Catholics hate the Masons. Wonder if he is catholic.
There are catholic sites that have the exact same talking points as DP.
They attack us PERSONALLY and lie about how we are duped by "false teachers"
Then they go on to name them and slime them etc, etc.

Still don't see why that has anything to do with anything.

If I'm to assume you don't know what the Masonic Lodge teaches its members about religion, then I have to say this to you again:

They treat all... religions as reaching the SAME goal. If you are a Christian you should know there's something terribly wrong with that issue, because there is only ONE WAY of Salvation, and that is through the Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Only Christianity has the doctrine of God The Saviour Jesus Christ having been born in the flesh through woman's womb to die on the cross to offer all men His Salvation through the remission of sins by Faith on Him. No other religion in the world has that doctrine that only through the Blood of Jesus Christ can we inherit God's Salvation.

Sounds like a mason talking, which of course the Catholic Church (which I am not a member of) did slander the fraternity of masons per history, and even had their Knights Templar leader executed and the rest of the members banned, for heresy against Christ Jesus. That heresy is still going on today.

I was on another message forum. I started making arguments and the Catholics started calling me names and wanted my real name and I told them it isn't safe to post your name on the internet and I told them they should post their name, address, social security number and phone number online if they weren't scared. The messages towards me were ad hominem and they wanted to attack me. It is very scary for people claiming to be Catholic to verbally call people names the way they were calling me names.

My dad was a Mason and I didn't see any of these Characteristics. He actually ran from church but he did note that the Masons prayed in Jesus' name so he felt we shouldn't be afraid.

Southern Baptists actually tried to get rid of Masons in their midsts and if the problem was as you said, I think I would have heard more about it but they couldn't get rid of Masons so I think you are making them more of a bogeyman because you have fear.

Sounds like you both are... suggesting association with the Masonic Lodge by your attitudes here thus far.

Have you guys had your dark night of the soul secret initiation yet???

I'm not interested in Masonry. I actually have Christian books against Masonry but if you were a Christian, you are to love your enemy and love other people and not attack me for what I'm not.

Most of the lower membership doesn't have a clue of what it's really about, just as it is with other initiate fraternities. For the lower members, it's more of a social club thing. Read John Robison's 1798 book Proofs Of A Conspiracy if you want to understand what all it's really about. Or don't read it, I don't care one way or the other.

I'm just returning the favor brother. When you're ready to talk sense, so am I.

I had a book that had a cross and crown on it and some ignorant Christian told me they were Masonic symbols. I thought about it and Gays have stolen God's rainbow so they now own the rainbow so anyone can say that rainbows = gay movement. But the fact that I can't control what other people do with symbols doesn't mean they own the symbols.

I have a book with a cross and crown on it. The cross is the dispensation where Jesus went to the cross and the Crown is dispensation that Jesus picks up his crown and becomes King. See how evil the Bible is with these supposed Masonic Symbols? Your kind tries to scare people and it means nothing so I'm calling your bluff.

Here's something to ponder for you folks on John Darby's pre-trib rapture doctrine in 1830's Great Britain, for he was the one who first promoted it in the Churches, along with C.I. Scofield with his publishing of his study Bible. Darby was also the founder of the group called The Plymouth Brethren. This is why I bring up the masonic issue:

John Nelson Darby: Closet Theosophist?

So masonry is nothing more than about secret symbols in your opinion?

If you really want to get into it, research about the ancient pagan "mystery schools". That's who those initiate fraternities ultimately claim their philosophical ancestry from. Here's another one associated with them. Read their Mastery Of Life pamphlet free offer and then see for yourself what those initiate fraternities are about:

https://www.rosicrucian.org/

The closest relation those fraternities have with Christianity is the old movement of Greek Gnosticism which many of them took Christian doctrine and mixed it with the old "mystery school" pagan traditions. The early Church fathers pronounced their doctrines as heretical and against Christ. One of the things they deny is that Jesus died on the cross. They instead teach that His disciples took His body down off the cross before He died. Later of their ideas, like the Da Vinci Code writer, was that Jesus married Mary Magdalen and they had offspring.

My dad didn't worship Satan or some occult religion when he was at home so. I see your point as moot.

DP,

You are in error regarding John Darby as the one who invented the Pre-trib belief and that because I can read it in the word of God for myself. I've personally have never read anything by John Darby and formed my understanding of the timing of our being gathered by the Lord by reading scripture. I did not come to my conclusion from the teachings of anyone else, but by my own personal studies. It is typical for those who attempt to discredit those who believe that Christ will gather his church prior to the first seal being broken by claiming that they are followers of someone else and frankly, I'm tired of that assumption. So for the record, now pay attention, I have never read anything by Darby, neither have I read anything by Calvin. My scriptural conclusions come specifically from the word of God. You have no right to make that claim! You're not here every day when I'm sitting her pouring over scripture, looking up the Hebrew and the Greek and cross referencing scriptures. Furthermore, if John Darby came to the same conclusion regarding the gathering of the church prior to the commencement of that last seven year period, then he just understood the same truth that I have found in God's word to support that conclusion. It doesn't mean that we are followers of Darby or anyone else just because God revealed the same truth to us. Man, I hate labeling!

We're agreed except for maybe labeling.

Don't worry, I've got relatives that were members too. But I'm not going to hide the fact of what it's actually about, even for the sake of those deceived in it.

And you were raised in what kind of Church organization? and have attended what?

Don't worry, I don't disagree with everything the pre-trib rapture Churches teach. I only disagree with their acceptance of John Darby's 1830's secret pre-trib rapture teaching, which is where they got it from. That's why through previous Church history prior to the 1800's, that doctrine cannot be found having been taught in any Christian Church, which has even been admitted to by pre-trib scholars.

Yes there are.

Typical non biblical rabbit trail answer and response. Postrib rapture workbook silliness.

I guess it is a blessing since when you do mishandle the bible it is to your own demise.

Thats funny coming from a guy that has no link to ANY MINISTRY with your teaching that the rapture happens after the millennium.

Red flags galore,as you are the only humanoid on the planet with "your special revelation"

still waiting for a link
