As usual you take a little bit of truth and then take it to a place were it ceases to be truth. Imputed righteousness IS the reality that Christians walk in. The good we do is ALL derived from Him, or it isn't good.....there is no such thing as good independent of the One who alone is good. Which is why we Christians give the credit for any good we do to the One it rightfully belongs to, Jesus, and don't try to take credit for it ourselves.

Because us humans (by force of habit) are so deeply set on seeing with our eyes alone., we can't imagine something actually happened at the time of our salvation. An actual transaction took place. A new creation was born. But this is seen only with the eyes of faith. And then., after taking that step of faith., it is THEN we will see it and believe it. The eyes of faith begin to see and the more we use this "faith" the more we will be able to see.
The way we live now as new creations is we believe "first" AND THEN AND ONLY THEN will we SEE.
Remember., our old manner of life is first we see - then we believe. Now as new creations., we believe - and then we see. God's ways are contrary to man's ways. Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

This is why our minds must be daily renewed in the knowledge of Christ. We need this daily renewal because we are so prone to wander back into our old manner of life. It is by faith we press on (not sight) Thank You Jesus!
Some people need to put a label on others in order to discredit what they are saying. There are some people here that do not believe in the new creation in Christ nor that Christ gives us as a gift righteousness.
Instead they say you have to "do deeds of righteousness" in order to be worthy enough to go to heaven with the Lord.
So, they need to discredit the person in the OP because they can't refute the scriptures that do say we have a new creation in Christ - that is created in righteousness and holiness.

Would it not be right to say that those who are BORN of the spirit, are LED by the spirit
Did John get it wrong? He said those who receive God in faith are born of God.
John 1:

John and Paul must agree.. correct?
For a man who screams when someone says he teaches works, You sure do love to preach works..

The only one using the term "even if one lives like the devil" is you. No one who has even a small grasp of the true meaning of grace would ever advocate living like the devil. The devil is our enemy.,he hates us and wants to see us fail. And what the devil seeks totally goes against our new nature in Christ. You misrepresent believers every time here with your Gnostic religious teachings.
Rather, IF they truly are born of God's Holy Spirit then their words and actions would confirm they truly are sons of God, unless of course they are reprobate. That is why Paul said "prove your own selves". 
Again you take one scripture out of it's context and then you "add" onto it. You have already been showed dozens of times that believers become children of God from birth and being in Christ.
Do you become an "un-son" because you don't listen to your mother all the time?
Let's look at Romans 8:14 "in context". The verses before that were saying that we are in Christ because of the Holy Spirit inside of us. This verse simply is saying that all sons of God are being led by the Holy Spirit in their lives.
First, there are varying degrees of being led by the Holy Spirit. No believers are following the leading of the Lord as much as they could be, and if an absolute standard was applied to this verse, no believers would qualify to be sons of God.
With this in mind, believers have been led by the Spirit to some degree in making Jesus their Lord, if nothing else.
Second, being led by the Spirit does not cause people to be sons of God, but being sons of God causes them to be led by the Spirit.
All believers do have the Spirit of God to lead them, but that doesn’t mean all believers heed His leading
In context, Paul had just spoken about denying the flesh through the power and leading of the Holy Spirit. Here he was simply pointing out that all Christians have the leading of the Holy Spirit available to them to accomplish this.

It really seems to me as the months go by here and HRFTD posts., he is obsessed with the Gnostics and their teaching. And he seems to continually have a difficult time seeing anything done in the Spirit as being anything but "Gnostic" Because he keeps upholding Gnosticism, he misses the truth of grace and the new birth in Christ. Those of us who uphold the gospel that Jesus brought of grace and truth are somehow confused with this Gnostic thing he has laid hold of. He needs to lay hold of Christ and put off this other manner of a belief system.
When I first came to these forums I spoke out against ongoing sin in those who claimed to be "in Christ" and was constantly attacked for preaching one can in fact truly be set free from ongoing sin by faith in Jesus Christ. The mob rule of OSAS followers at the time confessed they sinned every day, and that sin cannot effect their eternal security. Many of the hyper grace camp had at first confessed to the same, even to willful sin, though Jesus said those who commit sin are a servant of sin, and a servant of sin abides not in the house forever.
Now we have many of the same group now saying they believe are new creations in Christ, so something is amiss here. Either you have been born again and made a new creation in Christ, AND SET FREE FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN, or you have not.
Imagining yourself as being "in Christ" and set free from sin, WHEN YOU ARE NOT, is just self justification and wishful thinking. Prove your own selves if Christ is truly in you.
