Cain talked and answered God. its hard to do that if you didn't believe that God existed.

Do you think that Cain believed in love, who is God?

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

I said Cain was a doubter. This doubt is what caused Cain to offer his waste produce to an entity he wasn't sure was there.
When Cain saw his brother Able's smoke from his sacrifice ascend, while the smoke from his sacrifice did not ascend, Cain simply got jealous of his brother, and like a reasonless beast, slew his brother.
Had Cain believed in God, who is love according to 1 John 4:8 & 16, he would then not have slain his brother.
According to Gen 4:6-7, God spoke to Cain and told him he could rule over sin, that he did not have to be in subjection to sin. Cain rejected God's Word and went out and murdered Abel.

Genesis 4:7 [NLT]
You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master."

Cain was not a doubter, he was a selfish person who wanted the best for himself. That was caused by sin being loosed i the world. He became self righteous, and God told him that if he would do what was right, he would please him, because sin was desired to have him, which it did. He was weak . He surely talked with God daily, and God talked back to him.

Everyone currently has God/love within them to converse and commune with.
This, however, will soon end at the conclusion of the beasts system on earth, when the Lord comes as a thief in the night for the sudden destruction (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3), and to seperate Himself from the faithless (2 Thessalonians 1:9).

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

2 Thessalonians 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

We are all doubters, and of little faith.

This is absolutely false so I deleted the balance of your post as it is built on a faulty premise...
I have shown with scriptures in 2 Thessalonians 1:9 that until the system of the beast concludes, the Lord is then still now with everyone for their illumination.
You claim this to be false, thereby denying the Word in 2 Thessalonians 1:9, while providing no scriptural support for your denial.

Isaiah 60:2-3 is what happens to the world upon the Lords seperation from the faithless, and what happens to the faithful at the conclusion of the beasts system. The faithless throughout the world will be without further illumination from the Lord, thereby requiring them to seek illumination from the Lord in the saints.

Isaiah 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

He had the same belief in God the fallen angels did....that He existed. that is not the same as worshiping or obeying God.

Cain like many in the world seek to please God to get rewards not out of love. He did not have the Gospel or the Holy Spirit in side of him. Abel is called a prophet because he looked to the passover Lamb.

no "we" are not.

God tells us what we are in our hearts. why does your heart call you a doubter? what do you doubt? what do you have faith in?

Everyone currently has God/love within them to converse and commune with.

no only those who are born again can speak with God. only those with the Holy Spirit who have accepted Jesus as Messiah have His love within us.

everyone does not have that. sadly most people don't have the Holy Spirit telling them they are His children and can pray and know their Abba Father hears them. most think they are still double minded and complain about not having their prayers answers because they lust after things of this world.

yes Jesus will come, but your view of reality is ....ummm... interesting.

I don't believe you are giving Louis a fair assessment!

I understood what Louis was writting,
It is a possibility that denial also crept in like envy(coveteousness) and the condition worsened after being warned. What we know of Cain is after the fact of action in murdering his brother.

There are both linear and fluid points of perspective that can be derived.

Hmm, after looking into it more, I think i'm convinced that there must have been prior communication from God about what an acceptable sacrifice looks like.

I didn't think of the Hebrews 11 scripture until it was raised here.

God's reply to Cain, I think, shows that there must have been prior understanding in order to know how to do well.

I wonder though, what did it look like at the time for God to reject Cain's offering?

Your claim that we are not doubters and of little faith, puts you above the apostles and disciples whom Christ called of little faith.

Hello!
Thanks, your cited example has nothing to do with Cain and Abel's offering.

Consider:

2Cor 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Cain suffered as we all have or suffering, "heart" condition, according to scripture.

God Bless!!!

In a sense I agree, but only one time in all my life did I ever have a thought to kill, and it had nothing to do with hate or unforgiveness.

One thing I've learned from experience is that the seed of the enemy
Falsely accuses and imputes sin where there is none in order to plant a tare.
and in all manner of blasphemy will even pervert the Divine Word to do so.

For example.
I was once having a conversation with a family member whom I once respected and in my heart honored their counsel in utter naivety.
There came time when I aproached this person and convided in them about a situation where i was wronged by a employer and was simply seeking advice.
Then the family member whom I once honored and respected responded with a single verse,"judge not lest ye be judged".

In my heart I knew this was wrongly being applied to the situation. But I had not read the Word at this point in my life.
Now then later in life I've learned from the Lord how the enemy attacked. They used a pretense to weaken a Shield of Faith given early in my life yet was not strengthened.

The reality is that the wicked pervert the Word to justify wickedness.

The Wonderfull Couselor has since that moment till now, essentially taught me while walking in prayer that the enemies seed is to be utterly destroyed (killed)
