Well, folks, it is lunch time here in India. I am going to tuck into my lunch while the rest of you either sleep or watch. :p

In other news, the last couple of months have been .... interesting, for me. Being a control freak who likes to be making all the decisions that concerns me, it is nice to let go of it once in a while. It feels ... weird, but nice. :)

That's why I don't watch horror movies... I live alone... I have no one to run to if I get scared...

And considerind the last time it happened it was with "The Sixth Sense" and it took me 2 weeks to gather enough courage to go to the kitchen by myself at night, then.... nope... not watching...
Sixth Sense kept me out of the kitchen at night too! :D

SPOILER ALERT: Funny thing is that the star (the kid) Haley Joe Osment said it was hard to act scared in that scene because that woman was going around the set making everyone laugh with her makeup on.

The sixth sense isn't scary. Try watching Children of the Corn.
I am glad we don't have cornfields here :p

best / worst depending on how you see it is the Ring. *shudders*

I did watch children of the corn a long time ago. I didn't find it scary, but I know a lot of people did. The Ring was pretty scary though. The original japanese movie it was based on was even scarier.

I don't watch scary things either. Even suspense. I don't like to be afraid
Yeah, what she said. I don't understand why people enjoy being scared.

Also (possibly as a direct result of not watching scary movies) I never have nightmares. Like... never. I have dreams, and sometimes - especially if I have eaten pizza for supper - I can have some rather bizarre dreams, but never nightmares.

Speaking of dreaming. I wonder who spread the myth that you don't feel pain in dreams

I used to think that the people who chased me in my dreams could never actually catch me, but one night I was being chased down a city street by a lunatic with a gun and I tried to hide behind some cover but he caught up to me and shot me three times. I felt each shot and it did seem to hurt a lot in my dream, and after I woke up I still felt in my mind like I had been shot, and I felt a slight lingering of pain where I was "shot". It was weird, and scary.

The dream might have been the effect, not the cause. You might have had a sharp pain, and your sleeping mind incorporated it into the dream as a gunshot wound.

No, I didnt have any pain when I went to bed and the lingering sensation went away within a minute. It was just a freaky dream. :(

I also had another dream where knives sprung up and suspended themselves in the air and were chasing me around inside a house. I woke up screaming. I've always had nightmares since I was little, but I've only woken up screaming a few times. I was actually on vacation in hawaii when this dream happened. It was an awesome vacation too, so I have no idea where the dream came from.

I used Vodka, about 25 oz. and 5 Madagascar Vanilla Beans. Slice each bean once, long ways and drop it n the vodka bottle. Shake it once or twice a week. It should be ready after 8 weeks.
Thanks LiJo...wow 8 weeks lag time..I had no idea.

yep. that's pretty much what I did. I had a 750 ml bottle. I took a little out to make room for the beans (I'm sure I did something constructive with the shot or so that I had to take out).

Lol so I am betting it wasn't "Joe Bob generic"

But the recipe I used must have called for more, because I see about 9-10 beans in there. I've had them in for a couple of years and am about halfway done with the bottle (time to make more). The smell and taste really got good at about the fourth month.
4 months!!

If I start a batch now it should be ready for the Holiday season. Guess what I'm doing this weekend!

woot woot..so excited. Be sure to look for my update in 3-4 months.

What in the world kind of movies do you watch? o_O

And did the knives have any reason for chasing you? Did they say anything? Or did they just want some exercise?

I've had the same experience, only I think I was "shot" almost ten times. Worst nightmare of my life
