Very simple. If in your heart you believe the work is earning you salvation
..you're wrong

Hi Devoted I notice you are new here today.

Welcome and I look forward to getting to know you and engage with you.

If you believe that you have faith in Christ but have. O works to back it up..you're also wrong

Have faith in Christ... Stop sinning. Both go hand in hand

Thread closed.
Not sure what you mean by “Stop sinning” whether it be walking sinless or seeking God to sin less.
Also not sure what you consider sin to be.
Maybe you could clarify for me.

and the reason Jesus was born of the Holy Ghost is because if Jesus was born from Adam's seed like rest of us, he would have the same problem as all Adam's descendants, sin.
Thanks be to God for the miracle of rebirth.
We are not descendants of Adam anymore so don't have the proclivities of Adam either.

Whoa

In the Spirit yes, but in the body and soul? Renewing the mind, speaking life, etc. Those things are the works.

Also the gifts of Holy Spirit. But, that's another thread.

You have a different idea about what it means to walk as He walked, than what I see in scripture. We all who have been baptized into His body are members. So we walk in union with Him as our Head, and with other members. All together He is perfect on earth. We are not.
If you aren't perfect, you aren't walking in union with the Head.

We are crucified with Him, true, raised in His resurrection life, true, but must daily reckon these things to be so. Not so with Jesus, He was full of the godhead bodily. We all together are full of the godhead in His body.
Isn't that what faith is?
Believing?

You can't walk separated PJW. No one person has all of Him.
I agree, we can't walk separated from Christ and still call ourselves followers of Christ.
Even a little of Him is sufficient to maintain our walk in the light.

Two Kingdoms. The Kingdom of heaven where He actually dwells. The kingdom of God where He dwells within us, and He rules from a new heart that He gives. Not with a hammer by the way, but by love, truth, light, way...all the things that are revealed as to His character, and found in who He is.
He will use a hammer if necessary.
Thanks for the post.

Our church uses the name "the Church by Christ Jesus (Eph 3:21)"
It is just Christian.
It is written..."Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." (John 8:34)
Jesus said it, so it must be true.
is this your chruch

PHart if u wanna be consistent in what u are saying u need to throw out writings of Paul, because he contradicts what u say.
u say works of righteousness, he says not by our works in righteousness.

do u really have to wake up every morning and force urself to keep believing? why doesnt it come naturally? whats going on
It appears to me that he may be addicted to patting himself on the back.

I don't agree a bit.
Our way of life is always our choice.

He chose us. Then He commits to His own work of salvation, to bring us safely home.
And we grow in the grace and knowledge of the Son of God.
Please supply the verses that led you to this conclusion----or start a thread on it.

While I agree we are no more sinners, it is positional and will expand in our life, as we walk with Him, and overcome. We overcome by His blood, and by His testimony. The testimony of grace working in us, His Holy Spirit.
What do you mean "positional"?
Either you are a sinner or you aren't.

We agree with Him when He speaks for He is God and we are not. The ego is crucified in mankind with regeneration. Our mind however, is unfruitful until we know and experience.
As our whole "being" is a new creature, how can our mind be unfruitful?
It is driving our whole "self".
Your hands can't give without the mind controlling them.

WE can have head knowledge...not yet affecting our soul and body. Soul, and body is in need of salvation. Saved, Spirit, being saved, body and soul, and will be saved. Eternal life with God.
That sounds very suspicious.
Whose doctrine is that, so I can research it?

You do not understand BORN AGAIN do you PJW? IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS TO THE MORTAL BODY, BUT RATHER IT IS SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS TO THE HUMAN SPIRIT.

John 3:1-7 (HCSB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] There was a man from the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
[SUP]2 [/SUP] This man came to Him at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one could perform these signs You do unless God were with him.”
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Jesus replied, “I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
[SUP]4 [/SUP] “But how can anyone be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked Him. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born?”
[SUP]5 [/SUP] Jesus answered, “I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again.

Do you think those reborn of God's seed are only partially reborn?
Still carrying a little bit of Adam with them, alongside the Holy Spirit?
I don't.
All of my old self was killed on the cross with Christ, buried, and raised with Christ to walk in NEWNESS OF LIFE.

why does Romans 7 exist in the bible then? Paul is speaking in present tense.
The first few verses of Ro 7 clearly show that it is speaking of a former time. Verse 5..."For when we WERE in the flesh..."
The entire middle of Ro 7 is about Paul's former life as a Pharisee; trying to live the Mosaic Law, but failing. And again, a reference to the past in verse 18; (that is, in my flesh).
And the end, especially verse 23; "But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to THE LAW OF SIN which is in my members."...points again to a former time. Because....
we read in Romans 8:2...."For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from THE LAW OF SIN and death.
Why would Paul be subject to something he is free of?
If you could see the truth of Ro 7, and its proximity to Ro 6, which speaks of baptism and the death of the flesh, you would see that Paul is making the past-present transition, and Ro 8 continues on into the life walked in the Spirit.

Why then, prior to rebirth, is our "mortal body" crucified and buried with Christ before being raised with Christ to walk in newness of life?
I was completely reborn.
I'm now a new creature.
Gal 5:24 also speaks to this fact..."[FONT=&quot]And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts."

Absolutely NOT.
They don't believe we can walk without sin.
They misuse 1 John 1:8 to imply that the obedient are liars.
So so what’s your thoughts on

1 John 1:9-10
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
