Unfortunately my work does not play the Christmas classics, it instead plays new "Christmas" songs by random pop stars. These songs usually dont even have anything to do with Christmas btw, theyre usually the same freaking songs about how fun it is to date someone but now with bells and the word Christmas thrown in every now and then. I really hate the Christmas music they play at work : p

Honestly, I think Id really enjoy it if they played the old classics, and like the instrumental songs. I usually really like those songs during the season. I dunno who came up with the idea to remove those and just play the same freaking songs but with bells : p

Ah yes, the bombardment of Christmas. The yearly social programming to get you to spend money. Christmas decorations were out in full force on the shelves of the local Wal-Mart near the middle of last month. I haven't yet heard a Christmas song on the radio, but as soon as I do, I'll do like I do every year and just turn it off and go into media blackout until after the first of the year.
Grinch? Me? Yes. I don't like being told how to feel, what to care about, how to spend what few dollars I earn, and I certainly don't like hearing it over and over and over for months on end all for one silly day on the calendar.

Kim, I m glad to hear your mom is fine. The summer I was thirty three I passed out on a ferry coming back to the mainland shortly after the ferry started, and they turned it around to take me off it
When I saw my doctor to try to find out what happened (why did I pass out?) she simply said that I was now at an age when these sorts of things would happen to me. What kind of an answer was that??? Doctors are so pathetic.
What had happened actually is that my blood pressure dropped and I passed out because my brain needed oxygen which it was not getting until I slid down the nearest wall and laid down on the floor after losing consciousness. The hot weather and bottle of wine may have had something to do with it, too
At one point I was in that state where I was aware of everything that was going on around me but was unable to respond. All told it was a very interesting experience, though it has never happened again since

Hmm. On your previous post it was a blanket complaint about how CC does so little about about these kinds of behaviors. Now suddenly you do a 180 and talk about how good they are about it.
You made a complaint against a mod then later change your story. I see nothing wrong with questioning why you flip flop on your attitudes so quickly.
And I'm aware of how my description of CC sounded. Not the first time I've said it.

Honestly, so she was upset and ranted about it in Streams and the mod contacted her and explained why he wasn't able to help. Now she's okay with it.
I don't see anything wrong with that. I rather see wrong with your questioning her about it. But that's just me.

After this scene she says "two weeks later we spoke again 'it's raining'" Funny thing is that exactly two weeks after Oct. 3 is Oct. 17...which is my birthday. I always thought that was neat!

Lol same here, then people automatically ask "are you religious" b/c I'm an Indian lol and most indians are hindus who don't eat meat....to which I have to explain that I am not hindu, I love meat, but I hate pork/pig b/c I feel nauseated afterwards and hate the smell as well..... not to mention once you study microbiology and see what's "in the pork" you lose your appetite....
