Question 1

1. If someone is professing to be a Christian but is living a life of KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN are they in a SAVED state before God or an UNSAVED state before God?

You answered...

1. Unsave, therefore dear repent and do not follow man made law
You answered correctly. Those who live in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

WHAT IS SIN?

James 2
8, If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, YOU ARE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW

James is pretty clear if we brake ANY of God's Law (10 commandments) then we are a TRANSGRESSOR of God's LAW

links to...........

1 John 3
4 Whosoever commits SIN transgresses also the law: for SIN is the transgression of the law.
John is in agreement with James and states that if we TRANSGRESS God's LAW then we commit SIN because SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF GOD'S LAW. So it is very clear that SIN is breaking ANY of God's LAW (10 commandments)
Links to...........

Romans 7

7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known SIN, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Well here we have Paul in agreement with James and John also telling us that SIN is breaking God's commandments and uses the 10th commandment as an example of breaking any of God's LAW (10 commandments) = SIN (Exodus 20:17)

Links to............

Romans 3

20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: FOR BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN.
Once again Paul is in agreement with John and James which all agree together that if we break any of God's LAW (10 commandments) we commit SIN because as James, John and Paul all agree together that SIN is breaking ANY of God's 10 commandments.

God's Word is in disagreement with you my friend. SIN is the transgression of God's LAW (10 commandments)

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

If you break God's 4th Commandment just like any of the other 10 Commandments you stand guilty before God in SIN and unless you REPENT of your SIN, CONFESSING it to JESUS and accept God's GIFT of GRACE (Forgiveness) through FAITH in God's promises you WILL NOT ENTER the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.............

Question 2

2. Where in God's WOrd does it say God's 4th Commandment has now been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

You answered...

2. God not abolish 4 th commandment but fulfill it, real rest is only in Jesus. Physical sabbath doer may not real rest. And no body make Sunday as sabbath, not me, but I like to make everyday alike rest in Jesus
When you say Jesus did not ABOLISH the 4th Commandment this is correct. There is NO scripture that says that God's 4th Commandment is ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. This is a Catholic teachinng that has led many to break God's 4th Commandment.

You are correct NO one has ABOLISHED the 4th Commandment it is one of the 10 commandments that give a KNOWLEDGE of SIN if we break them. It is God that says EVERYDAY is NOT alike and there is NO REST to those who DISOBEY God.

By your own WORDS you say there is NO scripture that says God's 4th Commandments is ABOLISHED and GOD who says NOT EVERYDAY is alike and we are NOT to WORK on the Sabbath.

Exodus 20
8
, Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
9,
Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10,
But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD THY GOD: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
11,
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and MADE IT HOLY

As we have shown above already God's LAW (10 Commandments) of which the 4th Commandments is one of the 10 gives us a KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is (Romans 3:20). If we break ANY of the 10 Commandments we commit SIN (James 2:8-12; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4)

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the authority of the law.

since I'm not under the authority of the law, i don't have to do what it says

like, 250 years ago, the king of England had legitimate authority were i live.

but no longer

so, i don't have to pay taxes to Her Majesty's government.
i don't have to do what she says (nothing personal about the Queen, here)

!
Goodness my friend you are treading indeed on dangerous ground that will indeed effect your salvation in Christ.

Are you now saying you are free to break Gods' LAW?

You are indeed confused as God's LAW gives us a knowledge of what SIN is (Romans 3:20)

If you have no KNOWLEDGE of SIN you have NO NEED of as SAVIOR. If you have NO SAVIOR you have NO SALVATION if you have NO SALVATION you are LOST because you are still in your SINS and do not KNOW you are a SINNER.

Rom 2
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law
13,
For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

The literal translation of GREEK translation of GAL 5:18 (Linked) says...

If the Spirit you are led by you are not UNDER THE LAW

The meaning here is the if you are being led by God's Spirit you will not be SINNING and condemned by the LAW as a SINNER. This is further referenced by the scritprures we have already been discussing which define what is means to be "UNDER THE LAW"

When you combine Gal 4:4; Gal 5:18 with Romans 3:19-23 it is very clear what the meaning is....

