I have just come to a conclusion on why it is difficult to find a true Christian partner and here it is. I strongly believe that it is difficult to find a true Christian partner because the population of the Christians on earth is low; I believe that a maximum of 10% of the global population are what I call seeds of God. As a Christian seed of God you are not totally on your own, it just means that you have to be more patient and you have to increase the effort you put into finding a partner.

In the past year i have had conversations with 2 people that were spiritually on my level . The others were just part time Christians, Week end Sinners, and some just flat out didn't want the Gospel . Not sure what it is but i feel your pain.

Yep I think it's because if you go talking about weird concepts like being a seed of God then even the religious nuts know you are in your own league of religious nuttiness.

I am still trying to find that true Christian woman but I have concerns about the spiritual status of my potential wife. In these end times anyone can attend church and claim to be a Christian but one can tell that these are not Christians but pagans, fornicators, cult members, demonic shapeshifters. So how will one pick a wife from such a bunch? I will rather not get married at all than to mate with a demon.
Pete,

I remember your old thread in which you brought up this point as well...

I'm not trying to sound discouraging but I think just about any woman would be afraid to go out with someone who viewed other women as demonic shapeshifters.

I'm also always curious as to "how far up" Christians seem to rate themselves... and how realistic their own standards are.

For instance, I was having a fairly interesting email exchange with a guy on a dating site several years ago, but he dismissed me as being too pagan because I use the phrase, "Happy Holidays." Sure, I say "Merry Christmas" as well, but I have many people in my life I don't see very often, so if I talk to them in November, I'm going to say Happy Holidays because I might not talk to them until after the holidays are over.

But to him, that was a particularly fatal flaw in "how Christian" I was, which I understand, but for me, it's not that big of a deal.

I also find it interesting that people express their Christian life and relationship with God in different ways. Several years ago there was a member (who is no longer here) who was very harsh in correcting other people and quoting Scriptures as a way to tell people, "I'm right, you're wrong; I take God seriously, but you just see Him as a hobby."

At one point, I asked in a thread how often and in what way people here witness to others in their daily life, and, ironically, this person said that they don't witness to people about Jesus in their everyday life because "they didn't want to offend anyone."

So that person's expression of their faith was strictly through confronting people online; others prefer witnessing in real life (I have a friend who actually loves door-to-door evangelizing.)

I could easily see each person in this case accusing the other of "not being Christian enough."

Of course, it certainly CAN be difficult to find a compatible spouse--if it were easy, we'd all be married by now--but I often wonder one of the biggest underlying problem is our own judgmental natures and impossibly high (or just different) standards.

seoulsearch: You reminded me of the old quote, "When I get to Heaven I will see someone there that I never thought would make it, and he will be just as surprised to see me there." :p

I believed it difficult to find someone a true christian but sometime we need to wait in God's time . I believed God will prepare for your real partner in your life . God bless you

LOL Motortrend everywhere. The struggle is real.
That pic actually mimics reality because all the major car mags are all owned by the same company (motor trend, car and driver, automobile, road & track).

We are all in different stages of our growth as Christians. A lot of the people we meet are also at different stages in their walk with God needing Him to work with them through various issues as He changes us. So when we set mental benchmarks and hurdles that a prospective partner has to clear before getting the nod, it pays to remember that we too need God to shape our own live so that we can BE the right person for someone else.

One other thing that comes to mind is that once we find that genuine Christian person, the search doesn't end there. There is also the question of chemistry and other factors as well. You may meet a person that is so into the Lord that the chariot that took Enoch and Elijah to heaven alive, may to on its way down to pick them up. However if they can't connect with you and the chemistry isn't right then their genuine faith (as vital as it is) won't be enough.
