I think Cruz did pretty poorly, really showed how much of a snake he is. I liked how Trump stumped the crap out of him. I think Trump is done playing with him after the amount of perfidy the natural born Canadian has displayed.
Proof positive of how worthless modern debates typically are in determining the course of an election. People who watch debates typically do so favoring one candidate.
Incidentally, I do not think Trump lost that much support if any in wake of his refusal to attend the Fox debate.
What does matter during debates is the cardinal rule of life- don't mess up. You have no one to beat or lose to but yourself.

I disagree I think that shows the importance of the debates all the more. Not only did Trump skipping the debate probably shave his lead down enough for Cruz's snake tactic against Carson to bump him into the win, but notice that Rubio and Cruz placed high in Iowa following that debate where both of them were pretty much the main attraction. Just like traditional retail politics is no guarantor of victory it does help in some ways also as seen with Carson's 4th place finish in Iowa despite fairly bad debate performances. It's true that victory doesn't rest on the debates alone, or any one factor alone, but they do matter when taken as a whole.

I've all ready said we'll let Cruz stay in the Senate, but come on he got absolutely Trump stumped in the last debate. He's trying to slither away but Trump gonna stomp upon his head, watch.

He still came in second and not very far behind. If this were a normal election year his finish Iowa would actually be pretty good news for a typical candidate. It's only a morale loss for Trump since his personality is all about being #1 and winning.
I always hear about Get Out The Vote but I've never actually encountered them or anyone affiliated with them in offline real life.

The Rubio/Christie meltdown was painful to watch. I couldn't believe it when Rubio went into his little speech again for a THIRD time.

That's the Cruz/Rubio difference, I swear. If Christie tossed the same, directly-aimed ball, Cruz would have caught it, chewed it up, and spit it right back tipped with a "Bridgegate" labeled branding iron.
Lol I think you mean Rand Paul, he's the only one that has brought Bridgegate up so far to my recollection.

Well it's New Hampshire primary time, yay! Going to be very interesting to see if my servant Kasich's hard work and effort in the state pays off enough to keep him afloat. Another interesting dynamic will be Bush and Christie whom have also staked out New Hampshire much. Though it seems Bush is looking ahead to South Carolina now, it may be the end of the line for Christie if he does not have a strong showing. Then of course there is Trump whom despite doing well in Iowa suffered a demoralization for not coming in first. Should he somehow lose the New Hampshire Primary (unlikely) things may become very interesting.
Well while we wait for the NH primary results here's an interesting metaphorical appetizer.

On the GOP side of things Kasich won with 3 votes and Trump came in close second with 2. On the Democrat side of things it looks as if Sanders swept the board with 4 votes and none for Hillary.

Well Trump is winning NH quite handedly with around 34.7% of the vote. Kasich is second with half of that. Bush and Cruz are tussling for third.
I anticipate for things to largely hold steady at the top with Trump's lead narrowing a bit and Kasich holding steady at second.
The battle for third will be between Bush, Cruz, and Rubio. Cruz has the advantage of appealing to a different pool of voters whereas Rubio and Bush are playing hungry hungry hippos with everyone else. He could arrive at number three with a libertarian niche vote. That would be just plain fascinating.
If Rubio finishes behind Cruz, it will be a really bad night for him.

The race is pretty interesting. Very well pleased with how well my servant Kasich has done though I'd prefer it if he won of course. He deserves a strong showing after the amount of effort he put in that one and truly his just meat and bones record for Ohio is good. Definitely should keep Kasich going some more states, if he can last to Ohio he got that on lock, and with some backing is easily most viable conservative alternative to Trump. Could become a major player competing in the Midwest/Great Lakes and New England. Real challenge I foresee for him is hanging in fairly in the upcoming South and West races.
Heh Trump must be very well pleased tonight I imagine, he did quite well indeed. Should get his moxy up somewhat, and help re-energize his big supporters in the South. I think he will do well in South Carolina, though it seems that will be a battlefield somewhat too
Still though I noticed when watching news and eating dinner they had some crazy lines and traffic jams, and for a primary too. Oh man the General Election is going to be fierce! Wonder if that could be a last minute bump for someone.

Kind of a backfire of them closing so early is my opinion. Don't like them turning away voters, that's kinda crappy, they shoulda emergency extended voting time an hour or so in my opinion, but we'll see if this becomes an issue tomorrow I suppose lol. Maybe something the states upcoming might keep in mind. This the most interesting primary elections I ever seen, good stuff. Lol we definitely got that show factor talked about earlier on in this epic political saga.