Romans 3
19,
Now we know that what things soever the law said, it said to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21, But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22, Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ to all and on all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

God's LAW (10 Commandments) is to give us a KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is and lead us to JESUS (Gal 3:24-25) that we might be justified by FAITH. Not being "UNDER THE LAW" means your no longer under the CONDEMNATION of the LAW because you have been FOGIVEN for your SINS.

IF you are still CONTINUING in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN you do not KNOW GOD because you have rejected his GIFT of SALVATION through his Son and you are still in your SINS.

The scripture says the woman was under the law (sinner) not Jesus. So Jesus was born of sinners but did not sin. This is why he is our perfect sacrifice to those who believe.

Rom 2:12
For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; ALL who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN WILL be LOST and NOT Enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

I think posthuman was asking about the custom of stoning in Biblical times according to Jewish law.
Yes, and on Jacksons behalf, actually, because he also experiences much difficulty getting straight answers to simple questions.

More when i have a chance to sit down at a pc, difficult to parse quotes on phone.

LGF. Read Numbers 28:9-10.

"On the Sabbath day offer two one-year-old male lambs without any defects, 4 pounds of flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering, and the wine offering. This burnt offering is to be offered every Sabbath in addition to the daily offering with its wine offering."

They slaughtered two lambs every Sabbath, in addition to the daily sacrifice.

The priests killed the lambs on the Sabbath, they made fires to burn them despite the fact that kindling a fire was expressly forbidden in Exo_35:3. And it was done in the temple, in the place of holiness, where the law should have been most strictly observed.

So much for your Sabbath teaching.
If we are being told that according to commandment of the letter we must keep a law, why do we not keep it according to the very same law? If we don't we are obviously hypocritical, and we keep human traditions, not Law.

None of that is true whatsoever. Jackson has been provided with scripture all through this thread yet has chosen not to believe God like some others here.

Only God's Word is true and we should believe and FOLLOW him who calls us in love to love another. If we reject God's Word it is the same as rejecting God.

Hebrews 10
26,
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28, He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29, Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite to the Spirit of grace?
30, For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, said the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Continual rejection of God's Word makes one an UNBELIEVER because we have rejected a KNOWLEDGE of the truth. UNBELIEVERS have NO part in God's KINGDOM.

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN and not BELIEVING GOD will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.......................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

There is no scripture that says tzitzit command is specifically abolished.

Why then do I not burn in hell if I continue to wear garments without tzitzit and that, with no repentance?

Assume for sake of argument everything LGF says is 100% true.

I do not need to 'answer him' for anything, then, I assume he is entirely correct for sake of discussion.

He says breaking command equal sin.
He says continue to break command without repentance equals you burn in hell.
Law says whole congregation must put sinners to death, physically.

He is afraid to concede what the Law says? He is afraid to obey it? Who knows, he just won't answer Jackson.

I believe it is called 'special pleading' among logicians.

As there is no command saying that sacrificial sin offerings are specifically abolished.

Some people do not know the differece between the Shadow laws of the OLD Covenant pointing to the NEW and the laws of God which are forever.

Pehaps it is now time for you to read the OP here so you can have something to contibute to the conversation?

'special pleading' --

The law I want to judge you for, I say is still valid.
The law I do not want to be judged by you for, I say is abolished.

Though scripture doesn't say either; scripture says you have died in Christ in order that you may have life, because having died with Him, you are not under law but grace.

((not, 'you are under certain parts of the Law but not under others' -- you are dead and therefore the Law has no power over you whatsoever))

.... but I am no teacher, as I said, only an ignorant fool with nothing but faith in the faithfulness of my Redeemer. Selah, it is enough

You have only died in Christ if you have died to your sin, taken up your cross and following him who calls us in love to love another. God's LAW does indeed have power over you if you break it you commit sin and are UNDER the LAW guilty before God of SIN.

If your faith does not have the fruit of OBEDIENCE then you are still in your sins.

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN and not BELIEVING GOD will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN because they have rejected the GIFT of GOd's dear son.(Romans 6:23).

