You honestly don't see the association? Really?

Why do you think there are so relatively few terrorists attacks on American soil? Are you naïve enough to think that our MIB are asking people nicely to tell us what their groups are planning? No way. More torture and threats against their family members are going on all the time than you could possibly even imagine.
I understand what you are saying. I appreciate your honesty. It shows A Lot of character that you do struggle with these things.
What I believe is, if we start torturing these terrorists or suspected terrorists and targeting their families as part of a New governmental policy, we will soon become a nation who gets these terrorist attacks weekly instead of every some years.

I assume you have to be a little smarter than to think that Bernie will keep his promises any better than Barry has.
congress still makes the laws. these are just the things that a Sanders white house would pressure them towards.

that is, once Obama is out of office, and if a Republican were to be elected, or the GOP were to lose control of congress, they might start making laws & setting budgets again.. oh, nevermind, you know what i mean.

:p

The same way I did whether I was making $1.40 an hour, or 2m a year, by using their own money that THEY earned.
Sure hope they earned some of those money themselves.

You liberals seem to have no problem forgetting that is THEIR money, not yours. Go earn your own if you feel you don't have enough, and have to take from them to be happy.

You sure didn't give it to them, did you? And you shouldn't have. No more than they should be required to give to you.

I'm not a liberal and I have a lot of problems with the gov spending my money...but the problem ain't whether it's 25,33 or 50%...it's what they are taxing.

Personally I think the only reason we aren't getting them now is that they know we would come at them with a vengeance unlike anything they've have ever seen before. They are biding their time waiting for us to be weakened even further.

are you against being taxed at all? it's constitutional.
i don't mind paying high tax, if i see the benefit from it. i don't even mind if my taxes help those who are poorer than me. what i do mind, is paying high tax, so the rich can get richer, and mutli-billion dollar corporations can get subsidized.
I am actually very much for a flat tax. The poorer would pay a very small number of dollars, and the rich would still carry the nation.

And if the liberal doves have their way, that will be in a very few short years. Military Strength is an absolute necessity.

Wait..... do you honestly think the people making over 10 million dollars a year are making that money all by themselves? No, they are making that on the backs of probably thousands of lower wage paid people. The Lower and Middle class they employ! So if they pay their employees higher wages, then their employees Will pay more in taxes then they do now, which means the lower & middle class will be giving the government more money to pay for health care and such, and they Won't mind because they'll be able to afford it! ( I know we weren't talking about raising minimum wage, but you see it does tie in!)

It isn't for you to determine what other people earn and what is enough. Those people took the risk to build a business and it is their reward to reap and to manage it how they see fit and hire who they see fit and pay them for the task they perform how they see fit. Your kind of thinking is the exact reason why I fired two of my employees.....because it was never enough and their minds were filled with this same poison.

A lesson in economics using beer
Here's another one of those spam emails that say something cute, or important, or idiotic. I enjoyed this one, it explains in simple terms the injustice of the graduated tax system. I'm sure some people will complain that it oversimplifies and that the analogy breaks down or doesn't fit, but I think its simple presentation fits VERY well. Graduated taxes penalize the successful, and that is essentially unjust. When we all get a tax reduction, it is entirely fair that those who PAID more get a bigger benefit from cuts. Those who argue otherwise are using Marxist ethics which are BANKRUPT and ethically and morally WRONG. You know, wicked, evil, bad for humanity. Really.
--------------------------
Suppose that every day, 10 men go out for beer and the bill for all 10 comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first 4 men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that's what they decided to do. The 10 men drank in the bar every day & seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. 'Since you are all such good customers, he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20. Drinks for the 10 now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first 4 men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other 6 men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?' They realized that $20 divided by 6 is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man & the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, & he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so:
The fifth man, like the first 4, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now paid $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the 6 was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.

'I only got a dollar out of the $20', declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,' but he got $10!'

'Yeah, that's right', exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got 10 times more than me!'

'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. Why should he get $10 back when I got only 2? The wealthy get all the breaks!'

'Wait a minute,' yelled the first 4 men in unison. 'We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!'

The 9 men surrounded the tenth and beat him up. The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the 9 sat down & had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even 1/2 of the bill!

That, boys & girls, journalists & college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy & they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

If a person wants to be wealthy then get after it. But don't blame someone who is for the reason that you're not. This is as upside down as it gets.
