If you mean Kasich, how can you fault him for taking money for Medicaid? That's money promised to the people, the citizens, particularly the poor and the elderly to which they were long entitled before Obamacare, lol before us even. Government can be used to help the vulnerable and create stability. In Christianity government can be good, but it's true, governments can go pretty bad too.

If you mean Trump, lol Trump doesn't support Obama on about anything. Trump thinks Obama was born in Kenya lol.

1. There is a difference between rollback, maintenance, and expansion. He chose to expand along Obama administration parameters that nobody can afford.

2. Trump has argued for repealing Obamacare and replacing it with something worse (i.e. single-payer). He is effectively an advocate for socialized medicine.

Not so. Kasich was able to take the money, money owed and entitled to the citizens, not given from Obama, and craft it unique to Ohio and both cut costs and make it more available to the disadvantaged.

Trump has said a lot of things lol, he just wants to take out Obamacare, to replace it be up to ideally a GOP Senate and House which ensures no socialist medicine no matter what Trump thinks.

I do not understand you, GIS. You let the "natural born citizen" thing snag Cruz, but you are willing to hand someone executive power well beyond Article II.
 
I mean literally shatter Article II.

Seriously, if we are going to reduce everything to pseudo-monarchy, would it not follow that a foreigner could run our country. England didn't have an English speaking monarch for 320 consecutive years.

So if you want to completely butcher Article II and hand it to Trump, it would make sense to recognize Cruz as a claimant regardless.

Lol this is a good point Sir Desdichado and I anticipated it for some time now.

Firstly, indeed, I have little respect for the Constitution and I assert I am in no ways bound it whatsoever. For the king is not bound to the law of the slaves. Nevertheless Cruz likens himself as a staunch more-constitutional-than-thou politician. As you know I am a big fan of irony, so it tickles my humor the fact that Cruz claims to be the most hardcore constitutionalist and yet the very document he reveres so much expressly forbids Cruz from ever being president. It's just too much humor for me.

Secondly, you misinterpret my view of monarchy somewhat. I would not make Trump or any politician into an autocrat. Rather American style monarchy seems to me that I am the king, and so are all citizens based upon either their own assertion or by another self-aware American king recognizing their status. I'd term it something of a poly-monarchy. Now despite the arrograncy sounding of that, I am quite self aware by secular modes I am one of the least of the kings of America as I am not rich, not famous, and not handsome lol. Trump being uber-wealthy and uber-famous is one of the biggest kings in America. For Trump to become president is to put him in bonds, and would actually demote him from king to servant. Thus the central argument for and against Trump. Will Trump try to usurp me and declare himself dictator ala Caesar style, or is Trump actually the ideal man for the job since he is the candidate that most reflects my political views and thus be the most representative of the people?

As for the last question in regards to foreign-born kings. President is not a position of kingship. President is a position of servitude. As where the citizen is the monarch, the president is something of a viceroy. So it makes perfect sense to forbid foreigners from serving as our viceroy to try to get ideally a servant that is more loyal to us and to maintain order amongst the public lest the unwashed masses tear themselves apart.
 
Well fellow CC GOP watchers its time for another primary night. Will be interesting to see the results from SC. Trump is expected to win and Cruz is expected to do well enough to stay in.

The main interest for me on this race is how well Rubio and Bush will do. Rubio gained a number of key SC GOP endorsements, including Nikki Haley, and is looking for something of a redemption after his disappointment in NH. Bush has also been campaigning hard in SC and really needs a strong Top 3 finish to refurbish his campaign.

Finally my servant Kasich is not expected to do well, but nonetheless he has put in some groundwork in SC and has had fairly good debate and town hall performances in the mainstream media. Will be interesting to see how well Kasich does and if he might get a fair enough showing to keep his Christian underdog campaign afloat to Super Tuesday and the Great Lakes races.

I had a chance to hear Kasich this morning. I like what I heard. I also like the way he interacted with a small crowd.

Yea Kasich's main campaign style has been the pretty traditional shoe-to-pavement approach. Kasich is a smart man and I believe a strong example of Christian governance. When he first ran as governor I was unsure on him as the GOP and Dems had both epicly failed Ohio back-to-back and laid the state to waste with their gross incompetence. Kasich surprised me though, he fixed this place up fast, way faster than I had even thought was possible. In just one term Ohio went from one of the worst performing states in just about everything to one of the top echelon. Not even just on paper, you could see the results manifesting tangibly in real life, for instance he got the repair projects that languished for years under Strickland moving again and even completed them quickly. That's why I have to favor Kasich, he gets results. I like his politicking and rhetoric, but Kasich's real strength in my opinion, is that he gets real tangible results. It's just kinda hard I suppose for him to convey that on the stump.
 
Pulling for Cruz and Trump to top the polls...hoping at least Bush will understand he cannot win and drop out.
