I believe you say the seventh day was opened but never closed in post 503.

Again....scripture mentions this, not me.

I don't think the story uses the word "opened" but I deal with the implication that the seventh day was.

Yawm six was closed.

Then yawm seven is mentioned.

Its a sequence, as anyone can see...what part of this are you missing...?

Speak to scripture.

No one cares about what your personal, unreferenced 'take' on it is...

I believe I am speaking to scripture.
anytime anything written is read, interpretations and images are formed in the mind of the reader.
I'm sharing mine.

I believe you care, at least on some level, because you keep reading and responding to my posts.

I think that's not a strong argument... the scripture doesn't say whether it ended or not.

What comes AFTER the number six?

Even a child can count.

When one number ends...another begins...

If number seven had ended....where is eight in scripture?

I'm trying to remember... we know eve was formed, does it say when she died? or cain?
I wouldn't construe that to mean they are still living.

Scripture doesn't deny that Jesus rode a Harley, either...so we should think that He did?

I think the story ends in the middle of day seven, so that day's end isn't mentioned.

Speak to scripture, or admit you have nothing.

You already amply expressed your lack of interest in scripture by pathetically claiming that it would 'take up too much precious bandwidth' on this forum.

What do you think we do on this forum in the first place?

What a joke...

I think you do mention it here
Please tell us, if each 'Day' is supposedly 24hrs in length....And each day was opened and closed....why is it that 'Day 7' was Opened but NEVER closed?

I don't think that's a quote from the passage, so I would say that's you mentioning it.

Pretty basic and straightforward....unless you are a YEC in denial, of course...
No one cares about what your personal, unreferenced 'take' on it is...

Colossians 4:6 "Let your speech always be with grace..."
2 Timothy 2:24-5 "The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition..."

Bowman, why do you continue to make snarky, unnecessary comments like those above? Why do you call yourself a Christian, study the Bible, and not do what it says? Comments like those do nothing for your position; even though you occasionally make some good points, the package in which they come makes them like ripe apples dipped in dung. If you honestly think that you have the truth on the matter of the earth's age, then take the position and attitude which Paul advocates to Timothy.

Unless, of course, you aren't really a Christian.

I agree that the seventh day was opened.
I disagree that the text is translatable as 'the seventh day was opened', but I agree the implication is there.

in your view, when were the days opened? in the morning? evening? other?

as I read it, the story ends before the end of the seventh day.

Why is your avatar a red car?

This car must mean a lot to you, and you must be worshiping it.

Oh. Wait. Is this that thing where, instead of directly facing the things said about us, we deflect it and try and put the attention on the other person by making things up to make them look bad?

Again...

If one numbered yawn is stated as completed, and another sequentially numbered yawm is mentioned immediately afterward, then another number has been opened.

Its really simple to understand.

I'm surprised that you are having issues with it.

you put the phrase in quotes, but I don't believe that's a direct quote. I don't remember using the word 'precious'.
but certainly, any amount of waste is non-positive, imo.
but sure, a better reason is to encourage people to look up passages on their own, in a translation they trust.

What do you think we do on this forum in the first place?

share thoughts and ideas.
as an english-language-based medium, that's all we can do, imo.

What a joke...

you don't have to keep reading and responding to my posts.
it's completely ok with me if you want to stop responding.

Dino only said "unless"... "Unless, of course, you aren't really a Christian."

it wouldn't bother me if someone said that to me... actually, I think many people have!

yes, I agree that the seventh day is opened in the story.

I don't think there's a set of words in the text that is reasonably translatable as 'the seventh day was opened'.

Posting scripture is NEVER a waste of time.

You could have posted legions of verses in the text that you have already used in making up excuses why you can't.

Its like pulling teeth.

Now that you agree that the seventh yawm was opened, in scripture....show us where, in scripture, that it was closed.

Simple.
