Mark 14:63 Tearing his clothes, the high priest said, “What further need do we have of witnesses?
Jesus told the council that were there at Jesus' "trial" they would see him coming with the clouds of heaven.
So either Jesus lied or was wrong. I don't think so Tim....

Jesus was citing from Daniel 7 and was referring to his 'coming' to the throne of God.
Jesus was using the language of His day. compare Romans 1.8. Men then spoke of the Roman empire and surrounding nations as 'the earth, world' because they thought that way.

it means literally 'they will shepherd them with a rod of iron', indicating judgement. The rod of iron was for killing wild beasts. The parallel verse says He will smash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.,
So the high priest and council saw this did they?
And would that be going and not coming...........

It looks to me that you are saying Jesus didn't know whether he was coming or going...
Jesus seemed to know the difference:
John 14:12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go (Greek - poreuomai) to the Father.
Coming - Greek "erchomai".
