Thank you for your answers.
I used murder because it's one of the 10 commandments.
Y'alls answers lead me to two more questions.
Does salvation require repentance?
Does repentance mean a simple apology, or does it require turning away from the sin.... to not sin?
What many fail to understand is that salvation is not embellished, helped, gained, kept or finished off with any work or works and that which they push equates to a works based salvation....the bible is clear...it is faith that justifies and saves a man before God.....A ONE OFF ETERNAL EVENT WITH PRESENT CONTINUING RESULTS....NOT ONE WORK OR PIECE OF FRUIT can be produced by anyone unless they have already been placed into the vine by salvation and faith......and the reason WORKS DO NONE OF THE ABOVE IS BECAUSE JESUS IS THE SOURCE OF ANY FRUIT OR WORK THRU US DIA FAITH AND AS A LIVING SACRIFICE.....Grace or works....one or the other......not both....end of story!
Notice the word 'because'.I think salvation does require repentance.
Repentance of the sin of unbelief.
John 16:8-9
8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
I wish this were true. But I think this is the very problem. Too many people who come to Christ for the get out jail free card but who don't also come to him to be changed from their old lives. So to me when one does that what they are saying at this juncture "I want to be like you and walk like you"
Grace does not make it so you can live in your old life and still be saved. That's why Freegrace doctrine is 'out of this forum' and not allowed to be discussed.Trusting in Christ and His work is just to 'easy.' This world teaches us we have to satisfy demands to be paid, accepted or worthy.
Free Grace is out of this world........It is why it attacked from EVERY corner of this world. Even other believers!

So the sins outside of that have been repented off. Turning away from it

Good, you're saving me the trouble of finding a quote for BillG about his request to find "verbatim anyone on here who promotes sin through disobedience to Gods commands"Divine discipline and reaping what we sow makes it miserable for us if we choose to carry on in our old life. Not to mention loss of ETERNAL rewards, being least in His Kingdom and having SHAME at His judgement seat if we 'live in our old life.'
FREEGRACE, seals us for the day of redemption. And we can NEVER perish.
...sitting ducks for hypergrace teachings, by the way. It's exactly what they want to hear. They don't have to change how they're living to be saved. Talk about ear tickling doctrines. Freegrace, hypergrace is it. Have your cake and eat it to.I wish this were true. But I think this is the very problem. Too many people who come to Christ for the get out jail free card but who don't also come to him to be changed from their old lives.
We're old school, VCO. We know and believe that we were not saved so we could continue in our old lives unchanged. And because we are truly born again, we wouldn't want to anyway.Yes, it begins with repentence, AND DEEP MOURNING OVER YOUR SINFULNESS; which I think that the Beatitude, has more to do with SIN, "Matthew 5:4 (NKJV) [SUP]4 [/SUP] Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted."
That is a Lifestyle attitude change, YOU WILL want to confess every new sin you discover in your life, and will do it promply.
YES, it involves a turning from sin, AND A SINCERE MOURNING OVER YOUR SINFULLNESS.
Ever hear in the news about a Judge giving some poor youth a second chance and telling him he's not going to punish him for what's he's done and then let's him go? The he shows up in court 6 months later in trouble again. You bet it means more than just saying your sorry and getting forgiven. Read Matthew 18:23-35.Thank you for your answers.

The law can only make your sin increase if you are still in the flesh-Romans 7:5. If you are still in the flesh you do not have the Spirit-Romans 8:9. IOW, you're not born again. As paul said, the law did not help us stop sin, It caused sin to Increase. The law or rules is not the answer. Loving God and others, and sacrifice of self. Is.
The law can only make your sin increase if you are still in the flesh-Romans 7:5. If you are still in the flesh you do not have the Spirit-Romans 8:9. IOW, you're not born again.
Anybody who's sin is aroused by the law is not born again. Born again people rejoice in the commands of God and are no longer slaves to sin and are able to do them.
Grace does not make it so you can live in your old life and still be saved. That's why "Freegrace doctrine" is 'out of this forum' and "not allowed to be discussed." (False statement).
Take your lies, your constant insults, and go peddle your false gospel somewhere far away.
There is no such thing as, "Freegrace doctrine", and all subjects" within reason are allowed to be discussed on this forum. Grace is the "Gift of God" -- let God be true and every man a lier. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, "it is the gift of God"
3) What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness?
4) Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. Romans3:3,4
