Changed my mind. This is a lie. I went back and looked and this post was after you read my opening post and refuted it. Try again. It was obviously directed toward p4t who quite obviously holds the same views as I do. Stand by my misrepresentation remark.

Its not a lie, its what I gathered from what I read. One can be sincerely wrong and if I did misunderstand your stance, I apologize. I am not lying, nor was I misrepresenting you with malice.

Glad you saw that as it is definitely a lie.

It's shameful really. We have a young lady here seeking truth and he rushed in quoting heretics, fighting truth and lying to boot. That should be plenty there. I hope iamlearning sticks around and notes these things as well. Thanks bro for standing for truth. Hopefully Ben repents and the truth finds him.

I don't know all that much about open theism. Do you not believe an open theist can be one of your brethren, a saved born again child of God? Why do people feel the need to defame others as heretical to the degree they no longer are brethren when they love the same Christ as you do? Or do open theists deny Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior? I am not afraid to admit ignorance, and I had no clue who the author was to be honest. I was just giving it a read and open theism not withstanding, it was a good read on the points I read.

No. Different Jesus, different gospel. They mangle scripture. Do some research and come back and let me know if you don't come to the same conclusion.

Now, I realize you adhere to an ecumenical belief system contrary to objective truths found in scripture. I do not.

So sad. Now we are to embrace heretics as brothers instead of the biblical mandate. And if we don't we're being mean and nasty. Just more evidence that one does not really believe what Scripture says or mandates. Pure pragmatism and false teaching. Unreal.

It was simply a question, you didn't realize anything ecumenical in my belief system beyond faith in Christ. Why must you be so hard pressed to be opposed to me? Do you not like finding common ground? I am not your enemy.

Look man. I don't have any beef with you. But you are flat out wrong in the stuff you're pushing here. You abandon truth for your false idea of love. I don't hate you. I don't hate open theists. But the truth is the truth. It's hard to swallow sometimes. I oppose you because you are pushing a heretical belief system. Doesn't mean I hate you, quite the contrary, and I hope one day you realize that.

Except I didn't lie. I opened this thread, read the first post and while I was posting my response, looking for scripture and then reading that article, by the time I posted many responses already came in. If you don't mind, I don't appreciate being called a liar and you simply are making that accusation by mere speculation. That isn't my character.

You did apologize so no hard feelings on my part. But we still have to address your defense of open theism. You dunno anything about it you said, so maybe you should chill and go do some research on it before coming back.

You have this belief that just because someone claims to be a christian, no matter how much heresy they spew, they can still be counted as a brother for the sake of "love" and "unity". Not how it works. Scripture condemns them and proves they are not our brothers. You are pushing and defending open theism and don't even know what it is. Like I said, go educate yourself before saying it's okay to do that.

I didn't defend open theism. I shared an article addressing the question the OP had, on Romans 9. Yes, the article happens to be written by an open theist, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't need the belief system of open theism to make its case. It uses context. So, please, don't say I am defending open theism when I don't even know what it is hardly (beyond the little research I literally just started doing).

I find that hilarious because to many Christians your very own doctrines could be considered heresy yet they don't deem you a heretic, but simply sincerely wrong. I never said people can have a huge amount of heresy and still be a Christian. I said if they deny Christ and Him crucified, then you have reason to deem them a heretic. Don't put words in my mouth and espouse that I am defending things that I am not.

I disagree. You really really need to get sound in doctrine and put an end to misrepresenting people. You directly misrepresented me purposefully. Then you became insulting only to play victim.

That you've been hoodwinked by an Open Theist should be cause for alarm to you.

Common ground seeking = compromise of truth. Unity isn't manufactured it is to be maintained and that is only done by not compromising.
