I faced a spiritual dilemma with many meeting Jesus.
Believe Him and his purity, you have to leave what you believe behind, have new loyalties,
and a new walk.
It is always asking a lot. But who is the Jesus? Why the cross, and why is seeing the cross
our salvation?
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
John 3:14-15
So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.
Num 21:9
People were healed by just looking at the bronze serpent.
So just looking at Christ on the cross, seeing God dying for our sins is enough for
us to be healed of our sins. Seeing Christ, understanding what the cross means,
God dying a cruel death to take my guilt and sin away, without any bitterness or
remorse or ill will, freely forgiving me, is so powerful it fills up my mind and heart.
If this truth dwells in your soul, self righteousness does not exist for you.
To be there you would know.
Do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