Non answer, special pleading, ad homimem, rejecting the sufficiency of atonement.
Those who choose a life of SIN over the WORD of GOD count the blood of the Covenant an unholy thing crucifying to themselves the son of God afresh. These are those who reject the atonement which is by blood.

Hebrews 6
4,
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6, If they shall fall away, to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7, For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes oft on it, and brings forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receives blessing from God:
8, But that which bears thorns and briers is rejected, and is near to cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Hebrews 10
26,
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN because they have rejected the atonement and the blood of the covenant.

just wanted to refer anyone to my post # 6069 , as per the Sabbath / Lord's Day issue.
Don't worry gb9, you have not been forgotten. I just had not gotten round to posting it yet.... :)

greek words for Lord's Day- kyriake hemera. greek word for Sabbath - sabbaton . two different words, with the words for Lord's Day being the only time they are used in the N. T.
Correct, lets look at the word meanings and how they do not change that meaning that the Sabbath is the Lord's Day as written in Mattew 12:8 or Mark 2:27-28......

Revelations 1:10
10,
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's (G2960) day, (G2250) and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet.

STRONGS
Lord's meaning G2960 κυριακός kuriakos (kï-riy-a-kos') adj.belonging to the Lord (Jehovah or Jesus).
[from G2962] KJV: Lord's Root(s): G2962 Lord κύριος kurios (kï '-riy-os) n.
1. lord, supreme in authority, the one in control.
2. (also, by implication) sir or master (as a title showing respect for others).
3. (in Hebrew) Adonai, The Lord God of Israel (which is actually Yahweh God of Israel - see Exodus 5:1 and 120 other occurrences).
4. (in Hebrew) Yahweh. Outside the Hebraic Scriptures, rabbis rendered the name “Yahweh” as “LORD” or as “GOD” with the intent to keep this name utterly holy and away from any hint or speck of desecration. This practice continues fervently to this day.
5. (of ownership) an owner (especially of an animal or object).

The same Greek word in Rev 1:10 for DAY IS used in other places nad once again it is referring to God's Sabbath (Luke 4:16; 13:14; 16; 14:15; John 5:9; Acts:13:14)

Matthew 12:8
8,
For the Son of man is Lord (G2962) even of the sabbath day.

STRONGS
Lord meaning G2962 κύριος kurios (kï '-riy-os) n.
1. lord, supreme in authority, the one in control.

As you can see above the Words used have the same meaning of application depending on how they are used. The meaning of Lord/Lord's in both Matthew 12:8 and Rev 1:10 is of OWNERSHIP of the DAY and the context is singular meaning that it is referring to a specific day.

Which day is the Lord's day? No need to guess. The scriptures make it very clear.

Matthew 12:8
8,
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day

Which day is the Sabbath day?

Exodus 20
8
, Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY.
11,
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and MADE IT HOLY

.................

Now where in the scriptures does it say that the "LORD'S DAY" is referring to Sunday? Woops there is no scripture. You cannot prove something that is not there. There is NO scripture that says the "LORD'S DAY" is referring to Sunday.

The "LORD'S DAY" = The SABBATH DAY = The SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK (Matthew 12:8; Ex 20:8-11)

Yep it seems God's Word is very clear the Lord's Day is the Sabbath day? There is NO scripture in God's WORD that says the Lord's DAY is Sunday.

Many like to keep SUNDAY because of their Catholic heritage.

John, a jewish man who knew the Sabbath from his youth, would have most likely used the word Sabbath if that is what he meant. but, he used a completely different word, for a different day.
Not really. Jesus did not declare that he was God or CREATOR and maked of the SABBATH until sometime through His ministry and John would NOT have KNOWN who the Messaiah was. Knowing that Jesus was the Creator of the World would have been a revelation to John as it would have been to all mankind.

Thank you, lightbearer, for your grace in giving an answer - you are like a cup of water to one who thirsts but received nothing but dust kicked in his eyes.

Tho I do not agree entirely with what you said ((and when I have opportunity, I'll get to it)) I appreciate your willingness to at least step forward and answer plainly plain questions.
