Well said person can speak for himself. I believe Mitspa is from the south. Protection of freedom,the right to bear arms,protecting their loved ones is very important to them. I married a southerner, I understand where Mitspa is coming from. They see a liberal mindset destroying our country,taking away our freedoms,putting our loved ones in danger.They see a president that has made us hated in the world and who is trying to destroy the country. A president who mocks Christianity and those who want the right to protect themselves and their families. They see a president who lights up the white house for gays but sits on his hands when the country asks for flags to be lowered to honor the dead.They see a president that defends Muslims more than Christians in his own country. And when liberal minded people start with the nonsense its more than some of us can take.

No one wanted to face it.No one wanted to believe Hitler wanted to be leader of the world. They tried to appease him,they tried to ignore him. In the end they had no choice but to face the truth. And Churchill was the one they stood behind.The one sounding the alarm. People are sounding the alarm. You can be blind and ignore it but it will not stop Islam and the truth that they are cleansing the world for their savior to return. Peaceful Muslims will join or be murdered the same as we infidels. So ya I understand how Mitspa and Utah and others feel. I feel the same way. Rather than ignoring it, I'm going to protect myself and anyone I care about, and hope and pray Jesus gets here soon so I don't have to see this on the news anymore.. Cause this is far from over and will not end. No matter who sounds the alarm. Like I have said, the only way it stops is when Jesus gets hehe. Til then, the world continues to burn to the ground... And as far as respect, this isn't directed at you but for those that hair people into these discussions by saying things like "leftwing liberal hating American." do to others as you would have done to you... Well I'll let you boys figure that out.You know when Jews were taken away to concentration camps Im sure they thought the world we ending. When Pearl Harbor was bombed Im sure Sunday sermons were saying "Jesus is at the door" But it wasn't the end. And 6 million + lives were lost because we were too slow to act.We cannot just sit and wait for the end.We must defend the innocent.We must stop ISIS where we can,block Islams message where we can.We cannot sit and let evil overtake the world.Greater is He in you. In the military you are to follow the last instructions you were given. And that is what we are to do. Protect the innocent,witness,spread the Gospel and fight the evil one with all that is within us. If Christians the instructions our God gave us as seriously as Muslims take their gods instructions what a different world it would be.
Evil has been since the beginning of time.. From Adam and Eve being deceived to the persecution of the Christian's... To much after Christ rose. Instances you just said. The same stuff will be happening when we are all dead.. That's if Jesus returns by then. I stand by in THAT is the only way this war ends. No,of course it will not end until Jesus brings peace.Satan is still loose in this world.We are not in heaven yet. Yes we are to be about love.We are to share the gospel and pray for the lost. But I dont think God doesn't intend for us to protect our country and our families.Otherwise we need to get rid of the military and cops etc.
Currently federal law requires a background on all purchases from a gun store and many states require a background check on purchases from private parties although that is near impossible to enforce. All of those background checks run through NCIC which is a federal database that all states report felony convictions and felony arrest warrants to. It is IMPOSSIBLE for a former felon to purchase a firearm from gun store however they can get them all day long on the black market usually at a fraction of the price that someone would pay from legal sources or use straw purchasers to obtain them.
The biggest problem when you look at most of these mass shootings is that the firearms were purchased by the shooter through legal means because they had no prior criminal record and there is no means of tracking persons with serious mental or emotional issues. Many persons with serious mental issues are not being seen by a professional whatsoever, and even in those cases such as James Holmes (the Aurora theater shooter) who was being seen by a professional, that provider is prohibited by privacy laws from saying anything about that person's condition unless they perceive the patient to be an imminent threat to themselves or others.
