Tongues???

that is your opinion. The gifts of the Holy Spirit have not ceased. we are not called to distinguish between truth and false. The Holy Spirit leads us and guides us into ALL "truth" John 14, 16. We are to know the Truth. when one says I know it could be seen as " I know solely" and everyone else is in error. That is not very humble ( I'm being kind too). Biblical context with authorial intent. with the Spirit of God and studying. we are in the truth and the truth has made us free....

yes and that is because relationship and love when using the gifts context . Jesus never all those who speak in tongues or Prophesy in His name did HE? No. He said many. So that means there will be those who have used these gifts and HE Jesus will say enter in ....

if you were walking in the truth, the Spirit would be convicting you of the sin of taking the Lord's Name in vain (at the very least), as the Pentes do daily when they googoo gaga and attribute it to God

LOL those are the people who are Christians in name only with no relationship with him. that's the context of that verse, not hey if you do those things your going to hell... come on read your bible...

nah....you can do gymnastics all day long, it won't make your practices anything like the biblical gifts.
they ended, and no one alive today experiences what the disciples experienced.
how dreadful to drag down their experience (power from on high) to match the pitiful displays of today

that passage is very clear that there are people who actually did all those things:

Matthew 7
22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.’

He doesn't say they didn't do those things, He said they did.

that's not why He rejected them, he rejected them for valuing a gift over the giver. not coming to know Him on a deep personal level....
