Random thought: How ridiculous is it that prostitution is illegal, but pornography is legal? I.e. if you pay someone in exchange for sex, you're breaking the law - unless it's a production for distribution (and profit), then suddenly oh, that's different.

Both are extremely wrong and stupid and I don't know why anyone tolerates either of those things. The production and selling of pornography should be illegal. But some people think that would be "infringing upon people's rights." ...Whose rights are we referring to? The people who are laughing all the way to the bank by wrongly objectifying men and women? Or the people in front of the camera?

Similar night here, lynx. It was great, but in this case, pastor was really geeting some good direction out (sun nite is prayer/worship, no sermon message) but prayer became ppl in small groups confessing and praying for each other for healing and renewed vision for Jesus, then everyone praying collectively, in reverence of course, and then everyone, a hundred or more just moving to the front, most on our knees, and the prayer became worship, many tears flowed, much cleansing, much joy and asking God for more, and a new sense of purpose and thanksgiving, and seeking of ways to grow and be salt and light in these days. It was wonderful, we all pray with faith that God was pleased, and we hope sunday night church becomes like that more regularly. Of course, to God be the Glory, it is all His moving, and next week could be entirely different, as we wait for Him. Of course, we walk by faith and not by sight or feelings but isn't that gift of faith thru grace just great?!

In other news, I saw a fox on my bike ride today that was cool. Could be the last nice and, warm enough for me to be outside while readjusting to not being in the tropics anymore, day for a while. Fall was too short, it's not time for winter yet.

Both people's rights actually. I agree they are wrong, stupid, and unhealthy for all people involved but it is a form of freedom of expression providing everything is consensual. Same thing with hate speech, it is wrong stupid and immoral. But if you value freedom of speech, you basically have to acknowledge people have the right to say things you don't agree with or just abandon the concept of freedom of speech altogether. Its now only freedom of speech for people that agree with you, which isnt really freedom of speech.
No society that has tried very strict definitions of what you can and can't do ever turned out well. This is how you get your Stalins, Hitlers, Maos, etc. Even freedom of religion. We all know Christ is the way, the Truth, and the life......but if you also support freedom of religion and the right for people to choose their own religious beliefs, you have to also acknowledge that a satanist has the right to be a satanist if they choose or you don't really believe in Freedom of Religion at all. It doesn't mean you agree with or condone the choices a person makes, its just a matter of if you believe people have right to make their own choices regarding religion or not.
