You mean like when they were burning alleged witches is at the stake?

Are we actually talking about burning people at the stake now?

This thread has gotten MUCH more exciting.

I've already said this about 157 billion times but I'll say it again. The Constitution has to be upheld because if you violate the constitution in favor of Christianity which you can't do because it's unconstitutional but anyway what's the stop someone else from doing the exact opposite and taking our rights away as Christians? You don't want to set that precedent
Will you be so certain to support the constitution if/when the supreme courts rules that preaching the Gospel violates the rights of unbelievers, Jews, Muslims and is therefore unconstitutional?
What will it take for you to stand up for what is according to God's standards instead of mans standards?
You will probably be on this site demanding that we must stop preaching the Gospel because the constitutions must be upheld.

The court system has redefined the constitution on many issues in my lifetime, including many religious rights that have been taken away.
You have way to much trust in this ungodly government that rules every aspect of our lives.

To say its not gonna happen shows just how foolish you are.

The wishful thinkers are old generation traditionalists. But they are becoming a minority, just as such things that are normalised of an age in life, are.

Life/God had to push them out, because if God didn't overrule the generation of 'this is the way it is' and then in 50 years want it to still be the way it 'was', we would still have slavery, and many other cruel things which have been wiped out by progress and change, good triumphing.

What people don't understand here in their self-interested views on human life, is that they are siding with cruelty.

Look at what the Muslims do to the gays in other countries. And yet no-one here will agree that there is a similarity between them and Muslims. No-one here will say, yes that's a good thing about Muslims, even though in the darkest corner of their mind they enjoy that gays are treated with such cruelty. I see Muslims as being somewhat 100s of years in the past.

These people wish for something in God's name, and think they speak for God and what God wants. And they will use the Bible as proof and justification, for their OWN self-purpose. Is there an example of Muslims who say they are Muslims and use the Quran for their proof and justification for something? But if God wanted gays to be wiped out or suppressed into nothingness, then we wouldn't have such good in the world that makes it more inclusive.

These people have issues with Love.

And someone who has an issue with Love, needs a Monster to focus on. If there was a 'majority' witch-hunt on gays and they were going to experience all forms of cruelty out of it, I wonder how many of the people here would tag along - but in their weakness, stand at the side and say yeh I'm not a part of this.

There have always been people with issues with Love, that's why God is important.

It's so easy for people to judge a group of people, when that group of people are not here defending themselves. They are not here because, it is isn't such a welcoming place for such people is it? Full of love.

If you want to change or inspire people to do the right thing, according to what you believe is right, you can't do it without Love. And you can't judge people and then expect them to think, yeh I'll listen to this guy, just like anyone who is judged thinks, because it is true.

People who have issues with Love, express Lovelessness. But in their need to hide that, and give a face of love, they will word it nicely. But it all comes from the same source. Them, and not from God.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

You left some of that out.

What would be interesting, is if some strict constructionist, looked at that and decided that the prohibition only applies to Congress. It was seen that wau before. The supreme court has reversed itself before.

Also, establishing a religion could very well be seen as different than the endorsement of a religion. You must remember, Americans had just fought a war against a kingdom that created a church.

These are a few questions that could be answered differently by constructionist jurist.

Theocratic countries are the worst human rights hell holes on the planet and a lot of Christians seem to want theocracy here in America

Us old traditionalist are not agreeing with Muslims nor do we condone what they do to homosexuals, and for you to suggest such is just a lie.
What we see is a nation that is quickly abandoning the values that have made it such a great nation. This is being done by a court system that has abandoned the very constitutions that Dude says he supports by placing a private interpretation on it to promote their on agenda.
I do not hate homosexuals, nor do I hate adulterers, abortionists, thieves, or any other sinners. BUT, I do hate their sin and I will not be silenced. I will loudly condemn such sins. I pray for such people. I pray they will repent and come to know the Savior. IF you truly loved them you would also pray that prayer instead of defending their right to defy God.
Just because some ungodly court rules that some perversion is legal does not make it right.
We have reached this sad state in our nation because of Christians, and some who claim to be Christians standing back and being to quite. Standing back and not loving these sinners.

As for me, I don't like them burned! I prefer my steaks medium rare. They taste much better that way, with adequate salt added!

I don't support any agenda. Also I don't support discrimination in the name of religion.
Christians have a persecution complex. They think another group me and given a right has somehow taken something away from them

It is understandable that most Christians think that homosexuality is wrong according to the scriptures. However, homosexual people do exist in great numbers in this country. Do they have rights that should be protected?
Sodomites have human rights as any person does. When they speak in rebellion to God that is not a right but a declaration of their ungodly rebellion.

I have found that sour cream is every bit as appetizing as sour milk! Just leave milk off refrigeration for 3-5 days, and it's ready!

Zi has the right idea. The only thing that sour cream and sour milk have in common is the word 'sour'. Definitely need the potato.

Well, it seems to me you are very supportive of the homosexual's agenda....
You continue to champion their rights.
Can you not see where this is leading?

Why shouldn't they have rights?
