Attitude, and some actions, were quite important to me, even as late in life as my thirties and forties. I once dated a girl who turned back to a table and added money to a 20% tip I had left at a breakfast diner. We broke up soon after that.

Lol that was a bad attitude? Dutch guys love it when you pay half or all. I went on a date. He started to talk about how life was so expensive these days and he had plenty. I said: I'll pay half of 2 pizza's worth 20 euro. He was so grateful.

I guess I'm old fashioned that way (I KNOW I am!) To me, that is an insult, insinuating I am cheap. Same as not waiting for me to open a door, or pull out her chair.

Nice same here! I used to do impersonations with my pals in high school. Especially during lunch time lol. We even got his walking pattern down and little diatribes he gave to his 12 yr old pal "boy here's my books boy carry them they'll serve you well." where he hands over his books bundled with a belt lol unforgettable scene....
I was into looks when I was younger. I was shallow. I would go for woman who were far above me in the looks department. i was married by my mid forties, but even if I wasn't I did not consider looks nearly as important. Although to this day I find woman with short hair unattractive, no matter how beautiful they may actually be.
Unfortunately, for years I was attracted to the real life Billy Bob Thornton types, bad attitude and all.
When I met my husband, he was a tough guy like that, too... a biker, a rock musician, awesome voice, and sooo handsome.... except he was about 300 lbs. I'm tall, slender and was always into fitness, so at first I wasn't attracted to such a big man. But my cold shoulder didn't stop him from pursuing me. He had a totally awesome sense of humor and made me laugh my head off. So I finally agreed to go on a date with him. He turned the music on in his car and cranked "Crazy Diamond" (Pink Floyd) up and then looked at me with the most intense stare I ever saw. That was it. He was the most attractive man in the world to me and I fell crazy in love with him.

My Dad was the same way. I have seen a photo of him when he and my mother dated. He was standing at the front of his brand new Chrysler, with his foot up on the bumper, brandishing a revolver, Bonnie & Clyde style. Nosing around his garage, I found a switchblade knife and a set of brass knuckles. (Explains a lot of my own propensities for violence.)
For me physical attraction is important but not the most important. What is of highest importance is what is in her heart and her and her spiritual relationship with God. You are definitely not evil for you personal preference.
I thinks its unnecicary. Many people were just friends hanging out and later start to feel something because of personality and behaviour. I dont judge a book by its cover... And neither should you.
