11:17-27).

God's Israel in the NEW COVENANT are those that BELIEVE GOD'S WORD and FOLLOW it. (Galatians 3:16; Romans 9:6; Galatians 3:28-29; Colossians 3:11; Romans 10:11-13; Romans 2:28-29).

If you are not a part of God's Israel, then you have NO PART in the NEW COVENANT
(Jeremiah 31:33-4; Hebrews 8:10-12; Hebrews 10:14-17; Hebrews 8:10-12).

You cannot disregard the OLD Testament scriptures that are the foundation of the NEW Testament. The NEW Testament is built on the Old Testament and together they are the Word of God. Do you disagree?

Most of the scriptures provided to you in easrlier posts are all from the NEW Testament in regards to God's Sabbath, with instruction that builds on the OLD Testament Scriptures that have already beren given in Exodus 20:8-11 of which God's people had already received.

In the NEW Testament Jesus taught us that;

It seems in your view according to the NEW TESTAMENT scriptures.....

1. Jesus did not teach that it is lawful to do GOOD on the Sabbath? (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)

2. In your view; Jesus did not teach that God's Sabbath was made for mankind and not man for the Sabbath rebuking the tradtions of the Jew in regards to their traditions and interpretation around Sabbath keeping? (Mark 2:27-28; Matthew 12:8)

3. In your view; Jesus did not teach that he was the maker and creator of the Sabbath and the God of creation? (Hebrews 1:2; John 1:1-3; 14; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16-17; Mark 2:27)

4. In your view; Jesus is not our example who kept the Sabbath as well as all those who followed him (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

5. In your view; was Jesus was lying when he said those that break God's Commandments and teach others to do so will not enter God's Kingdom? (Matt 5:19)

6. In your view; Jesus was lying when he said not a jot or tittle will pass from God's LAW until heaven and earth pass away? (Matthew 5:18)

7. In your view; Jesus was lying when he said that on the two great commandments of LOVE to GOD and MAN hang ALL the LAW and the prophets? (Matthew 22:36-40)

8.
In your view; Paul is not to be believed when he gives us warnings that those who do NOT believe and follow GOD
do not enter into God's Sabbath rest because of their SINS and UNBELIEF (Hebrews 3-4)?

9. In your view; there is only 9 Commandments not 10 and James is lying when he says that if you break one of God's Commandments you stand guilty before God of breaking all of them (James 2:8-12).

10. In your view; the OLD Testament scriptures are not to be BELIEVED, and Timothy is not to be believed when he says ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16)

11. In your view; God's 4th Commandment is not one of God's 10 Commandments

Why would Jesus and the Apostles give us further instruction in relation to Sabbath keeping building on the OLD TESTAMENET scriptures if we no longer need to keep it? (Point 1, 2, 3, 6)

If your understanding of the scriptures are correct you will have no problems providing scripture for the following questions;

Please feel free to show us from the Scriptures........

1. That God's 4th Commandment has now been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a HOLY day?

2. That Jesus is a Sabbath?

3. The Sabbath (seventh day) was ever changed from the seventh to the first day of the week?

4. Where we are told to keep the first day of the week holy?

5. Where the first day of the week (Sunday) is ever called a holy day?

6. That says that Jesus ever kept the first day (Sunday)?

7. That tells us to keep the first day in honour of the resurrection of Christ?

8. Where the first day is ever given any sacred name?

9. That affirms that any of the apostles ever kept the first day as the Sabbath?

10. From any apostolic writings that authorizes Sunday observance as the Sabbath of God?

11. Where we are told not to work on the first day of the week?

12. That says the seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day?

13. That says the seventh day Sabbath is ABOLISHED?

14. Where the apostles ever taught any convert to keep the first day of the week as a Sabbath?

15. Where the first day was ever appointed to be kept as the Lord's Day?

16. Where the first day of the week is ever called the Lord's Day?

17. That says that the first day of the week was ever sanctified and hallowed as a day of rest?

18. That says that the Father or the Son (Jesus) rested on the first day of the week?

19. That says that Jesus, Paul or any other of the apostles taught anyone to observe the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

20. That calls the seventh day the “Jewish Sabbath” or one text that calls Sunday the “Christian Sabbath”?

21. Telling man to keep the first day of the week holy or to worship or rest on the first day of the week?

22. Authorizing anyone to set aside God's Sabbath and observe any other day?

23. Showing any of the apostles keeping the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

24. Authorizing someone to set aside the fourth Commandment and observe any other day of the week?

25. Where any apostle taught us to keep the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

26. Declaring that the seventh day is no longer the Eternal Sabbath day?

27. Where Sunday is now appointed to be kept as the New Testament Sabbath or holy day?

If your lamp has gone out how can you find your way when the road is dark and narrow is the way?

SIN is the transgression or breaking of God's Commandments (Romans 7:7; James 2:8-12; 1 John 3:4)

I can honestly say the defunct Old Testament law that requires me to keep Saturday above other days, is most certainly NOT written on my heart. The other commandments are, but not that one. And that is the testimony of someone who lives in close harmony with the LORD.
I have repented and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour in faith. So what are you gibbering on about? Don't tell me. According to you, I'm a sinner because I don't keep Saturday Holy. Hopefully, one day you will grow up spiritually. Roll on!
The devil knows it only takes ONE KNOWN SIN UNREPENTED of to keep you out of God's KINGDOM come judgement day.

You are not living in harmony with God if you are breaking God's commandments neither do you know him according to God's WORD.

1 John 2
3,
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments
4, He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

SIN is the transgression or breaking of God's Commandments (Romans 7:7; James 2:8-12; 1 John 3:4)

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

so, the idea is you must keep the (written?) law in order to be saved.
Goodness Dan,

We are saved only by GRACE through FAITH and NOT of OURSELVES it is a GIFT of GOD and NOT of WORKS lest any man should BOAST (Eph 2:8).

However if your FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE then you are still in your SINS because you have rejected the GIFT of God's dear Son. If your tree has NO FRUIT it is cast down and thrown into the FIRE (James 2:18-20; 25; Matt 7:16-23)

WHAT IS GRACE FOR?

Romans 1
5, By whom we have received GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name.

Romans 6
1, What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. 2, How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

DOES FAITH ABOLISH GOD'S LAW?

Romans 3
31,
Do we then ABOLISH THE LAW THROUGH FAITH? GOD FORBID: YES, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THOSE WHO CONTINUE IN SIN ONCE THEY RECEIVE A KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH?

Hebrews 10
26,
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Not leave the others undone?

So yes, wear tzitzit? Yes, keep new moon? Yes, physically kill violators?

Or you neglect the ones you don't like, too?
so Jesus taught to keep all the laws

i can't find a place in the scriptures were this idea is made explicit:

disregard these commandments of God, keep the rest

Nope try reading it slowly.

We are not saved by what we do.

The scriptures teach we need to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior to save us from our sins through as we BELIEVE God's WORD.

God saves you as you have FAITH in his WORD. You cannot save yourself.
