The fact that you don't recognize that as scripture says tons about you, deek. And the fact that you resist correction about it says even more.

See it? You KNOW that everyone who practices righteousness is born of him. What we do is what gives us the assurance that we have the righteousness of God and are ready to meet Jesus when he returns.

See it? You KNOW that everyone who practices righteousness is born of him. What we do is what gives us the assurance that we have the righteousness of God and are ready to meet Jesus when he returns.

I think at the core of all this , is a basic misunderstanding of Paul's epistles & the "Dispensation of Grace "
The risen Lord Jesus appeared to & saved Paul , and gave him a very specific message FOR US at this time
Most religious people wont accept it tho

You got that right....they cannot get away from CAINOLOGY.......offering their works and assuming JESUS will receive it and allow them in......

I will never point at what I have done....I will ALWAYS point entirely to JESUS and his work, power and promises on my behalf....he gets ALL THE GLORY

AMEN , God requires PERFECTION , and I know that I will never come close , so thankful for Jesus and what he has done for me :)

THATS RIGHT , two seperate issues , Jesus's righteousness is imputed to us the moment we believe the Gospel and put our TRUST in what HE HAS DONE for us !!!

The point is we know who is born again by if they are no longer living in and practicing sin. John said that, not me. The new grace doctrine in the church says it does not matter, and that sin is sin anyway. That makes John a liar.

You hit the nail right on the head. That's why Ralph won't address major arguments, disappears, then jumps back in with practically the same posts. Always accusing us as believing grace is a license to sin, when we have refuted that numerous times.

He/she seems to delight in bearing false witness.

You need to post what he said and show us how he was wrong and how works do not matter in salvation toward the showing of a person being born again or not.

Hmm....I don't recall sharing my life with you.

What you need to do is take the scriptures in 1 John that I posted and explain to us how they don't really mean what they say. That is the only way you will convince anybody you are right. But of course, we know you can not do that. We are going to believe the scriptures over what you say.

By works? Nope, an unconverted sinner can do even more good works than a Christian - fooling people like you who Pharisaical judge by outward appearance.

Here's how we know we are saved, Ralph: "The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God." (Romans 8:16)

But no, with you, it's all "Works! Works! Works!"

I've asked you many times, and I'd like an answer: Are you Catholic?
