So, have the workers for done enough today to keep their salvation secure.....1 work, 6 works, 50 works or 1000 will not add to or keep that which is freely and eternally given in Christ by faith.....

Faith alone saves, justifies, sanctifies (positionally) and seals the believer in Christ forever....

He that believes on the son is having everlasting life........end of story.

I have no problem with the word of God, just your erroneous view of it.......and the erroneous views that your working for, sinless perfectionists buddies push........let's start with the milk shall we....see if you can understand the simple truth of...

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to SAVE them that BELIEVE.

See how simple that is.....let's break it down for you in the hopes you may finally see the truth....

a. This verse states that God is pleased with the following result
b. To save them that BELIEVE

Maybe in your eyes it is foolish that one can be saved by believing the message (the gospel message)

BELIEVE=SAVED

FAITH is what saves...not works, not religion, not church membership, not jumping through man made hoops of religious ropes, not immersion, not spiritual gifts, not running as fast as you can.....

FAITH......you should try faith....it "works" when it comes to biblical salvation.
And your preaching to save them that would believe is not a work but Faith because as you say and claim "Faith ALONE saves." Can you explain how preaching becomes a Faith without works which is dead

New International Version 1984 Romans 10:8-18 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”

sorry for taking so long

i never even noticed you sent something directed to me
what do you mean when you say obedience and obey

but yes i have a genuine faith in Him
:)

also i think you implied you can lose salvation after being born again

thats not true
praise God for you having a genuine faith which works in love. Am I correct in saying that your genuine faith WORKS otherwise it's useless or dead?

New International Version 1984 John 14:15 Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit “If you love me, you will obey what I command.

New International Version 1984 1 John 5:3 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,

New International Version 1984 2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

New International Version 1984 1 Corinthians 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

If you think for one minute that I do anything to supplement my salvation you are sorely mistaken....and if you would pay attention to anything that has been said you could easily articulate exactly what I believe and my stance......

It is obvious that it is Peter and his very presence is breaking the rules and proves he is not all that and a bag of righteous chips......

Yep. Weird how he'll preach against sinning while he's lying about who he is.

He that believes on the son is having everlasting life...
And we know who has this everlasting life in them by if they are a new creation growing up into the image and stature of Christ.

Here are several excerpts from several different ONCE SAVED ALWAY SAVED Churches, that PROVE you have a distorted view of ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED Churches.
I don't see anything here that I did not already know.

Yes come to our church. The front door is open.
When they come in then we place burdens on them.

Don't drink don't smoke what do you do?

If you do do then evidence your not saved.

No wonder why people start leaving but the back door.

Lack of love, compassion and empathy.
My simple case study is me.

Severe gambling problem, for many many years. I hated it.
Even as a believer.

I have been healed and relesed from it.

I now walk with others who suffer the same issue.

Do I tell them "JUST stop it?
No I don't.
I understand the cause of the effect.

That's what I focus on.
I tell them what I went through and what Jesus has done in me to set me free.

The big issue for me is when people say "Dont do it, if you carry on then your not saved"

The bigger issue is that genuine believers come alongside but have not been through what the other person has been through.

Would I walk alongside with someone who's spouse was an adultery?
Probably not. Because I haven't experienced that.

Would I walk alongside a person who suffered as a result of divorced parents?
Yes I would, because I went through it 4 times.

My main point is

Do not write people off based on what we see.

Get to know the person.
Find out what is really going on.
Find out what is truly in their hearts.
The difference to look for is brokenness. Is the 'sinner' broken and contrite about his failure? That's what you look for to decide who you associate with who calls themselves a brother but who is 'immoral...or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler"-1 Corinthians 5:11.

After Paul instructed the church at Corinth to expel the immoral man from among them (seeing if they would stand the test of being obedient in this matter) he told them to receive the man in comfort and forgiveness so that he would not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. Apparently, he responded positively to their rebuke as evidenced by his sorrow. That's what you would expect from a sincere brother or sister. That's how you know who's for real and who's not. Are they sorry, or are they arrogant?

So I don't believe we are to expel people who are broken and sorrowful over the things they struggle with. It's the arrogant, unrepentant person who should be turned out and kept from coming back. It used to be they wouldn't come back anyway. Which is a good thing. But the trend today seems to be to make it so they don't leave. It's ruining the church.

Actually, the real difference is if a Christian is broken and contrite about His successes. Smile.

your Cainology will not save you just as it failed to save Cain.....rather tragic at the end of the day......You will be one of the many that boast of your works, just as you do here.....
I don't boast of my works. Even if I wanted to, I don't have to. Jesus said others will glorify Christ because of my deeds-Matthew 5:16. And Jesus himself will do all the praising of our works at the Judgment-Matthew 25:34-36.

"24The sins of some men are quite evident, going before them to judgment; for others, their sins follow after. 25Likewise also, deeds that are good are quite evident, and those which are otherwise cannot be concealed."-1 Timothy 5:24-25

If you are an obedient Christian, people will notice your deeds. You don't have to boast about them or point them out. Not here or at the judgment. Store up for yourself treasure in heaven where moth and rust and thief do not destroy. That's not a works gospel.

No amount of good works prove one's salvation. Why can't people get that?
I don't know. Why didn't Paul get that?

"14Do all things without grumbling or disputing; 15so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach"-Philippians 2:14-15

...that does not prove our salvation. There are unbelievers who do good works. Good works is not exclusive to Christians.
Then what was Jesus talking about here?

"As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me."
“My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples."
John 15:4,8

Salvation is assured by accepting Jesus Christ and His free gift. We don't have to "prove" anything to anyone. God knows whether or not we have salvation.
But do you know whether or not you have salvation? How do you know that you have believed unto eternal life? Just because you say so? Is that how we know if we are saved? Every false brother says he is saved. Does that make it so?

The Bible tells us how we can know if we truly believe unto eternal life. It tells us so that we can make sure that we are really saved and are prepared to meet Jesus when he comes back. God wants us to know for sure ahead of time and be ready.

"brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you"-2 Peter 1:10

As for rewards, well I'm sure I won't have any
I think you are very wrong about that. Christ said he will say to the righteous, 'you did this for me' and we'll say, "huh? When did we do that for you?".

I can think of people who did things for me that probably did not realize that God was very purposely using them to minister grace to me and in the process bring glory to God. They will know one day.

And as for "what we do" are we to go around trying to prove our salvation to others?
No. Prove it to yourself.
Others will find out just by seeing how you act.

He knows my heart/soul and that He has done all the work for my salvation and sealed it with the seal of the Holy Spirit.
The sign of the presence of the Holy Spirit in salvation in a person is the putting off of the deeds of the flesh, more and more as that person grows up into the image and stature of Christ. That's how you know for sure you have God's work in salvation applied to you and that you have the seal of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says to seek this assurance of salvation, the assurance that our change of behavior brings. That's how we can know for sure we're ready to meet Jesus and don't have to be afraid when he comes back because in this life we are like him.

I was reading in james this am
Thought of you guys
In 5 vs 9 there is something about judgement on brothers who hold grudges.

Uh oh
Yes, may all of us who have faith be careful to uphold the law by not bearing a grudge against a brother.

‘You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD."-Leviticus 19:18

"31Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law."-Romans 3:31
