parts of your comment seems to negate other parts........ Maybe you can show me where someone said you should be ashamed to be an American for voting for EITHER of the Candidates? I missed that comment........
There is a HUGE difference between being an American and being a Christian. Mayhaps you can understand that.
Now, as for being a "fake" Christian for voting for Trump............. OR ............. for voting for Clinton, I don't consider people "fake" Christians for doing so........but, I surely believe that in my opinion, and from what I read in Scripture, such people who willingly chose to set aside their Christian Values in favor of Political Ideology "left their first love."
How this will play out is between them and God.......and that is how it should be. Again, in my opinion, when ANY Believer willingly "leaves their Faith at the door" when they go to the Polling Station to vote, are not honoring or obeying the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Putting Political Ideology AHEAD of God is no different than putting ANY OTHER secular thing/person ahead of God. It is DIRECTLY against the teachings of Christ Himself.
Now, I understand that Believers have a zillion ways to justify their actions.............but...........then............unbelievers have a zillion ways to justify their unbelief. Neither will matter on the day of Atonement.
Believing that Trump .......... or Clinton ......... is the "one that will save" America, is to disavow God in my opinion. And, for those who rush to say that God "chose" Trump do so without realizing that God WILL give believers what they cry out, bemoan, and wring their hands for...........at times, He will do this. People who want to try and justify ANY Election outcome as being the will of God need desperately to read with understanding the "Life and Times of King Saul."
Now, all this being said, if any believer is willing to stand before God (which one day they will surely do) and answer for their Political Ideologies and decisions as to whom they voted for..........well, that's between them and God.
As for me and my House, we WILL NOT surrender our Faith, our Values, for the purpose of Political Ideology.
And, you might read some of the threads that say I (folks who believe as I do) were accused of being "fake" Christians. Don't see you correcting those who made THOSE CHARGES against us.

I voted Trump and saw people saw some here criticizing but not many. My statement was made more in general not just limited to this site but to all of social media. In this chat I didn't defend because people already did so I just stayed out but I felt I needed to say this because I felt it boiling inside me this whole day

must pick and choose between the 'lessor of two evils', we say, may Jesus have mercy upon them...
even though their votes mean absolutely nothing in satan's scheme, he will get his way, according
to how those who ignore God's Commands and follow the world's wicked ways...

Speaking of standing up for your convictions Tourist & I went to see the movie Hacksaw Ridge that Mel Gibson directed about the true life of CO Desmond Doss who was a medic....it was bloody but good message in it for standing up for your convictions and his belief in God. I thought it was a great movie. Date day with my honey as we went to an early matinee....
Mailman.............. I watched some of the coverage of the protests in NYC, outside of Trump Towers, and what struck me was the outright HUMOR that, apparently, only I saw in what was going on......
There were LGBT's protesting........shouting........... GAY LIVES MATTER!
There were the BLM folks protesting........shouting........... BLACK LIVES MATTER!
AND..............AND...............AND............. (wait for it) ............... AND .........
PLANNED PARENTHOOD WERE RIGHT THERE WITH THEM protesting to PROTECT ABORTION RIGHTS!
(guess I'm the only one who saw the humor and outright hypocrisy in that)

I knew this was coming. Trump won, get over it! I did not vote for Obama, but he was elected for two terms and you did not see me protesting, starting a riot or getting arrested. I am really sick of our divided society!

People want unity and peace but then I see them burning the American Flag and causing violence. Yet Trump supporters are the bad guys here.
