Guys. I bought fall riding boots. I don't know if that was a good bet or not. Do you think it would be useful in winter (functional or fashionable)? Let me know in case I should return it.

I have no idea how to dress for the climate here (which is cold). I end up looking at the people around me and making assumptions based on what they wear.

I may just end up keeping it because it is fashionable but it's still not something that I am absolutely in love with. I bought ankle boots which I always adore and already own a pair, but the riding boots are something that I am on the fence about..

Here's how it looks like -

I love tall boots, but probably not for the same reasons most people do...
Military, riding, punk... I like them all.
1. They look cool/intimidating. When you're walking around Dallas in the evening, looking like you could kick the crud out of someone is an advantage

2. Snakes. Where I live, you don't want a venomous snake sinking its teeth into you. High boots with legit leather are the answer.

3. Warmer in cold weather. No snow in your shoes, if relevant. Also, puddle splashing!!

4. TMI, I know, but no one can tell if you've shaved your legs that day.

5. While some boots age badly, some boots look better at 2 years old than they did the day you bought them. My Italian suede boots were pricey, but they've lasted forever, much longer than cheap boots, and still look totally cool with the now aged, beat up suede. You can't say that for most boots, much less shoes...

6. Boot daggers. Duh.

This is a thing of beauty. I had tacos today, and it wasn't on purpose. I found out about National Taco Day after I had tacos for lunch. It's almost like, the taco force called to me..."Hey...pssst...woman....taaaacccooooss."

Haven't had one in YEARS?!!?! (???!?!!!?!?!?!!!)

I had one just last week. Go to a convenience store and remedy this deficiency. Just pick one, all convenience stores have them these days.

I am pretty sure I've never had a choco taco, ever. Are they really that good? I don't have the body of a lynx though...don't know if I can take on those calories. :)

A Choco-taco would only take about 30 minutes of silly white-girl car disco to burn off the calories.

Choco-taco and car disco. Win-win. I prefer singing over bouncing around, but there's nothing wrong with other people doing it.

(And if the right song comes on the radio you need be neither silly, white nor a girl to indulge in a bit of car disco.)

I know I joked about it in my previous post but my weight is a real struggle. Eating one of those things isn't a luxury I get to have. I gained weight as a child for...multiple reasons I won't state here, in the public forum. I've struggled ever since. I've lost 40lbs over this year but still have more to go. My goal is health though. I don't really have goal weight. My birthday is coming up...I suppose I could splurge on that day. :)

Oh and YIG...I don't do silly white girl car disco. (For a serious workout) I do circuit training. ;)

I definitely sing more than dance in the car...DEFINITELY. I look like a total idiot when I drive and I really don't care. That being said, if my mouth is full of that choco taco...let's be real...singing should not be an option. Haha.

You would be discoing or singing after eating, not during. But disco would burn more calories...

Of course they are not mutually exclusive. :D

You've put together a good plan here. Maybe you should plan all of my eating, singing, dancing car rides. ;)

So, is the choco taco that delish? I'm thinking Godiva chocolate cheesecake might be the way I go for my birthday treat. It's...so amazing. Like...heaven in the mouth.

Oh no no, it's nothing like that. A choco-taco is a treat in the frozen bin at the convenience store, with the other ice cream bars. It's a waffle cone in a taco shell shape, with fudge ripple ice cream inside and a chocolate shell over the top of the taco. It's not an incredible, life changing experience, but it's a nice treat to stop for on the way home from work.

It's better than a klondike bar.

If they are as tight- fitting as they look they will be cold.

Heat comes form insulation, by trapping air between layers.

So it's better with something that has room for fluffyness inside :p
