I do not know if you have yet seen, but there are people representing many different
theological positions among the members here, from sda, calvanists, armenians, charismatics,
non-charisamatics, NAR, baptist, catholic, anglican, methodist, reincarnation followers, legalists,
hebrew-roots, trinitarians, liberals, free grace and many others.

Ding! Ding! Ding! And we have a winnnaaaah!

My approach to what other people believe is to listen to them, Figure out if I was wrong about what they believe. Then correct my thinking about what they believe. And even after this, If I still misrepresent them in any means. Be humble enough to admit you made a mistake. Then move on. If you disagree with them, then you are open to discussing why you disagree with them.

To continually bash them and lie about what they believe, And continue to excuse yourself for doing it. Is just plain unchristlike, foolish, and wrong.

If we want to discuss you view on a particular subject (like says dispensationalsim) then says, This is my view of it. Then lets discuss your view of it.

But for once in your time on CC, can you please stop slandering a group of people who do not believe what you claim they do? Is this to hard for you to comprehend?
Good luck with that....I remember Jesus saying something about the blind and the leaders of the blind both falling into the ditch.........I have yet to see one legalistic Pharisee and or worker for be able to....

a. Acknowledge that they are working their way (attempting to no avail)
b. Deny they teach works and come clean
c. Acknowledge that they regularly twist, embellish and or flat misrepresent what we have said.
d. They vacillate more than the South Pacific in a Cyclone

By the way, I just looked it up. Scofield and his references concerning the sermon on the mount seem to have been abused by certain people. I have found a few people took part of his reference (where he states the law aspect of the sermon is not applicable to the church, and should never be taken this way, because by the law no man was saved) yet did not show where he said the jews should have seen this aspect and a means to point them to christ, but they failed in using the law in this way, And that the sermons. On the mount DOES apply to the church, as a beautiful moral aspect. In that the poor in spirit is blessed, that those who are convicted of their sins and are meek WILL seek after righteousness, That those who hunger will be filled. Those who who show mercy will be blessed, and those who become pure in heart will see God, etc etc.

It is just a pure example of how people will twist and turn what people say, Cut out parts of what they said and only use th part which appears to support their view. And people all over the world will see their write up, and think EVERYONE believes that way, when in fact, they have followed a false teacher who is slandering a group of people he disagrees with. Most likely because his view, when scrutinized, would fail under pressure.

One could easily see Scofield (many call the father of dispensationalsim) saying the sermon does nto apply to us, if they only read one point he made, and totally ignore the rest of what he said.

Remember, this person has known me for awhile. And responded to posted where I have answered these questions. But here he asked. I guess at east I give him credit.

1. No dispensationalsim person I ever met (and I have met many in many churches all over the United States and in chat rooms) have every believed the sermon on the mount does not apply to us
2. Why would Gods words fill me with condemnation? I am saved, completely washed by the blood of the lamb, Adopted as a child’s of God, (I can go to God and call him daddy (abba Father) and he lets me in) I have past from death to life, I have been redeemed by the blood. I have been given EVERY spiritual blessing in heaven, I have been sealed by his spirit. I have been given his rest, his hope and his life. What is there for me to be scared about? The only reason I would need ot be scared is if I was under law. (That is unless I watered the law down, and think I am sinless)
3. Yes, if we are wise, we will listen his words, But we will not just listen to them, We will chew on them, Gnawl on them (john 6) gets to know what he means by those words. Not just overlook them and think we know what they mean, so we are ready to use them in our life. Truth and love Go hand in hand, I can not love unless I have experienced the love of God, and I can not have truth unless I study to show myself aproved.
Greeting eternally-gratefull,

Amen, you hold to the Sermon on the mount and Jesus's wisdom and life expressed there,
Amen, and amen.

As a believer filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus's words will refine us and remake us, through
the washing of His blood, and obedience to His commands.

Amen, that as a wise follower, Jesus words will dwell in your heart for eternity.
It sounds like we are in agreement with the sermon on the mount, praise the Lord.

What matters to me, is not where people were in the past, but where the Lord has
led them today. I cannot tell you how important, and foundational all Jesus's words
are to me, because in them I have found life, and anyone who has equally found this
I will rejoice with.

Peace and grace to you in Christ Jesus, Amen.

the dude has lied about so many people since he has arrived, He has no authority or credibility to be judging other people. He needs to repent of his own sins first.

And this strawman about defending sin, He will find out one day who is really defending sin here, My worry is that by the time he finds out, it will be too late.
as in a micro second too late and one (1) work short........
