let see

He called them a brood of vipers. White washed tombs, He turned over their money tables, he used parables to expose their sinfulness,

No He di nto just let them call him out openly or in private, He did something.

yeah he et them kill him, but not without exposing the lies they told.
And there's the rub.
He was without sin.
He could judge righteously.
We cannot judge righteously while having pride and bitterness.

You will follow His behavior of getting rough with a sinner and overturning a table but you will not lay down your pride, (which is to die for the sake of your brother.) It is to give up your right to be treated well, to not revile back when reviled - not to expect better treatment or respect or honor than your Lord received.

You know....You do the exact same thing...the difference in his math and yours....your math is 1+1=still lost
dc - the funny thing is you are right. Mathematics working relative to ones reference points.
And we all have our own. That is why it helps to see the other persons reference points and share
ones perspective. Trying to just demolish them never really works, but I suppose if you get annoyed
it does vent anger. And boy do some people need to vent, lol.

Its not about forgiveness, I am sure we all forgive them,

It is what do you do to someone who comes in the name of Christ in a public roo, and continues to sin and slander people

do you ignore it, and let it go like nothing is wrong, or do you confront the person as God tells us to do people in our own churches who sin.

WOuld you allow people in your church to continue to slander others, or do something about it.
I like this analysis, but when it comes to actual application and identification of sin,
it strikes me the speak falls down. The old phrase is there is no smoke without fire
for some means create as much smoke as you can and you can imagine you have spotted
the fire, though you are just creating smoke, duhhhhhhh

I wanted to think of an illustration of temper tantrums, or you upset me.

The child lying on the floor in the star position, refusing to move and screaming their heads
off. Some love to do this into adult hood, and you dare not get close unless ofcourse
you know the drill, foam, pat down, keep calm, pacify, and bring in reality.

A classic pedantic complaint

How dare you say I am wearing a suit and tie in green. You know I only, and I mean
only wear a suit and tie in olive green, I am so insulted, you have sinned and lied against me,
slandered me and should be banned from the forum, from church, and sent straight to hell
for not accurately describing my exact beliefs, likes and dislikes, even if I have never told
anyone, you should know....

You know the amount of effort involved in getting this worked up must really drain them,
not surprised they need so many holidays, lol.

The apostles answered questions like this simply.
He who says Jesus the son of God came in the flesh, bleed and died for the forgiveness of our
sins has the Holy Spirit.
He who loves His brother and sister in Christ has the Holy Spirit.
He who does the will of God has the Holy Spirit.

He who obeys the commandments through love knows God and is a friend of God.

People are excluded from the Kingdom because of persistent willfull sinful behaviour.
So if you believe they are behaving sinfully confront them with the sin etc.

Now it appears people are saying I am slandering them. Please tell me about what?
I am told I can never walk without being in sin, that to be clean, pure and holy before
the Lord is impossible. Now think a little. If the people who say this are then told they
are being in sin, not pure and holy they are just fulfilling their own words.

If Jesus cleanses use to we are acceptable before the Father, then we are, now today.
Sin does defile us, so needs to be understood isolated and dealt with.

What is odd is how this is all, literally all the issues are about, yet it is spoken like it is a deep
mystery, and such a heinous crime. When are you guys going to be honest and truthful. If you
want to say you are sinners, walking sinfully not cleansed pure of Holy, why is it wrong to state
that as you believe it. Or is the truth the words condemn you, so you flinch so hard, you say
it is satan speaking. It is such a strange contradiction, but the light has to shine and you need
to resolve your feelings over what you believe and come clean.

I think you know by now the light is never going away and you cannot hide. Are you righteous and
holy or not? If not, then you have to let others say exactly what you are or be hypocrites. Because
you become the liars, deceivers and workers for the enemy. Maybe you hate these words so much
it will just be a diatribe, but truth never goes away, you need to resolve it, before judgement day.
John 15:20-22 Remember the words I spoke to you: ‘no servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me. IF I HAD NOT COME and spoken to them, THEY WOULD NOT BE GUILTY OF SIN. Now, however, THEY HAVE NO EXCUSE FOR THEIR SIN.

John 12:47-48 “As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.

I understand his point....it seems there are a few that consistently misrepresent what he states and or applies things that he does not believe unto him.....just saying........
Yes, I have seen that happen in here with all of us at times. But we can usually work it out and usually without slinging words like heretic, slanderer, pharisaical, lost, etc.

But EG and peter have had this longstanding feud which mucks up so many threads and makes so many miserable and unable to discuss different things they want to discuss with each other.

They have both been awful to each other at times. Eg rants aloud more and peter goes the route of more sneaky digs. They refuse to stop it though. Neither of them will disengage or ignore the other. At this point, they are both overtaken by the pride of winning the battle, and it's quite apparent to all of us that neither ever will.

It's painful to watch them harming themselves in this way and not walking in the Spirit. All the wasted time. All the peace and joy that could be both of theirs. It's extremely painful to watch.

You've been away for a bit stunned. I can tell too that it's been a good time.

It's not just two. And it really is about being against Grace7 so terrible. I think it was Dcon but maybe EG, who nailed it in another post.

Grace and tongues...are hit the hardest by the enemy.

17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a divided household falls.18 And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand?Luke 11

good to know, mans logic will fail, when he is divided, in his own understanding or logic,

4 But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor.5 For each will have to bear his own load. Galatians 6

For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life

strange thing context, even when, just reading these verses as read as wrote. they ask a simple question.

Yes, I have seen that. But if you let it drag you down into the mud, let it cause you to not speak with gentleness, let it cause you to lose control over your OWN tongue, you are no longer walking in love in the Spirit. You yourself have then become a clanging gong and will not be heard and will not help anyone and will not effect the change you wish you could. Your words are no longer with power because you are no longer speaking by the power of the Spirit in you but by your own flesh.
