Hebrews 10:39 wasn't enough for you?

Lack of belief isn't a sin.
The sin is all the other things they have done against God and their neighbors.

Agreed.
You asked me where Jesus the Holy Spirit must come to convict the world of its sin and that sin was unbelief in him.
That I duly did and you seem to reject it.

Yes I saw the Scottish Scenary.

Here is my favorite rendition of Amazing Grace:

Yes I have that.
Beautiful it is.

I played it at my Father in Laws funeral.
He was English so we had the English Scottish rivalry.

I got married in a kilt and his attire was that of the mad hatter.

i hope I can be able to play the bag pipes in heaven. If so I’m play the Flower of Scotland to him:rolleyes:

You think you understand those verses pretty well, so how do you interpret verse 6?
"If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:"
Do you say that you have fellowship with God, in spite of sinning against Him?
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 2:1 - My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. If Christians were sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, 100% of the time, then those verses would be superfluous.

Do you say that you have fellowship with God, in spite of saying that you have no sin, (present tense) deceiving yourself and the truth is not in you? (1 John 1:8).

1 John 1:6 - If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. Walking in darkness is descriptive of children of the devil. Walking in the light is descriptive of children of God. Only those who are saved/believers are in the light.

Acts 26:18 - to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.

2 Corinthians 6:14 - Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

Ephesians 5:8 - for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light. Children of the devil walk in darkness, not in the light. Children of God walk in the light, not in darkness. IF confirms these positions in verses 6 and 7. It's one or the other.

In 1 John 2:9, we read - He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. In vs. 11 - But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

*Compare with 1 John 3:10 - In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, (compare with 1 John 1:6 - does not practice the truth) nor is he who does not love his brother. *Notice that "walks in darkness, hates his brother" is in reference to children of the devil.

You write a lot about "self-righteousness", but what are your thoughts on "self-condemnation"?
Only when I'm dealing with someone who is self righteous. Now self-condemnation indicates that a person is condemning himself. In 1 Peter 5:8, we read that the devil is like a roaring lion going throughout the earth seeking whom he may devour. He knows how to prey on people that are prone to deep feelings of shame and guilt. This is what you find in the personality of the self-condemning person. The Holy Spirit does not convict us to torment us. He convicts us bring us to repentance and forgiveness.

1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

I noticed a deceived sinless perfectionist asked what sinner has faith....My answer is...read the bible and be open to it's truths and maybe you will figure it out and come into the light.....all who claim to be sinless are deceived, no truth and liars.........according to the bible.

A sinner who has faith------>But the centurion said, "Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed. "For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it." Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, "Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.

It seems you haven't heard of "rebirth".
Kill the old man, and be raised with Christ to walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:3-6)
A life gendered of God's seed. (1 John 3:9)
No sinner will be awarded salvation.

More ignorance from a deceived sinless perfectionist who has no truth....Salvation is not awarded for service, walk, works or standing.....it is given as a GIFT by faith.....man you have a bad day coming when you stand before the Lord...not only does your dogma fall short of being biblical, you are also spreading your false café blend dogma which has no power to save.

Would that be the "truth" that Jesus said could free me from committing sin; in John 8:32-34?

To use this scripture to legitimize a catholic false doctrine is a grave error.
To say the above about the following quoted verse proves that you are not of God.....

Against You, You only, I have sinned And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me

If I were like you, you would consider me "saved".
But because I fight for righteousness, you accuse me of deception.
Pathetic reasoning you got going on there.
No, actually you fight for nothing right, but rather spew sinless perfectionist heresy, deception and in pride refuse to acknowledge when you do sin......which has been pointed out by many....

If the verses I quoted disagree with you, perhaps you are the problem.
Jesus said..."And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." (Matt 10:22)
I'll believe Jesus, before your interpretation.

First you need to learn to use the site so as to not make people say something they did not say.....
Second you need to actually trust JESUS and be born from above and lose your deceptive, sinless perfectionists dogma....
Third....you cannot even get salvation right so no big surprise you use a verse out of context (Matthew 24) that is not even talking about the salvation of the spirit/soul......

Who cares about "life".
Death is not separation from God, if we "endure till the end".
Amen.. if Christ has begun the good work that does work in us to both will and do His good pleasure. Has he begun the good work in you our are you judging His grace and doing despite to the Spirit of grace? Christians get under the authority of it and believe. It works for them.

Phi 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Was Peter "nailed"?
He wrote..."Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;" (1 Peter 4:1)
Was John "nailed" for writing..."
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not." (1 John 5:18)
Was Paul "nailed" for writing..."
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)
How do you feel about all those self-righteous apostles?
Are they deceived too?

Jesus conquered sin while in the flesh.
You can partake of that victory by killing your old self and being reborn of Godly seed that cannot bring forth evil fruit.

Or, you can keep on defending sin?
Nobody is defending sin....so...your statement again makes you into a liar which is sin....

What we are defending is what the bible has to say about sin and the fact that NO ONE is without sin.....NOT YOU, NOT Your working for buddy Seohce........NONE........so.....keep thinking you are without sin...your false allegation in this one post that we are defending sin makes you into a deceptive liar.....just own it.....

I forgive your misunderstanding too.
Who is it that would love for you to remain in sin, the most?
The devil!
There was no misunderstanding and I do not need your forgiveness for anything...what you should do is get on your knees and get right with God and confess your sins......

Peter hadn't yet received the Holy Ghost.
The devils believe the same thing Peter did, and trembled.
You make it seem like you believe it too, so if you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, why are you defending sin?
Hasn't He done enough for you yet?
He was tortured and crucified and killed for your sins, but you continue to disobey a Savior that has provided everything we need to resist the devil.
I can't fathom that type of mind...
For the record....the bolded is one of the most ignorant statements that sinless perfectionists and a few others push........you guys can forget this type of approach....and I wish I could really say what I think about it without getting banned......

Your version of scripture changed the interpretation.
KJV..."For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"
Your wording only serves to sway the lovers of false doctrine.
Well of course we are saved by the work of Christ's faith according to his three day labor of Love .It, our new faith, the free gift is what works in the believer to both will and do His good pleasure (imputed righteousness. Where else to you think the grace of God that teaches us to say no to ungodliness comes from?

Men will do the deeds of their fathers.
Some men are reborn of God.
it is written..."He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother." (1 John 3:8-10)
No need in quoting John to prove a point....you have already proven that you reject what he has to say concerning his present tense use of WE, WE, WE and US and sin......which = you being deceived nd no truth.

Would that be the "truth" Jesus said could free us from committing sin; in John 8:32-34?
It would be the truth that you reject, deny and oppose by your false man made dogma.......and concerning the last post about him accusing you which you had to FORGIVE = SIN....

This proves you sin....you accuse of defending sin...which is false.....just another deceived sinner who thinks he is above it.....
