It doesn't mean you agree with or condone the choices a person makes, its just a matter of if you believe people have right to make their own choices regarding religion or not.

Most pornography is not consensual. And even if it is it shouldn't be publicly distributed. I don't think objectifying someone is the same as hate speech. We could call a lot of things a form of freedom of expression but aren't and shouldn't be legal.

What if someone decided to say public nudity was a form of freedom of expression for them?

Oh, wait...that's already a movement. Bad example.


Either way. I don't feel like freedom of speech and freedom of distribution of porn exactly coincide.

This world is disgusting. And the nudist movement is stupid.

I wouldn't call it that. That's like calling it art. It's more a form of entertainment and a cash cow.
 
People trying to justify watching a certain TV show are ridiculous. There's no real reason to watch almost any TV show beyond entertainment.

"But there's a deeper message to it!" ...Okay? So? It's still a form of entertainment. That's all it is.

I like my share of different TV shows, don't get me wrong. But I'm not going to try to justify watching them by trying to say, "Well the overall message of it is this and that and I just love it!" I'm watching it because I'm bored. It's a form of entertainment. End of story.

That what its considered, expression isnt neccessarily art. Basically any film that someone wants to make can be considered a protected form of freedom of expression providing your not forcing anyone to do anything or physically harming someone. I could make a documentary on how BP has hurt the economy of Gulf States and damaged the local wildlife. BP wouldnt like it, I wouldn't call seagulls dying that are covered in oil head to toe art, but its freedom of expression nevertheless. I could also dress up like a monkey and play basketball if I wanted to, it doesn't even require an educational component.

Something can be a case of freedom of expression, entertainment, and a cash cow simultaneously. Even if its not art. And though you or I wouldnt consider such things art, there are people that do. Neither myself, you, or those people have a monopoly on what is and is not defined as art.

I wish porn wasn't present in society either. I could talk about the whole philosophy of freedom and the legalities of stuff all day long, but I dont think a very long conversation about it is appropriate here. Kinda touchy issue for CC

Smile, its all in fun. Just saying, since you brought it up, if everybody at the airport was naked, it would be easy to go thru security screening, since there'd be no where to hide anything. And another idea. Did you ever see those ppl that do body art/painting? The artists do such a good job that no one can tell that the model is only wearing paint, and they proved it at an airport, where a model walked around topless, and no one knew it. I sometimes wonder if EVERYBODY went around naked, there'd be a lot less judgement about appearance and body image since most of us would look pretty ridiculous. Then again, nothing would get done, since we'd all be laughing too hard. Bad idea for a number of reasons. Nevermind.:)

Please tell me he's at least a sovereign duke. At least some nobility along the lineage. Some aristocracy. Speaking for all of us here, I think we could all accept even a baron. Just .... tell us he's not a commoner.

Perhaps he's the Duke of Earl. (or is it the earl of duke?)
