I have to ask myself a simple question?
Did the priests in the temple ever become defiled? Yes
What did they have to do then? Find purification
Once purified could then then enter the Holy place and not defile it? Yes
The concept some refuse to accept, that we can ever become pure and holy in Christ.
Jesus was, the apostles were, the disciples and the those who came to faith were, yet
today a group who claim to follow Jesus, who rebel against His words, who stand against
anyone who says God makes them Holy, literally, are somehow believers in Christ and the
cross, when this very purification and oneness from the heart with the Father through the
Son is our calling.
No wonder in their faith, they can never say the prayer of a righteous person God answers,
because they never believe they are ever righteous.
The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
James 5:16
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
Romans 5:19
You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?
Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?
You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.
And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend.
You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.
James 2:20-24
